This is a typical Chicago gyro-hot dog-hoagie place, and I love it. They are always friendly and the service has always been quick. They accommodate special requests (seriously, who orders grilled cheese on a pita? Me. And not only do they do it, they do it well). This isn't gourmet, but when you're craving grease and you're in the neighborhood, it's a great option. Prices are reasonable, and there is a small parking lot. Hop next door to Capone's for some craft beer and you're evening is all set.
Review Source:Munchies is great because the menu has a lot to offer, the food is better than average, and delivery only took around a 1/2 hour on a Saturday night. Â Their customer service is above average as well. Â I'd definitely recommend Munchies for when you're craving a solid gyro, BLT, hot dog, etc.
Review Source:Munchies is ok for a quick bite but definately not my first choice. Prices are reasonable for the quality. The chicken gyros are pretty good, I generally get a Julian salad which is typical with average quality sliced meat, my favorite part is the garlic bread if your lucky enough to get a fresh piece that your not trying to tear apart with your teeth. If you want to play it safe stop in for a slice of pizza.
