My 140 char: Sliders with a side of cheese fries and a shake? This is just the place for these. Such friendly service.
Tips!
1. They have punch cards that works PER burger ordered so make sure you ask about that.
2. When ordering the Cheese Fries ask for the cheese on the side or else the fries on the bottom will taste soggy.
Food Ordered:
Regular Slider*, Pulled Pork Slider, Cheese Fries, Espresso Shake*,
* = das the stuff.
My Experience:
Start from 5 stars and then I subtract:
Food: Gosh darn it Mark, you guys just know how to satisfy my slider craving. Their regular sliders are just the thing to start off every visit, I would get one (minimum) every visit. I tried their Pulled Pork Slider this time and it was delicious and wish I knew about this earlier! I personally enjoyed their cheese fries but my friends did not like the flavoring in it so it might vary in your party. Finally the Espresso Shake is so good as well and it goes very well with a slider (or two..or more) (-0.25)
Place: I personally like the layout of the place, bar/grill section in the middle and a nice lounge area in the back. It is very small/narrow so you might have trouble moving around or seating people comfortably. Also due to its size it might get a little loud and you would have to speak up (not a problem for me personally) (-0.50)
Service: People here are really nice, I once was seated at the bar/grill area and the cook gave us an order of fries on the house (free fries!). The waitresses don't just take your order, they take care of you making sure your orders are received and asking once in a while how the meal is going (great of course). Definitely a place to bring your group of friends (4-6 max in my opinion) (0.00)
Worth: Their prices might seem a little bit high for one burger ($2.75 for the regular) but I found out most of my friends and I are full around 2 Â 3 with a side of fries. Totaling all that together isn't too expensive for a place that's in Saint Mark's and the food just taste so good. (0.00)

Best sliders and cheese fries in Manhattan!!! Great chill spot for burgers, fries, shakes,
beers and wine! The bacon shake is amazing and I don't even care for savory shakes. During HH, all drafts, including Guinness is $3! Â I'm moving to the UWS side and if I'm ever back in the E. Village, this is my spot!!!
what do you do after imbibing a few cocktails at east village?! you head to Mark for their delicious sliders and french fries! oh and possibily milk shakes depening on how hungry you are.  And let me tell you, I don't feel the slightest guilt  putting those sliders and french fries (of cos w/o cheese on both) in my belly, blame it on alcohol, but also cos they're so delicious, the sliders are juicy and flavorful!  I love sitting by the bar and watch how it's being prepared. it's a small place, service and staffs are friendly and attentive.
Review Source:Obsessed with this place!!! It's totally a dive but it's awesome. Great cheese fries, great great great sliders, delicious shakes, decent beer selection, friendly staff. I've tried most things on their menu by now. They have tons of sauces to go with the sliders. I normally order the bacon sliders, or the pulled pork if i want to mix it up. I love the Guinness shake and the vanilla shake is great too! You can order just as much as you think you are hungry for so it's not unnecessarily expensive. For instance, I normally get 1-3 sliders depending on my hunger whereas my boyfriend gets 5!!
Review Source:I've been here once. I highly doubt that I'll plan to return.
Was here with a friend, late night. I ordered three regulars and my friend ordered 1 regular and 1 bacon.. What I received was 2 regulars and 1 bacon, and my friend received 2 regulars.. So basically, her bacon slider got switched with my regular. So we started eating. The first one I had was the bacon slider, and it was delicious, but I didn't know there was bacon in it (I'm not supposed to eat bacon..).. the waitress forgot to tell us that the bacon slider had a toothpick in it. I saw the toothpick, removed it, and ate the slider. It was my first time there and I don't know. IT IS HER FUCKING JOB TO INFORM PATRONS OF THIS TYPE OF SHIT... Â my friend momentarily got upset that she couldn't have her bacon slider, which is what she really wanted. Waitress was nice, but she fucked that up royally.
So besides that mess... Prices were sort of up there.. I know it's manhattan and they supposedly grind their own meat, but they are fucking sliders, so they shouldn't cost so much.
5 sliders, 1 cup of chili, 2 beers came out to $32 before tip.
and because i didnt know that my first slider was a bacon slider until I finished it, the subsequent 2 sliders I had didn't taste as good BECAUSE BACON MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER.. the bacon slider ruined the taste of the two regular sliders for me..
