Conveniently located across the street from the movie theater.  We wandered in, post-movie, mid-week.  It's a large open feeling space and there were only a few customers scattered about.
We walked back to their bar area to see what wines they offered and saw that they served "Picos Tempranillo".  Recognizing the name, "Picos", we asked the bartender if it was, in fact, "Tres Picos".  He said, "yes".  So we each ordered a serving.
Pours are generous (more like 2 standard servings) - they're first poured into a small carafe, and then from each small carafe, the 'tender poured a small amount into common "french-style" glasses.
Well, we have enjoyed more than one bottle of "Tres Picos" tempranillo, and the wine we were served was not it.  Maybe the wine would taste better alongside some food.  Perhaps, another time.

Seems like a nice place, so we went in after a movie tonight for a glass of wine,  Wine list is short, and kind of non-descript, so we asked the bartender if the tempranillo was  a brand that we had been very happy with - he told us it was, and it was not.  At least the wine was served in a fairly large quantity for a glass price (they decant it into little decanters).  If you want quantity of wine, this place is good - quality and knowledge is lacking.  I would suggest they educate their staff a little better

I've been wanting to go to this restaurant since it opened and now that I have, I don't think I need to return.  Don't get me wrong- the mozzarella that is made in house daily is delicious.  I went with 4 other people and we got the large tasting platter that serves 4-6.  It was a great way to taste all the amazing mozzarella made there!

The rest of the experience was okay.  We went in the door that I thought was the front door on 50th Street.  It turns out that the host stand is on the back side of the restaurant that faces the small cobblestone sidewalk between the shops and the parking garage.  So we walked all the way to the back of the restaurant only to be stopped halfway by a hostess who turned us around and took us to our table.

The portion sizes seemed off.  I shared a pizza with one of my friends and there were 8 good sizes pieces for us to share- 3 each (we probably could have each done with 2 each after trying all the cheese) and 2 to take home.  My sister got the gnocchi and it was really good but on a small plate.  My other two friends got the ravioli- they both got 3 huge ravioli which one friend was satisfied with and the other complained about.  It just seemed like the pizza was a lot more food.  When it came to dessert, most of us got the cobbler of the day and my sister got the tiramisu.  The cobbler came in a dish that I swear was the size of a small book- like 8 inches by 4 inches.  My sister's tiramisu was served in a shooter the size of a Dixie cup.

The food was good and the service was good but nothing I would go back for unless I was specifically craving fresh mozzarella cheese.

There are definitely some unexpected moments where I've thought, hey that is pretty delish. Simple mozzarella with heirloom tomatoes and basil, drizzled with olive oil. How can one go wrong? But then again, the pizza and salad are just good, not great. The desserts and appetizers just okay. I love the vibe there though. It is very spacious, service is good, and is a few grades up of Italian then your typical chain like Bucca.

Another solid location for Parasol. Italian done well, in my humble scandinavian Minnesota girl opinion.

Decided on the meatballs with marinara and bruschetta for apps. Meatballs = gooood but the bruschetta was on the greasy side and left me wanting more meatball. Next time I would take just the fresh mozz.

Next the gnocchi. Ah man, get that. Flavorful and rich. The small was definitely enough and allowed me to fit in dessert! Ask for extra hazelnuts, you'll want them.

Happily decided on the seasonal crisp, strawberry rhubarb. Best crisp I have devoured in quite some time. Served piping hot with creamy vanilla gelato. You won't want to share. I also tried some of my friend's chocolate hazelnut torte with hot fudge, hazelnuts, chocolate gelato and nutella. Crazy rich and decadent but one or two bites would be enough. Split this with 4-6 people and get the crisp!!!

I will be back, hear the pizza is incredible. Vin.

This is a place I want to like, and I've tried twice, but in the end it's not really up to my expectations (at least when spending this kind of money for a dinner out).

Service was slow on this Sunday evening, and I don't think I blame the server for that but rather the management that clearly stretched this fellow beyond reason. He had the whole back porch area as well as the bar area to cover, and I only saw one runner for the entire restaurant -- It wasn't crowded this evening, but that's no excuse for pulling your help out and hoping the paying customers won't mind.

The porch was nice to be on, tucked away as it is next to the arcade behind the shops at 50/France (although a bit of an effort at sun shading at the right moment would have been helpful).

