Got delivery last night with a $7 off promo code from Seamless. Â We had mussaman curry, Vietnamese noodle grill, and roast duck noodle soup. Â Portions were large and prices were cheap, but the food was meh. Â Not terrible, but not amazing, and not as good as many Thai places in the area. Â Selected mild spicy for the curry, but it was REALLY spicy; the other dishes were bland and almost flavorless. Â Plus dishes were mostly noodle, with very few pieces of meat or vegetable. Â Also the roast duck soup that you can order on Seamless is not in the take out menu (the restaurant actually called me to ask if they could use chicken instead because they don't have duck), so some consistency between online/offline would be good.
Not disgusting, but not great. Â I'm glad I had the coupon or I would've been more upset. Â With so many better options nearby (like Dharma Garden and Sticky Rice), no reason for me to order from Noodles Party again.
Used to live in Old Irving Park and was visiting my friend to watch the Bears game. We got a hankering for NOODLES and each got a different country's version (Filipino, Indonesian, and Thai). All delicious. Appropriately spicy or not, noodles done just right, appetizers good (shumai and potstickers). Fast service, reasonable price. I liked this place when I had it a few years ago and like it now.
Plus the Bears won. Coincidence?