Forgot to review Mark's when I first ate it. The sliders are great and I think it's worth the money. Perfect for just hanging out with your friends and having a good time. The chili-cheese fries were super good too (just a hint of spicyness mm).
The staff is really nice! The waitress complimented my hair which made my day :).
Was in the area looking for something quick to eat for dinner with a few friends. We went in blind not knowing if it was good or not but it's a burger can't really mess that up too much. Once in we realized it was a slider joint. The sliders were good, out of the turkey, veggie and regular slider I'd have to say that the turkey was the best, the veggie was little too greasy and mushy, the regular was fine but not as flavorful as the turkey. We also split the Guinness milkshake which was really really good. Service was ok, a bit slow but I guess it was pretty dead so the server kinda spaced out a little talking to the bartender but overall she was nice. I'd recommend giving it a try.
Review Source:Walking in I felt like it smelled like White Castle lol. Â I came solo so I grabbed a seat at the bar ordered 2 sliders and a Brooklyn Summer Ale. Â Twas a wonderful dinner I must say. Â I didn't feel odd about coming solo since the waitresses were so friendly and stopped and chatted with me and even gave me the wifi password so I could catch up on the news a la huffpost since I had no service in there. Â The sliders are def a step up from White Castle despite the smell and the beer was great. Â A lot of ppl seem to rave about the chipotle ketchup but it just tasted like regular ketchup to me, I preferred the jalepeno and bbq mixed. Â I'll be back but with a friend or 2 so I can try the chili cheese fries, the serving looked massive and I was not about to try to tackle that alone. Â Nothing really knocked my socks off but it was cheap and the space was comfortable so I'd def be back
Review Source:This place has the best sliders. I got my sliders with cheese and onion and they were absolutely delicious. You put their special ketchup on it and it accompanies the sliders like magic. The bread is extra soft and the patty is pretty good for a slider. You must eat it while it is warm for it is not as good when it cools down. When they cook it, you can see the onions cooking on top of the meat. I also had the bacon milkshake, it's okay.. i didn't really like it that much. But Sliders are Must try! If you haven't tried their sliders, then you haven't lived!
Review Source:If it's not made of beef and covered with onions, it's not a slider. End of story. Anything else, whether it's turkey, pulled pork, or Spam with pineapple, is just a little sandwich. That said, Mark does sliders right. Start with a meatball, squash it with the spatula, put raw onions on, flip it, squash it some more, put cheese on (if you want), and finish the bun on the grill. Tasty, greasy, steamy goodness.
This was just a quick late night snack during a pub crawl, so I just got a couple of sliders to go. Yes, they are wildly overpriced, but so is the rest of Manhattan. After a few hours of drinking, when your wallet opens a little easier, it really doesn't seem too bad. I'll be back, and next time I'll get some fries and one of these shakes everyone is talking about.
5 stars just for the Guinness shake. Â I inquired with the waitress and she gracefully informed our table that the shake originally starts with alcohol-laced Guinness but when boiled during the shake making process, the alcohol burns off.
But, an avid Guinness drinker like me still got a stout after taste of Guinness in the shake. Â Definitely better than other beer shakes i have tasted (ie.Yard House) the most smooth and delicious hands down.
Sliders were good. Â Cheese fries were made with that liquid-ish mexican orange cheese I think. Â not a fan, might just get plain fries next time.
oh, And the sliders were good.
Marks' Burger is like a hipster white castle, that plays a lot of Ja- Rule and gangster rap.
Awesome place with some really good sliders what New Yorks call small hamburgers like Crystals or White Castle. The mini hamburgers are small  but really good and come with onions and cheese in a soft bread and you can put whatever sauce you want(chipotle,BBQ,Jalapeno,Chipotle) they also offer other things like fries and even beer but the place is famous for it's burgers.
Small place but it has a nice atmosphere inside and the bathroom looks like a room with low lights and good and quick food, they cook your food near by but they take the plates down stairs to wash.
Good service and good food, one slider cost $1.50.
First time here but I will be back soon.
I decided to give Mark a try based on one or Yelp's weekend recommendations and I'm glad I did. Â Located in St. Mark's, the venue is located close to my home and I think I'm going to make this my go-to slider spot. Â So far, I've had the Burger, Turkey Burger and the Pull Pork sliders and they're all excellent. Â Wash this down with a cold brew and you're in heaven.
