After visiting Chicago for the first time with two female friends, we met the first unfriendly person during our three-day stay. Unfortunately, it was the older male bartender at Murphy's. When asked about nearby parking, he was downright rude. He said he didn't know anything and acted like we had imposed upon him. I had never met anyone that "didn't know anything". He was inattentive and I felt like asking if it was his first day on the job. Had I not had two female friends with me, we would have left without ordering.
The place was had just a few people in it, since it was 4+ hours before game time, so we left wondering why this individual lacked basic social skills. This bar seemed like such a nice place. This individual turned it into a bad place and left a negative impact on us. Thank goodness the rest of the Chicago people were great.
