Recently went back so here is the update as of Feb 2013: Â I visited one year ago and things were fine.. but since this business has failed its quality and customers. Â My review seems very similar to others which shows consistency in caring for their own business. Â I would not reccomend nor will i return.
Dining area had nobody in it but all tables were left dirty with dishes and trash.  Trash filled the floor of the dining area and lobby.  Soda machine and items around it was trash and dirty.  Ordered online - online it said food was made.. It was not it had not even hit the oven yet.  One Staff member was busy on phone talking personal items vs cleaning or cooking.  I would not recommend this any longer just due to the lack of cleaning and care.  Makes me worry about  quality of food safety , washing of hands etc the staff behind the counter has.
I noticed a number of poor reviews, but it looks like this place is under new management. They were friendly and welcoming. The pizza was great. I definitely recommend the sausage. I only took off a star because getting our pizza took a little longer than expected - but the wait was worth it.
Review Source:Really?? Â How hard is it to take an order and deliver it??? Â Who is running this location? Â
So I order and an hour and a half later no pizza. Â I call and am told they had it down for carry-out,
Unfortunately it is not the first time that  have had problems with what should be the easiest part of this transaction.....Delivery!
Then why did I give you my address and you tell me it would be 45-55 minutes? Â This store has a very captive pizza crowd and they are slowly pissing off every potential customer off. Â There are 2 other chains in Stapleton who are no better but I hear there is a new pizza place moving into the area (not a chain). Â
If you are the only place in the area making and delivering pizza good for you, but your not. Â
Get your act together!!
YES, I know this is another "Chain" Pizza Establishment, but both Hubs and I are curious about what Marco's Pizza has to offer since we have been receiving their Coupons in our mailbox every single week.
SUNDAY : September 2nd 2012
BASED ON DELIVERY Experience....
For one, I am so "pissed" about this establishment, coz it took them like almost an hour just to get our order to our door steps... well, for one, the lady who took our order, "mistyped" our house address hence with that delayed delivery. Â We made our order thru the phone and used the Coupon and wanted Pizza for that evening. Â Called Marco's Pizza Northfield Stapleton Location Time : 21:11hrs
These were what we ordered that evening :
* Â 1 XL Pizza ($17.99)
* Â 1 Cheesy Bread ($4.99)
* Â 2 Litre Mug Rootbeer ($2.49)
* Â 10 BBQ Wings ($6.99) with Jalapeno Ranch
Delivery Charge ($2.00)
* Â With Coupon (- $5.47)
Our Food Arrived @ our Door Step @ 22:11hrs.
At least the lady who took our order, returned an apologetic phone call about the mistyped address info.
The XL Pizza, we opt to have pineapple and chicken as toppings for our Pizza Order. Â I am curious about the Jalapeno Ranch sauce that comes with my order of BBQ Wings. Â Hmmm.... Â I want to like the Pizza and the BBQ Wings with A-OKAY rating BUT due to the delivery mixed up led to this "GENEROUS" 2 star reviews...
@124/2012
This place really needs help. Â The place was dirty---all the tables needed to be wiped down (no dishes but salt and other debris was present). Â There was food all over the floor and this was at 5:30 with only 2 other people there (not like it was just after lunch and they had not had time to clean up yet. Â it was deserted and prior to a dinner rush, so it should have been clean).
The initial guy I spoke to told me about a special, but by the time i ordered i had to deal with another employee who had no clue about the special the other guy told me about, so it took him  a couple of minutes to figure out how to adjust the order to match the price of the special. (That's fine as he may be new, but I don't think that was the case)  I then tried to pay with my American Express--after a couple of swipes and a curious look on the employeees face, I said maybe you do  not take Amex.  i looked back to the door and there was no Amex sticker--so I decided to tell him to try my Visa instead.  Seems like they would know what forms of credit they take.
Again, maybe he was new.
Lastly the pizza was not all that great IMO. Â The dough was tasteless. Â The toppings were OK, but they seemed to all be lumped in the middle of the pizza and not distributed evenly towards the outside of the pizza. Â If it was, maybe I wouldn't have noticed how bland the dough tasted.
I will say they guy that rang me up washed his hands prior to making my pizza, but I also noticed another employee who was on the fun, touching things and himself (not in that way) did not wash his hands prior to handling dough and making a pizza!!!!
Not sure it this place will make it!!
Let me start by saying that I actually like the pizza here. Â The crust w/the garlic is good, and the cheesy bread is good (though the reviewer who mentioned the cold marinara dipping sauce is right on).
