This place is right around the corner from my work and a really great place for lunch. Their sandwiches are delicious (both the hot and the cold varieties). I really like their pasta salad and also their broccoli salad. I really like that the cold cuts are cut very thin. We often get sandwich platters and some salads as well as cookies catered into work for business lunches. They haven't disappointed yet. I really like their peanut butter cookies as well!
One other bonus to stopping in here: they have ginger ale on tap. That's a pretty rare find and I love it!
Went to Midday for my first time yesterday and it was decent. I appreciated the friendly service from the staff, but the sandwiches were nothing too spectacular. I had heard good things about the potato salad but I found the potato chunks a bit tough and the consistency to be very dry. I like to support local businesses so I'd go back, but probably not very often unless I worked close by. Give it a try sometime!
Review Source:Simple good lunch food with no nonsense
Midday is in a strip mall that's seen better days, set well back from 86th street, obscured by a liquor store, almost kitty-corner from the shiny national chains of Trader's Point. It's easy to overlook, but well worth stopping.
They have soups and hot and cold sandwiches with the option of house-made sides. Their food is appealing; they use good quality ingredients and put them together well. Something as simple as a grilled ham and cheese sandwich becomes crave-worthy in their hands.
The service is polite, fast, and competent. I have the feeling that the owners were either working there or visited frequently; the feeling that somebody really cares.
It isn't discount food, a hot sandwich with a soda and a side pretty can pretty well kill $10, but it's good! With so many mediocre lunch options near Park 100, often with disappointing service, I'm willing to pay a little more for a  meal I won't regret later.
I am shocked! First to review Midday Deli?! Well, I'm proud to speak about such wonderful people that work here and the delicious, fresh food they prepare. They also do catering as well and that was my first contact with them. I worked for a hotel that did not have a kitchen, but we had a good size meeting room and an adjoining breakfast room. Midday Deli catered several meetings and always would bring our staff a little something for appreciation if we were the ones who recommended them (usually cookies.) However we loved when the meeting people ordered too much food and then asked us if we wanted the leftovers. If you've never worked in hotels, whoever said, "There's no such thing as a free lunch," was a darned liar!
Anyhoo, their sandwiches and sides were fantastic. The bread was fresh and tasty and the sandwich combinations where perfect. When I found out that they are open for lunch only (since we were in the largest business park in the state) I stopped in one day while out on corporate business. I ran into several people I know and they helped me pick out some great original sandwiches like their three cheese grilled cheese and their hot ham and cheese. Their soups were freshly made daily and a very good accompaniment even on a hot day.
The restaurant is basic bus your own tables with disposable everything, so not exactly an environmentally friendly. But they do have vegetarian friendly dishes and a few of their soups and salads can qualify as vegan. Outdoor seating is available and their one-size soft drinks are bottomless.
What makes this mom and pop so great are the people and the pleasant vibe that is exuded and shown by them. Their helpful suggestions and polite conversation shows that everyone here has an intimate knowledge of their restaurant and are genuinely delighted to serve you in their business. Smiles abound and thank yous are plenty. Although you'll probably spend a little more here than at a chain restaurant, the quality and service here justifies the price. Again, hours are limited to lunch and they are usually not open on weekends, but if you have a chance to stop in, or if you are thinking about their catering, you cannot go wrong with Midday Deli.
