A friend and I came for after-work cocktails and dinner a few weeks ago. It was a Tuesday night, so the place was pretty deserted. I arrived first and sat alone at a table for about 10 Â minutes; no one came over to see if I wanted a drink while I waited. Once my friend arrived, the waitress/bartender was friendly and attentive. I ordered two of their specialty cocktails (yum), but the bartender had to ask my friend how to make her drink....and it's a fairly standard drink order. I think she is new to mixing drinks, though. Our dinners were delicious--I had a panini and my friend had the buffalo burger.
This is a place I'd like to check out again on a busier night when there's some live music and a crowd, and maybe once the staff has gotten the hang of things. This place has a lot of potential, I think.
My other half and I had dinner here for a date night a couple months ago, and we were both pleasantly surprised at the food, drinks, and atmosphere! He had a cocktail which he really enjoyed and I had a glass of wine that was equally delicious and our meals were fantastic and came to us very quickly. There was a pianist and crooner playing old standards and the ambiance was fun and very date-night esque (candle-lit, low lights). We definitely plan on returning... it was fun!
Review Source:I've been here twice and really enjoyed myself each time. It's located downstairs, giving the feeling of going somewhere during the prohibition!
They have a doorman outside that escorts you downstairs. This space is small, but quaint. I would advise hanging your coat up as you come in, so you aren't knocking drinks off of tables!
The stage looks like a corner in the bayou where you would see a local artist performing. The drinks are strong, wine selection nice. Both are at a premium price, so you may want to get your drink on before you!
