Monster, what the heck happened to you. The soul and lifeblood of the place Gabe goes away and the place falls apart.

Half the taps are empty, what's left of the craft bottles are old and skunked.

Seriously, what's with Natural Light on Tap? Natural Light consistently rated in the top 5 worst beers of all time. <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ratebeer.com%2FRatings%2FTheWorstBeers.asp&s=855966299c2753f54a7a76930087f21dd579e0c20deffabe1290481e20a283b3" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.ratebeer.com/…</a>

Other taps could be great if the lines were cleaned better (Had a Widmer Columbia Common which is a Spring Seasonal normally an exceptional beer and it tasted wrong)

I really want to support my local Monster B's but you need to take steps to improve.  If you are going to only use a few of the beer lines make them solid by: cleaning the lines regularly, picking taps that make sense for the clientele (you started as a craft alternative with amazing wings and BBQ to the downtown bars, now you have become a bar with no focus and mediocre food),

I used to love this place and now only stop by to see the friendly bartender and grab a craft when I want to avoid the downtown scene.  I really want this place to succeed, they have a great outdoor deck which is unique for Stamford or Fairfield County for that matter.  But now, what a Monster....

Nice bar atmosphere and convenient location. Food you know is bar food but that's what peeps crave sometime. But if I order a ny strip steak for $22 please don't make me have to cut away 30% of fat and grizzle. If you r going to offer it at least get a decent cut of meat.  Did mention it when waitress asked "how was it" but didn't get a response so I don't think they really give a ?$it!!!!

    True story:

I'm at Monster B's with two friends, I'll call them Reasonable Steve and Unreasonable Steve. Unreasonable Steve, as his name might imply, has had way too much to drink. So much so that his usually fun and amicable personality had turned to unnecessary rancor, specifically in the area of demanding another drink...

Unreasonable Steve: "*#&% YOU, I WANT ANOTHER BEER! MYAHHH!"

Reasonable Steve, doing his best to maintain the peace, gets the attention of the bartender, but motions her to the far end of the bar... A quick conversation ensues...

Reasonable Steve: "Hey, um, you got any non-alcoholic beer?"
    Bartender: "Yeah, I got O'Doull's..."
Reasonable Steve: "Ok good, but I need a favor. Could you open it up down here and pour it into a pint glass?"
Bartender: "Yeah, no problem. I see what's going on..."

The "beer" is poured, eventually handed to Unreasonable Steve, and he's none the wiser. After the quick stumble home to their apartment, Reasonable Steve reveals his ploy...

Reasonable Steve: "You know that last beer you had was an O'Doull's, right?"
Unreasonable Steve: "Sigh... ya know... I was about to get mad at you, but... thanks buddy, you're a good pal."

    Only at Monster B's.

I love this place! Great beer selection, good location and awesome food! What more can you ask for in a restaurant ?

Whoever books this bar is a scam artist & still owes a friend's band $300. If you're an artist, stay away from this place. The bartender Melissa was super nice.

One of the best bars in Stamford, hands down. The beer selection is great, the food is aight (wings are probably the best), and they have outdoor seating, a pool table, big buck hunter, live music sometimes, etc.

Probably the best part about this place though is the staff/management. Through my office, we organized a party here and the everyone really went our of their way to work with us and get what we wanted for a reasonable cost. These guys will really do anything you need! Even if you're not planning a group event, everyone who works there is just super nice, it just makes you want to go back there!

Love the beer selection, live music & trivia night. It's a bit off the beaten path & has a pool table. Don't fight with crowds for a bud light & the same tired scene, give Monster B's a try

Monster B's is a cool place to grab a nice cold one while watching the game on one of their seven large screen televisions, or listening to one of the local bands. They've got 30 rotating beers on tap, over 150 bottled beers. Unsure of what to get? Tell the waitress what you're craving, and they'll bring you a sample. They've got tasty nachos and sliders. The food portions are big here, so come hungry, or with others to help you eat your meal.

I've never been there past about 7:30 PM, but it's a GREAT place to take kids for dinner because they have a fun kids menu and there's plenty of good food (and beer) for adults too.

I like the pork sandwich, the burgers, and the French dip.  My wife loves the chicken & pear salad, the burgers, and a chicken sandwich.  I really should try the ribs someday because the pulled pork is so good.

Don't be intimidated by the beers, as there are quite a few.  If you can tell them some beers you really like, they'll bring you one that will hit the spot.

It is also a huge plus being able to eat outside during the spring/summer/fall as there aren't a lot of places in the area that offer that amenity.

All in all, it is a very good and reasonable place to grab a few beers or a dinner.  I wouldn't take a first date there or anything, but it's a comfy spot.

I just moved closer to Glenbrook not to long ago and really LOVE THIS PLACE!  Not only because there are 30 beers on tap, and over 180 bottled beers!
The food is amazing!  Not your average pub fare at all.

Lots going on at all times!  Live Music, Pool Tables, and my Favorite,
    THE HALL OF FOAM.

This is a MUST for any BEER LOVER!

We stopped coming here because I noticed the quality of the food had declined.  They seemed to be cutting corners quite a bit.

The bread on my sandwich was stale, the chicken was dry and obviously reheated.  Everyone else at the table complained about their meal too, it was pretty terrible.

They do have a great selection of beers and the appetizers were good.  They also have live music in the summer and outdoor seating.  There are some video games inside and a couple of pool tables.

I would recommend it for drinks and appetizers only but don't bother with dinner.

We heard about Monster B's from a friend and were surprised that a restaurant was even in this location...it's not near any other places.  The crowd is a mix of "older townies" and "young professionals" with classic rock bands that play at night.

The food was pretty decent at a good price you don't see too much anymore.  The spinach artichoke dip was pretty good and the burger was...a burger.  Great beer selection...in the hundreds.  It had a cute fireplace.

Can't really say anything bad about it, but don't have too much great to say.  If you want some good beer or different beer and some apps to have along with it, head on over.

I came here for a happy hour that was being hosted by my boyfriend's school for the holidays.  They had cider on draft which I enjoyed but I have to admit the food wasn't that good at all and the atmosphere wasn't all that great either.  Overall it wasn't even good on a pub/hole in the wall level.

I doubt I'd be persuaded to go for another visit unless there was another event such as this one going on... I have to admit though that the event I went to took place in a screened in patio with heaters so it was a tad bit cold but in the summer this might be a good local place to go  have a beer after work or a drink for happy hour while you relax outside in the nice weather.  That's the only up side though.

Played a gig here before and I must say, great BBQ they have there!

I remember hearing that the chef that works there is from the south and makes his own BBQ sauces. I tried the pulled pork sandwich and was glorious! The sandwich melts in your mouth and the flavor is to die for. I would go back to Stamford just to eat that sandwich!

As far as the bar goes, it's your standard bar. Nothing out of the ordinary. Bartenders/Staff were nice and I would go back there if I'm in the area!

Amazing selection of imported and microbrew beers! The food is standard bar fare, although sweet potato fries were a surprise, and the atmosphere is very bland. Monster B's is located right around the corner from the Glenbrook train station which makes it accessible AND safe!