But, in the end, it's about the food. And, in that, we were not all that thrilled.  After being exposed to properly baked wood fire (Lola) or coal (Black Sheep), this underdone-in-the-middle thing was disappointing. Our 10-year-old couldn't really finish hers as she likes a lot more crisp (and she commented that her kid's menu plain cheese pizza was loaded up with olive oil or such that she wasn't expecting - they really need to look at their audience of kids and realize they want plain pizza!).  The grown-up pie I shared with my spouse had some nice char on the outside, but the crust was a bit short IMHO so not as chewy as I like. We tried an off-the-wall combo involving olive tapenade - Actually kind of interesting as a topping, but not something I'll do every day (and got to be a bit much as I approached my last piece).

The caesar salad was completely uninspired - Don't bother.

The high point was their fresh mozzarella rollups - We had a daily special with prosciutto, served with an olive-oil drizzle and a macerated pear/avocado relish that was pretty good. I'd have that for a happy hour snack any day. Still -- I'm spoiled.  Lola or Black Sheep (and their waits...) next time.

Don't trust a book by it's cover; don't trust a cool neighborhood pizza place by the self-accolades displayed on their exposed brick walls.Dining basics 101 came to haunt me on a recent dinner trip with the family to Mozza Mia.
Judge them on their service or their ambiance and they do fine; the former was nice & cheerful; the later the only part I liked - a clean open kitchen, a nice mix of wood, metal, brick.
Judge them by their pizza (Fresca) - it was a few degrees below ordinary. The much touted crust failed to impress. On top of the rather pedestrian crust was a profusion of arugula, barely there pieces of mozzarella and tomato - a fifteen buck healthy but dry and boring extravagance I could have baked at home!

Probably the most disappointing pizza dinner in a rather long time - I won't be returning to Mozza Mia for my next pizza craving in Edina.

Melt in your mouth tortellini! (it's not all about the pizza.) The chocolate cake with ice cream was heavenly. Good service. A bit noisey, and it seemed like we walked in the front door, but had to walk way towards the back to check in.

This is the third time I have dined at Mozza Mia, once again Parasole Dining hits it on the mark.  Our server was quick and joyful even for it being very late at night.  Our food came out fairly fast and hot.  The prices were reasonable.

We ordered the large cheese selection, 3 meats from the slumi selection, a Polpette (meatballs) pizza, and their special pizza for the evening (3 Mushroom and Bacon).  All of us enjoyed our food, especially the Porcini/Shitake/Cremini Mushroom with Bacon specialty pizza.

We all were very full and really had to take our time with the last few bites, the fresh cheese platter was bigger than we were expecting.

For diners of 2 people, I would suggest a small cheese platter and 1 pizza to split.

Attractive industrial decor but very noisy. Servers were very knowledgeable and friendly. Pizza was a mixed bag. Crusts were soggy.  Homemade sausage was great, but the chicken special was so-so. Dinner and a movie promotion looks like a good deal--we'll probably come back for that.

I have been thinking of going here for over a year..and my brother Jason K thought it was pretty good...so I guess tonight was the night.  Kids eat free on Sun nights-and although the 15 month old isn't a huge eater-I figured with a deal like that-and going early on a Sun night-they would be pretty tolerant of unpredictable toddlers.
I was pretty impressed from the get-go...it was fairly empty at five-which was perfect for us-(less people to disturb if things went south) but it was getting pretty crowded when we left. We ordered the Mozza sampler- Iit was fun to try all the different types.  My husband loved the smoked mozzerella-which I hated-but it's just not my thing. It came with a couple pieces of bread-and my husband wanted some more later-and they charged an extra two bucks. Boo. Kinda tacky. Next time I would be happy just ordering some of the ricotta-creamy and so much different from what you can get at the grocery store.
The only pizza I had was part of the kids meal-and I wasn't impressed-but I'm not sure how the "grown up" pizzas tasted..the baby gobbled up the cheese pizza and seemed to love it.   We shared the brick pressed rosemary-lemon chicken-and it was amazing. I hardly ever order chicken when we go out to eat because I always think it will be dry-but this is the best that I've had in years.  Juicy and well-seasoned. Not what I would expect from a pizza place.  Fed us both with a lunch left over.
Kinda pricey-but we haven't been out in a while...The waitress was great-loved the service.

Almost two weeks later and I sitll don't know what to say.  Guess I'll try to break it down....