However, my last experience there will probably be just that, my last. Â I had family visiting from out of town and we were ending our day out going to the Improv Comedy Club in Northfield, so I suggested having pizza at Marco's before the show. Â I had pulled up the menu on my phone earlier in the day and let my family check it out and we had planned to order one of their online deals. Â Of course my phone died before we got to the restaurant and I didn't have my charger with me. Â We got our tickets to the Improv and figured we'd walk into Marco's and see if they would just honor the online deal since we obviously knew what it was (and I had in the past done this for a work lunch when we were also at Stapleton). Â We got to Marco's and I explained my situation to the guy at the counter, and he said there was nothing he could do, we'd just have to pay full price. Â I told him it had been done in the past, he said he didn't know how to do that. Â I asked to talk to a manager, he said he was the manager. Â I've never been to any retail location where a manager could not override the cash register if need be, and I've never been to a restaurant where the manager would rather see paying customers walk out the door and go somewhere else than eat at his restaurant, but that's exactly what happened. Â We left, walked a few doors down, and went to Red Robin's new concept restaurant Burgerworks. Â While not the pizza we were expecting, Burgerworks was good and the soda machine was so cool my brother took pictures to post on facebook. Â I e-mailed Marco's corporate to let them know about my frustration, and received a nice reply from their customer service saying my issue was important to them and they would forward it to the franchise owner who would respond back to me right away. Â More than a week later I still never heard from that person. Â Check out another Marco's location if you want to try their pizza, but Northfield Marco's certainly does not care about their customers.
The only reason why it gets one star Is because I have to in order to yelp it. Â We walked in. No one greeted us. We stood there for a few minutes looking around trying to figure out if anyone actually worked behind the counter. Said "hello" a few times just to see if anyone would help us order and nothin. We saw other customers eating so we knew there had to be someone behind the counter. But no one ever came to the counter for us. So we turned around and walked out. Booooooooo!
Review Source:I'm between 2 and 3 stars for this pizza joint. Â
We stopped in for a bite to eat after an afternoon movie at Harkins. Â Pizza sounded like it would hit the spot.
First star off - for a place that claims to do pizza by the slice, it's pretty limited. Â We were looking at their menu and the girl behind the counter said they can do plain cheese pizza, peperoni, or sausage. Â When we asked if we could do peperoni and sausage she said NO. Â So, only those options or the special for the day. Â For a place that advertises pizza by the slice, customers are very limited.
Second Star Off - We ordered the cheesy bread and what typically comes with it, marinara sauce - you guessed it! Â Now, we're eating in the restaurant so we expect at least the basic. Â So we're looking for the great taste and we grab a steaming hot piece of cheesy bread and dip it into the marinara sauce, take a bite, and to our surprise STONE COLD marinara sauce. Â Talk about destroying the cheesy bread experience.
It pains me to give this place 2 stars since the place actually has good cheesy bread and pizza we received was pretty good. Â
News to the owner, how about offering a slice of pizza and charging $.25-$.50 per topping so I can get what I want. Â And, this is a must, please take the extra 10 seconds and heat up the marinara sauce. Â
I rounded the whole experience down to 2 stars based on the variety offerings and the cold marinara sauce.
Ehh its ok I guess.
Starting with the food I'll say it's ok. They claim the pizza is authentic Italian. Ummm NO, not even close. Still for a next to the movie theater pizza joint, it's not bad.
The staff seemed a bit unorganized but they were friendly and helpful. For those looking for a deal, the menu in the window advertises a reduced price for orders of two pizzas' or more but the menu inside lacks this detail. I told the manager about the mix up and he gave me the special price.
Overall not bad at all, I can see myself eating here again.
First I have to say I had no idea what to expect from this place and had a Groupon to try it. Â It sits next to the theater at Northfield and does not look too fancy, which is just fine. Â What set it apart? Â
The customer service!
I walked in with my 3 kids and the manager opened up a real conversation with us immediately she told us what her specials were and recommendations. Â When my son asked a question she was knowledgeable and descriptive about her product. Â She asked if we liked soccer and actually gave us 4 tickets to this evening's Rapids play-off game. Â The tables were not as clean as I would have liked them and the pizza did not come out very quickly on the down sides for as many people as were in the restaurant.
The pizza!
When the pizza arrived the crust is awesome and fresh. Â The price was reasonable especially after the specials and the Groupon.
Would I go back?
Yes.............................Thank you
I ate here with my wife and three kids and we all liked the pizza, though it is not amazing or anything. Â I thought the crust was better than average, and the rest of the pizza was just a touch above average. Â The prices are reasonable, but its not a super good deal. Â The patio was nice on a warm summer night, with a good view of the fountain and some nice shade in the evening. Â Finally, the staff was a little more friendly than I would have expected. Â
I would say if you have your kids with you, and you need to eat and have a half hour before a movie starts, this would be a pretty decent choice. Â Certainly not worth going out of the way for though.