The venue is quite narrow with seating areas in the front, back and right at the bar! The bartender, waitress and the cook will all chat with you if you're so inclined and made eating alone much easier. Â Be sure to check this place out the next time you're in the area! P.S. Their air condition is a godsend in this humid summer weather we're having.
Hands down best slider spot in NYC!
You can't beat the price a grass fed slider for only $2.50! It's the same price as a White Castle burger and its bigger then a White Castle burger.
I'm 6'4 230lbs and 3 sliders stuff me!
I'd also highly recommend the Guiness shake its extremely delicious and so smooth
I love Mark! I go to Mark for the delicious chilli cheese fries and interesting milk shakes when I'm too lazy to walk to Shake Shack (or can't afford to...heh heh).
The slides are delicious and greasy, if that's your thing. It's a cozy, semi-well-lit place to go with 2 to 3 people. Anything more than that and it's a little cramped.
OMG I'm in love with this place. A friend took me here the other day. She wanted me to try the Guinness Shake (which tasted pretty good). The sliders tastes like heaven. I had 2 bacon sliders, the shake, and 2 beers. Also the whole time we was there, nothing but great music was playing (Aaliyah, Missy, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson...). It was as if they knew she was bringing me to the spot. There is a happy hour special going on from 3-7. Sliders were $2 & change and 3$ beers.
The only negative thing I can say about it is that its really small, and the bathroom didn't look great. But other than that, this is definitely a place worth checking out. I plan to come back soon.
p.s. They also had friendly employees.
Mark, hands down, has the best sliders that I've ever had. 1) I'm not a huge hamburger person, but I can't get enough of these scrumptious slides and 2) the fries.
I use to pass this place all the time and then once in 2010 some friends and I decided to try it....life changing. The sliders are inexpensive and they're fries...oh my, they're so good. It's here that I discovered that I enjoy malt vinegar on my fries. Mark is yet another place that I bring friends and earn brownie points for. definitely tops my list.
Great, quality sliders at a cheap price! Each variety (cheese, bacon, onion, etc.) is equally good. The cheese fries here are AWESOME, and I don't even usually like nacho-y cheese. Add a couple beers and you'll be good to go!
The only thing I wish they had more of here was a full bar with liquor. These already tasty eats would be EVEN better under a thick(er) layer of inebriation that beer/wine just can't give. I'd recommend going here AFTER you've been drinking at one of the nearby bars and have gotten your drunchies (drunk + munchies, duh) appetite well whetted (lol that word..).
FIVE STARS!
My boyfriend took me here and told me their sliders are " sooo goooood". I had to see for myself anddddd he was right.
We each ordered three regular sliders with fries and pickles on the side. Finished it with speed because it was delicious. We couldn't help but order more but this time with bacon..mmmm...
Though the sliders are small, after eating four or five, you will be full and satisfied! Their fries were decent but sliders are a must! Each table has four different types of sauces for you to use but we stick with the barbecue sauce.
Definitely going back this weekend!
What a big disappointment.
Stopped in with a small group last night to try these 'amazing sliders' and was so confused by all the hype. Â I'll say this first, I'm no longer a beef eater however I do know a good burger - this is not it. Â I've never had a White Castle burger but my gf likened these to them and aesthetically, I can definitely see the similarity. Â
Ordered the turkey burger with cheese and onions first - not good. Â Not even smothered in Jalepeno AND Chipotle Ketchup could this thing come close to being good. Â Â
Not one to give up and still pretty excited, I tried the bacon slider. Â Meh. Â Not much better than the turkey version. Â Half way through I noticed a pretty long and super straight strand of black hair poking out of the slider. Â EWWWW. Â I'm blond, the bartender (Donna) had wavy brown hair and the cook had really short, spikey hair. Â So whose hair was it?! DOUBLE EWWW. Â
Donna was good about whisking the offending slider away then replaced it with another, which I quickly passed on to my brother. Â
I'm giving this place two stars only because the Guiness shake was amazing and Donna was super nice. Â I would return again to try the candied bacon shake but not anytime soon.
Craving that meat or burger? This place always hits the spot!!