Decor:  Industrial.  Open kitchen.  Wood.  Metal.  Marble.  Unfortunately, it all adds up to a loud dining expeirence.  And, did I mention ugly?  Personal opinion here.  It's like they missed industrial.  Missed romantic.  Missed upscale.  Even missed eclectic.

Non-Pizza Fare:  Antipasta selection was good.  For being a mozzarella bar, you'd think they would have more selections and individual portions.  We tried neither, but wish I would have.

Pizza:  Lots of interesting selections.  Bonus for me, they do offer a gluten free crust.  Certiainly not the best GF crust I've had though.  Was very 'white'...and tasted so.  I had the fig & prosciutto.  Nice balance of flavors, although a bit dry on the GF crust.  My companion had the margarita pizza + prosciutto.  The crust looked exquisite, although the rest seemed a bit lacking to me... again, the whole thing almost looked dry...almost like it would have tasted bland, and it certainly wan't pretty.  A few wilted basil leaves thrown on top of the whole thing... they could have at least arranged them nicely.

Service:  The service was good.  The waitress was friendly and attentive and kept our drinks filled.

In the end, I might go back, but not for the pizza.  Honestly, it wasn't all that special.  Actually, I wouldn't really go back for the environment either.  Now that I think about it, with so many other places to choose from, I just may not make it back at all!

"Meh, I've had better,' seems to be the consensus when it comes to Mozza Mia and guess what, I have to agree.

We had no problem getting a table on a rainy Friday night at Mozza Mia and quickly ordered our wine and the fried goat cheese appetizer. The goat cheese was just ok, I don't know, I was expecting better for a restaurant that is all about the cheese. It was just a little bland and the accompanying pancetta slices were overcooked as well as few and far between. The dressing on the greens was good but I mean, it's dressing so, who cares.

We ordered a pizza with chicken, broccolini, garlic and their housemade mozzarella. The pizza was good, but for the price not worth it. The crust was the best part, it was chewy and perfectly cooked.

The shining star at Mozza Mia for me has got to be the wine. They pour a glass and a half, so, awesome.

Mozza Mia has an interesting vibe. It's kind of an upscale pizzeria-meets-pub, with a jarring combination of chrome fixtures, marble countertops, and cozy wooden booths.

The staff are friendly enough, though a little stilted. Not a whole lot of easy banter with this bunch.

But there is nothing to complain about when it comes to the food. Our table of four shared the Crispy Goat Cheese, which came with little chunks of roasted pear and pancetta, on top of a mound of arugula. I have to say, it was fine for us since we all knew each other well, but this would have been an awkward appetizer to split among people who are not so comfortable with one another. That having been said, all the flavors and textures, consumed together, were sublime.

We also tried the roasted garlic bread with black olive tapenade, which was pretty good, but nothing to drool over.

I chose the Mediterraneo pizza, which was basically anything deliciously briny that you can think of, piled on a crust: salami, pepperoncini, feta, kalamata olives, artichoke hearts, and capers. They do their pizzas in a hot, wood-fired oven, so you get the characteristic blistery crust. It's the only way to do pizza, in my humble opinion.

As delicious as my pizza was, however, I found myself coveting my mother's brick-pressed rosemary chicken, which is also cooked in the wood-fired oven. It was a half  chicken, deboned except for the drumstick, smothered in rosemary, and baked with baby potatoes and escarole. It came with a lemon half. It looked so delectable; I think I must try that next time.

Went here out of Tejas nostalgia, wouldn't go back. Dirty glasses, tiny portions, goofball waiters. A "large" portion of pasta has a whopping eight lukewarm tortellinis for the low, low price of $2 a pasta wheel. Pizza is also nothing to write home about, although I'm sure they'd say it's "continental," it was a bland circle of dough that is nothing like Italian pizza. Not sure who the target crowd here is, but judging by the amount of diners vs. area store employees just getting drinks after work, no one else likes the food either.

Oh, Edina. I avoid Edina like I avoid certain members of my family. Edina's related to me in that it's in Minnesota and so am I, but that's about where the similarities end. Basically, if I'm in Edina I'm there for a very special reason.

The very special reason, in this case, was my sister's bf who works at Mozza Mia- so when we decided to go out to dinner, this was the spot that immediately came to mind. Plus, the Parasole affiliation was charismatic- they're a freaking great company.

