I dined here with my parents and we were so far from impressed it turned to anger. The whole experince and food was nothing more then a 1 star.
When we arrived we were seated right in front of the door. Seriously?! Its January and 10 degrees out. There are a couple other seats in front of the door in which people asked to be moved and we niely moved over one seat, not moved to a different area of the restaurant. When you go to dinner you at least expect to take your coat off and not get blasted in the face by cold air eveytime a customer opens the door. The man who seated us was rude and short with us.Mind you these reservations were made weeks ago so this was no last minute seating arrangment. In order to get a good seat you had to know the guy at the front counter.Everytime saw a friend come in the door they immediatly got seated in the back room.Damn,I'm sure it was all warm and cozy back there.
So besides the rude service, horrible table seating the food was terrible. Oh and terribly over priced for the crappy portions.
My parents ordered soup to start.I would have but there wasnt a vegetarian option. My mom described it as a dishwater soup so I take it that it didnt have a very nice flavor. The menu scared me with all the veal and pheasant on it.I kept thinking of the amount of baby cows this place goes through a year.eekk!
I ordered a eggplant pasta thing that was one little spiral in the middle of big a** white plate. My mom ordered the cannelloni w/ bolognese which was the same thing 2 little 4 inch cannelloni with bolognese that looked like taco meat slopped ontop. Dad ordered some special of rolled beef thing.Everyone agreed that our meals were flavorless.
The guy at the front also yelled in front of everyone because she placed a not so "special" couple at one of his special reserved tables. I felt embarassed for the girl and him.The place is tiny and everyone witnessed his outburst.
Next time we would rather take our $180 somewhere else.Somewhere we could leave full too!