Their sliders, although small, are juicy and delicious, with flavors exploding in your mouth on every bite! I love that they put out 4 different ketchups (regular, jalapeno, chipotle, and bbq) so you can have fun mixing and matching sauces for every slider you get! I normally get full with 3 of them and of course with an order of cheese fries! Can't beat the price and quality of this place. Service is the only thing that is spotty as I've had awful waitresses some nights, and then extremely fun and attentive waitresses on other nights.
I'm never really blown away by burger sliders because I think pulled pork sliders trump them anytime, but this place made me LOVE burger sliders. They taste great with chipotle or BBQ sauce but it's totally unnecessary because they're so flavorful!
The chili cheese fries are very delicious, but the cheese is what makes it. I would inhale that whole dish with or without the chili.
Tasty sliders. but really, how good can a slider be?
Definitely overpriced for the price you pay for 2 tiny sliders. with the same price, i could get equally awesome halal or mamouns down the street. I'd never really come back for them unless i'm really craving their guiness milkshake, which i havent tried before.
so..i guess im coming back but this time, just for the shake
Recommends: Burger Sliders, Milkshakes
Ordered: Bacon Slider, Vanilla Milkshake, Fries
Spent: $2.95 for the Bacon Slider, $6 for the Milkshake
1 AM milkshakes shouldn't be out of the ordinary when you're in NYC right? So after some hip shakin shenanigans in the LES, we were dying for some late night creamy dairy relief. I don't know what was more sad: us wanting milkshakes at 1 AM, or LES almost not having a good milkshake place at this hour. But thank god we found Mark and got more than what we expected. Clearly.
This place isn't  your go to if you want something swanky and upscale. But then again, it's 1 AM. So we found Mark with it's bar/dive esque, hookah bar like hangout cove, over-loved synthetic red couches, low hanging ceiling, small seating area in the back with the bar total capacity not more than your typical living room. BUT the music isn't too loud, the food is great, service with a smile, and a just genuinely the place for a late night hangout.
The milkshakes are HUGE. Though not your fancy homemade ice cream-it's an AMAZING "Breyer's" milkshake that will satisfy any craving especially with that pound of whip cream on top. And the sliders are totally worth the amount of fat and carbs you're ingesting. Remember those awk moments when you get that amazing delish burger at that uppity restaurant, and then realize you can't fit the darn thing in your mouth? Yea, well these sliders have all the flavor (and the juice!) without the mess and hassle. So try them all--the bacon, the turkey if you want to be healthy but no matter the choice, your belly and your wallet will thank you. Hallelujah for Marks.
Decent tiny sliders in a small bar type restaurant
// LOCATION // St. Marks
// FOOD //
+ Cheeseburger slider: Adorably small with a juicy patty.
+ French fries: The fries were decent and tasted freshly cut with the skin on
*tip: A variety of different sauces on the table for your burger (ketchup, BBQ, etc)
*tip: They charge for pickles
This is "that" bar on St. Marks, and probably the only in NY, that has a colorful bull on top of the plastic awning. Although it might be difficult to spot once the sun goes down, their string lights are difficult to miss.
This place is a casual and cozy bar on the St. Marks Strip. It's a good place to go for a small bite or a few drinks with friends. Bars in New York, begin to feel all the same... especially in St. Marks where bars are heavily concentrated. Very few can stand out with authentic details. Although their menu is small, it cuts my decision-making time in half! The odd is what tends to catch my eye. They have a Guinness milkshake as well as a candied bacon milkshake. I love savory but definitely not in drink form!
Must try= The Guinness milkshake. It was creamy, delicious! There was actually barely any alcohol in this at all. So for my fellow light-weights, feel free to chug this entire cup and boast about it after. No shame!
Their menu is filled with fast appetizers. Little fillers, that wet the appetite for more food! I ordered the Chili Cheese Fries ($6) and the Regular Sliders ($2.50 e). The meat is juicy like it should be and the caramelized onions give it a flavor boost. Do yourself a favor and take your butt over to Marks and get yourself a slider!
The deets? This bar has happy hour from 3 PM to 7 PM Monday through Friday. Otherwise, beers are $6 each! For Blue Moon lovers, they did not have any at this location. For a closer option, try Shock Top. If you only carry plastic, Mark is still game. This place accepts credit cards. They were playing mostly top Jams when I was there. Just my kind of music.
Cheap and cozy! I respect restaurants that have authentic details on the menu. Definitely will be coming back for more.