The ambiance of this place is strange. Like, outdoors... inside. With sexy low lights combined with a truly bizarre mix of eighties music it feels like maybe you're dining in someone's back yard. In the burbs. Fair enough!

The food was killer. Fried goat cheese with arugula? Yes, please. Fig and gorgonzola pizza? Uh huh. (Tried it with an egg on top because- honestly- the pictures on the website made it look soooo prettttyyyyyy, but the dish was better sans oeuf.) And the nutella/brownie/hazelnut/cake craycray? EFF YEAH.

Important fact about this place- every night of the week you can get a date-night deal of $30 for an app, meal, and a bottle of wine PLUS movie tickets for the theater across the street. You cannot beat that.

Parasole, high five. I'd totally make the pilgrimage into the heart of darkness for this pizza again.

Very good.  Great food and excellent service.  I met a friend for lunch and we split the fig and prosciutto pizza, which was delicious.   I'll definitely be back with my husband for date night.  It's right across the street from the Landmark theater so it would be perfect for dinner and a movie.  There is patio seating in the back and free parking in the city lot about a half block away.

I came here last week with a girlfriend to enjoy the beautiful weather! We sat on the patio (boy, it that one small patio!) and enjoyed a glass of the house wine and eventually searched the menu for a dish to share. I was instantly intrigued by the pizza because it was made with Surly beer- how unique! We decided on the Fresca (mozzarella, arugula, tomato, and balsamic drizzle) and it was very good. Overall, I had a good time here but felt it was a little overpriced.

I finally made it to this place after I found out they serve burrata (mozzarella and cream - how can you go wrong?) - something I've been wanting to taste for a while.  It was a bit of a tough sell with Andrew, my husband, because we have our go-to pizza places (Punch and Lola's when Andrew is craving meatballs), but as soon as there was something to celebrate and he asked me where to go, I had to say "to the burrata place!", i.e., Mozza Mia.

So unsurprisingly we started with the cheese platter, which includes the sough-after (by me, at least) burrata, as well as home-made mozzarella, ricotta, mozzarella with prosciutto and some other goodies present in typical antipasti.  It was very good and my favorite was... wait for it... the burrata!  It could have been that I totally build it up in my mind, but then again, you can argue that if it met my already high expectations it had to be good.

We also had pizza.  I'm a purist when it comes to pizza and I like to keep things constant, so that I can compare apples to apples, so I ordered my usual - margherita with mushrooms - and Andrew had the one with bacon.  They were both excellent - I loved that the crust was thin and chewy (very similar to Punch) and I loved that it had big slices of fresh mozzarela (better than Punch - never thought I'd say that!).

The only downside (and the reason why it's not a 5-star for me) is that the place is a bit big and loud, but if that's your thing, you'll love it.

We have a little business card book where we keep the business cards of the restaurants we really like and want to come back and Mozza Mia made it there!

We went here for a celebration dinner for a new job. we ordered the cheese sampler, which i have to agree from other posters, you must do. I was a little suprised that the traditional mozzarella was not very fresh and didnt stand out, but the others were very good.

We also ordered the proscuito and gorgonzolla salad split which was definitly delcious!

We each ordered a different pizza, I ordered the Mediterrano which was ok. I don't think i would order it again. My mom ordered the Fig and Proscuito pizza which was good. It was different with the sweetness of the figs. My dad ordered the Polpette which was fantastic.

The atmosphere was nice but confusing. It seemed like they had two different designers, the booths, bar and kitchen were very modern, but the tables were mismatched.

The service wasnt anything outstanding. The servers didnt seem very engaged.

I would eat there again to try some other pizza's or if i am trying to dine in the area, but dont think i would put this at the top of my list for places to frequent.

We have been a few times and have had a consistent experience.

We usually get the cheese sampler.  I think this is a definite must get if you come to this place.  As for the pizza it is good but in comparison to other wood fire places it doesn't stand out.    In saying this I do like coming here.

The service has been good even when the place is hopping.    Not overly attentive and not forgetting you exist.

If you are going to be in Edina for a movie or meeting friends I would say this is a great spot to go.

When I think of a word to describe Mozza Mia, the only word I can think of is "fine."  I guess that's not necessarily bad, but it doesn't make you rush back either.

A group of us went for dinner and started with the mozzarella sampler.  I thought it was all pretty good and it was fun to try all of the different types they had to offer.  That was definitely the highlight.

Each of us ordered a neapolitan pizza for our entree.   I had the margherita and it was fine -- definitely not better than Punch or Pizza Nea.  The crust didn't have that bubbly/papery aspect that I like in a neapolitan pizza.  It was more like a normal traditional crust, just a smaller size.

I also tasted my husband's mediterraneo version, which had spicy salami, feta, olives, pepperoncinis, etc.  It was also fine.

    The cannoli was fine.

    Our service was fine.

    You get the picture.

The pizza here was OK.  A great place to try before or after a movie, but not necessarily something to go out of your way to try.

The atmosphere and service was good, but for pure pizza, Punch and Black Sheep are my favorite spots.

One unique thing here however is their mozzarella sampler, which was quite good and a unique touch for the Twin Cities.

My first time here and it was a great experience all the way around.

The atmosphere was loud, but not too loud; really lively. Nice casual atmosphere and I would love to sit at the chef's table near the kitchen some time. I can't recommend the Mozzarella sampler highly enough. That was worth the trip alone. It's a must have.

I had a couple of Sidecars too, which isn't always good at most places, but it is here. The pizzas are just the right size and tasty. I want to come back and try the Moroccan pizza.

Then for dessert, I had the Lemoncello and the chocolate cake. What a way to round out the meal.

Finally, and a huge factor for me was the customer service from everyone here. They were all very nice and attentive, especially our server, Andrew. He shared his favorites and recommendations were spot on. He had a great attitude and joked around with us, and made the evening fun. Way to go Andrew! (Be sure to ask for his table and you won't be disappointed).

I went here for lunch one afternoon, and it was very pleasant.  We had a salad and pizza.  The service was wonderful, and the menu is simple.

The mozzarella is fresh tasting and simple.  I think it could use a little more salt, but salt is an easy thing to add.  The greens are fresh, and the balsamic is bright.  Everything was good except the pizza bread.  I found it chewy and dry.  It was difficult to cut, so it was extra difficult to eat without any cheese holding it together.  Otherwise, everything was good!

Pizza place and mozzarella "bar" in the new dining hot spot of the Minneapolis suburbs, 50th and France in Edina.

Really enjoyed the rolled mozzarella special (prosciutto) and the meatball appetizers (you get 3). The other items weren't quite as good. The panzanella salad was drowning in a high-vinegar dressing and the pizza was on the dry side (Punch Pizza beats them hands down on this menu item). definitely give the house-made lemon-cello a try if you like that sort of thing. There wine selection was quite limited, inexpensive and headache producing, beware.

Service was decent and waiter was personable. Probably won't become a regular here. Lots of families too and fairly noisy.

I went here with my parents (who are from SE Minnesota) and my boyfriend yesterday evening (Monday August 8th).   We tried the two person Mozz Tasting which was ok. My mom had the special which was stuffed shells.  She did notice that though they were stuffed with sausage that they did not have much sausage at all.  My boyfriend had the shepherds pizza and said he was disappointed with the pizza crust. My dad and I shared the shrimp pizza which was just ok.

    Overall
Pros: Nice decor. Parking garage located nearby.

    Cons:
The adult beverages  and salads are pricey. The food doesn't really wow you. It is just ordinary. Service was slow especially when it came time to get the bill.

Both me and my mother felt we would not return to this establishment.

We came here for dinner a few weeks ago. We made a reservation & was happy we did; it was packed. We waited a bit for a table, so we got a drink at the bar. I got a prosecco for $8 that was the size of a shot glass. I know presecco isn't supposed to be treated like a big glass of wine, but I was a little thrown off by the price for the amount I got. Oh well, live & learn. The bar area gets a bit tight, so I'm glad we didn't have to wait too long!

We started with the Ricotta and Goat Cheese bruschetta. It was good, and the portion was huge. I was so full after the bruschetta I could only eat one piece of the pizza we ordered. We got the Regina & it was pretty good.

Overall, our experience was good. We'd probably come back if we were in the neighborhood.

My parents were in town from Rochester and my wife and I wanted to try this new place on 50th and France for awhile before going to a Target group sponsored Twins game.

The lunch menu has pizzas and panninis and some salads. We all ordered waters and our server was super nice. My dad ordered a baked ravioli dish and my mom got the same thing I got, a chicken pannini with a side salad. My wife got the personal pizza, just sauce and no cheese or olive oil. (Our waitress even came by and asked if it was okay that there is olive oil in the sauce. She was awesome)

The salad came out and I had Caesar on the side. It was super pungent and Caesar like. Fantastic, plus the salad was full of cool different lettuce leaves. The only complaint I had was that there wasn't a lot of chicken on the sandwich. It came with a real nice red pepper pesto sauce. Very nice. Lots of butter on the bread made it really crispy, almost a little too much.

My dad loved his ravioli bake and my wife said the pizza was pretty good. The crust looked light and fluffy.

The atmosphere was fun, there were only about 5 other groups in there, but it was a Sunday at 1. They have a nice bar and stuff there too.

Cool little place, a little expensive, but I would go back with a coupon probably but not for full price again.

The Twins game was fun too, a solid afternoon.

Finally able to try this place out-I've been wanting to go since it opened, but I guess the wait was worth it.

Went to Mozza Mia for lunch with a friend. We got there at like 2pm so the place was pretty dead, but as is most places at 2pm. I love the fact that they have outdoor seating-it was way gorgeous out so it was nice to enjoy the weather and yummy food. Our waiter was very attentive, enthusiastic and really seemed to enjoy his job which nice and probably added to the fact of how much I enjoyed this meal.

Friend and I split the caprese salad and a pepperoni pizza. The caprese salad was really good as it should be-it's called Mozza Mia after all! It was beautifully displayed, served with delicious bread and unlike other Caprese salads I've had-included both red and yellow tomatoes. Our pizza was so good too-not my favorite that I've had in the cities, but that's just comes done to taste preference-still, a really rocking pizza which had a really good flavor and texture to it.

So yes-all in all, wonderful meal+service. I will definitely be coming back for more and wanting to explore more the menu.

    It was good, not great.

Service was really great and you can watch the cooks in the open kitchen if you sit at the rail.

"Mozzarella Bar" is a bit of an overstatement, there are like 3-4 mozzarella offerings on the actual menu that you can order And the mozz just didn't have enough flavor to stand out from any other standard mozz.  They came with grilled bread and a nice chickpea salad.

Pizza was also good but not great, the dough was really chewy.  The pizza with goat cheese had way more of a punch of flavor.  They also have Nordeast Grainbelt on tap which i thought was cool for south minn.

This place had very slow service when I went. It took 60 minutes to get our pizza, although when we did get it, it was good.

I didn't think their mozzarella (or MOH zerella as the staff insisted on pronouncing it all snooty like) was anything to write home about, but it was good.

I thought the drinks were good, but over priced.

Also, even in the winter, the temperature in here was HOT. Like steamy, fan yourself hot.

My wife and I went to Mozza Mia for dinner at 7 pm on a Friday night.  Surprisingly, it was not very busy despite the Edina Art Fair going on outside. We had reservations and were seated right away.

We had the sampler from the Mozzarella bar, which was quite good. You get several different varieties along with some crostini bread, but I have to say that I think it's a little ridiculous to charge $2 for a couple more pieces of crostini bread. We ran out of bread long before the cheeses were gone.  We split a Regina pizza, which is basically a margherita with smoked buffalo mozzarella, and the chicken pesto gnocchi dish. Everything was just so-so... the pizza was ironically lacking in cheese but the pasta wasn't bad.

They almost got a fourth star out of me for the beer selection - if they had a couple more it might have done the trick. They have done a good job with the limited number of taps they have available... a couple Fultons, a couple other regional craft brews and a couple macros. I'm a beer guy, but the wine list seemed respectable enough.

The service and ambience were both just okay - we had to ask for water a few times before it finally made it's way to our table.  Not bad, just nothing worth raving about.  My recommendation is this: if you are in that area and need a last-minute spot for a drink or dinner, this will get the job done.  Just don't go expecting to be overly impressed with anything.

I like fresh mozzarella.  The sampler plate is really good. I'd like to have it again.

The pizza?  Fine.  I was disappointed in the leftovers.  I love pizza for breakfast, but when my kid asked to share, I gave it up.  She didn't like it either.

Just give me the cheese.  The cheese is enough for me to go back.

Came here for a girl's night since Pizzeria Lola is closed Mondays.

Cabrese starter - Not bad. Delicious red tomato. Mozzarella isn't bad either, but it's not outstanding.

Fig and prosciutto - Pretty good and I can see why it's a popular choice; salty and sweet. The dried figs were a tad too chewy and i would have loved to see fresh fig slices.

Pesto pizza - shrimp was just cooked enough, which is a great thing. However, the pesto was really heavy and oily, bringing down the lightness of the shrimp.

Mozza Mia is a good fit for the Edina crowd. Overall the food and service were both good, but I miss the coziness that other places like Pizzeria Lola and Pizza Nea offer.

We hit Mozza Mia after a movie at the Edina Cinema.  Earlier in the evening they were really busy so we ended up going at about 10:30PM and it was winding down.  Keep in mind they close pretty earlier (11PM).

Ordered a pizza and the day's special mozzarella.  The wait was friendly the space is very nice with an open kitchen.  The food was very good.  I'm not a fan of square cut pizza but this one was really solid for Minneapolis.

My favorite part was the mozzarella though.  Really tasty and priced perfectly.  This is a great place to take a date after a movie at the Edina Cinema.

I enjoyed the new place overall. Mozza Mia had a decent selection of tap beer of which I enjoyed the Fulton IPA. The appetizer we got as it was billed as a bruschetta  and was pleasantly surprised  with a toasted bread with some cream cheese like spread with some great jam. I was then also impressed with the wood oven style pizza which had some different options. While I don't eat meat I was impressed by my dinning partners meat dish and the level of spice the peppers on it contained.

I don't however think it has that much competion. While there are other woodfired pizza places I think Mozza Mia's full menu and better selection of beer and full service will give it an edge up to stick around. While it wasn't a wildly new concept or it didn't excite me to driving across the metro for it. I will keep it in mind when in the area and hope the owners parasole keep it fresh.

I went to Mozza Mia for the first time feeling completely starved and totally prepared to eat my arm if I didn't have food in front of me within minutes. Luckily for me (and my arm), this place is johnny-on-the-spot with their service.  It was a Tuesday night, and not insanely busy, but even still, we ordered the Mozzarella Caprese, and it was at our table before I could decide what to order next--and their caprese was perfect.  They're not kidding about the mozzarella being the freshest ever.

I also ordered the Fig and Prosciutto pizza, and then proceeded to eat the entire thing.  Don't get me wrong, I was legitimately full about half-way through, but I have NEVER tasted a pizza like that, and try as I might, I couldn't stop eating it (ok, fine, I didn't really try very hard to stop).  No lie, I didn't want to swallow.  I wanted to keep each bite on my taste buds forever.  I worked to savor every single bite of that ineffably exquisite pie.  The fig and prosciutto is such a unique mixture of tastes and textures, it single-handedly redefines pizza...but I also generally dislike pizza.  It is an absolute must-order.

The only thing I didn't like about Mozza Mia was figuring out who to speak to about getting seated.  I entered through the front door and had to maneuver my way through the restaurant to the back to speak to the host(ess).  It's odd, and it seems like even just a little bit of design and planning forethought could have prevented that situation.

However, once you do get seated, Mozza Mia is a casual and fun environment with an amazing menu that elicits a new appreciation for mozzarella and pizza.

Excellent experience here last night. Quick, attentive service and great food. We sat at the thin bar that borders the prep area, which was interesting. We had rollatini and a margherita pizza. I had their scotch and soda as well, which was tasty. It was all good. I have to disagree with Scott in that I felt it was just as good as Punch. I also like booze over wine, which annoys me about Punch.

I have to say that the mozzerella really is fantastic. They ask to be judged by it in this little promo piece on the table and they receive high grades in that regard. I absolutely love what they did with the layout in there too. Tejas was uninspired and boring. This place was packed on a Sunday night and full of energy.

My wife and I never get full meals, as we always opt for an app and a drink or two and then we're off to the next thing. There is a LONG line of chairs that are considered open seating so for us that's great. We'll always be able to squeeze in there somewhere.

    We'll definitely be going back.

There's a short bald fella who seems to be the floor manager or something who mainly resided in the prep area. If you're reading this buddy, you need to loosen up a bit. It looked like your employees were humoring you and your subtle Chef Ramsay act. You provided good fodder for the meal, but chill out pal. The place was packed and our food was on time so I'm not sure why you had your cranky pant on. Maybe it just looked that way though because I'm a passive aggressive Norwegian.

    Cheers!
