Wife and I had not had a date night in a while and when we finally got one we were in the mood for something a little more low key.  We came here on an early Sunday evening and were pleasantly surprised.  The decor and ambiance, like others have said, is unique and really adds something to the place.  The food was also very good although we only had apps and dessert.  We ordered fries and curry and while we loved the fries we could have passed on the curry.  Not that the curry was not good it was just that the fries in themselves were excellent and we preferred the malt vinegar to the curry.  We also ordered Scotch eggs.  We had never had these before but we were really happy we ordered these as they were delicious.  We both had beers (Stella and Oliva Golden Ale).  To finish off, we had bread pudding which was excellent.  The food was moderately priced and we had a great time.  Hopefully, we'll be able to come back soon.

This is a cool place.  It definitely makes to thing of an Irish/English pub.  The food is pricey, but it's delicious, fresh and inventive.

The best bartenders in the Town:Brookhaven area make this a great place to hang out with friends. The food is mediocre, but people go here to drink, so they get a pass on having standard bar fare. Excellent service with a smile wins points in my book.

The atmosphere is great in this restaurant with little nooks and mock-sidewalks with tables.  The bar is hefty and comfortable.  As for the food, the meatloaf sandwich is AWESOME!  In fact, that's all I've ever ordered at this place.  My boyfriend enjoys the traditional Irish fair and the draft Guinness.

I'd recomend this place to anyone who wants a fun local bar with a cool vibe.

I love this place. I get the short rib quesadillas every time! Fried pickles are also yummy & a bit spicy. Bf had the Bangers & Mash, the crispy onions apparently complete the plate! Im not a huge fan of the particular dish anywhere but he said it blew other pubs out of the water. Someone dropped some serious bones on the decor and ambiance. Very detailed and exceptional backsplash. It was a pub in a not-the-average-dirty-pub kind of way.
I love the little nooks all over the restaurant, but being in the industry I Always sit at the bar. Great beer selection and friendly staff. The only thing out of place is the strange nod to Bravehart...There is a life size statue of what looks like Mel Gibson in a kilt overseeing your meal.

This was a nice place to spend 4 hours, waiting for a flight out of Atlanta, and watching the March Madness
Great bartender staff. Friendly, and effecient
    Above average Guinness on draft.
Really tasty Fish sliders, great tartar sauce and awesome hand cut fries.

    Cool clientelle, clean, Nice vibe.
If I lived in Atlanta I would be a regular here

This is an Irish themed pub. This is a nice place to hang out and meet with friends. The atmosphere is very inviting. The interior was very comfortable. I liked the setup of the place with all the deep rich wood working and inlays. In the center of the pub there is a section that rises up two flights of stairs where patrons can sit. You can overlook the rest of the pub. There is a figure carved out of wood dressed in traditional Irish attire on the top section. At the floor level of the same center section, near the steps leading up, you can take a few steps down to another area and table that appears some what covert for more quiet gatherings. Of course around the center section were booths for patrons to sit. We just hung out at the bar.

The drinks were reasonably priced. They were mixed in front of you and not watered down. We even tried the cheese cake. It was very rich and tasted wonderful. I only know because I managed to get two bites before it disappeared (Risks of being married). That's what I get for sharing, eh?

Thanks for introducing me to this place Katheleen M. And Tom E.

I can forsee that there will be multiple visits here in the near future.

    51/100

Not gonna dock a star for this - but tonight was a not-so-great visit. Mainly because it was too crowded (6ish pm on a Friday) and we had to sort of "squat" at one of the communal tables . . . not ideal for an early dinner kinda thing, just so you know.

Will go again, probably, but not at "prime" time . . .

Wandered in here looking for lunch with a buddy yesterday.   It was okay, but I won't be likely to go back often.

PROs:  The food was pretty good.  Not extraordinary, but good.  The beer selection was good.  Again, not extraordinary, but good.  Our bartender, Mario, was friendly and attentive and knowledgeable.

CONs: The decor is confused and contrived.  The prices are high.

OVERALL: It's okay, but it's just not worth the money.

If I was about 25 years younger and needed a place to top Jimmy Smith's birthday party at the Lasertron, then this place would likely fit the bill quite nicely. Unfortunately, neither was the case during my recent visit, and thus, I'm not able to give this place more than a solid three stars. Although the atmosphere is certainly memorable, it's more reminiscent of an alcohol-infused pirate party than an Irish Pub -  in fact, my initial thought upon entry was that this restaurant's name must have been derived from the individual responsible for decorating it.

Food: Olde Blind Dog is touted as an Irish Pub, but much like the decor, some liberties have been taken on the menu with regard to that theme. Although there are some Irish-influenced dishes, most of the offerings are just standard American bar fare - appetizers include options like chili cheese fries, nachos, and quesadillas, while entrees include hamburgers, salads, and pasta dishes. During my visit, I had the fresh cut potato chips with bleu cheese sauce for an appetizer and the dog house salad with grilled chicken for an entree. Both dishes were perfectly acceptable in terms of flavor and portion, but neither was mesmerizing enough to merit a return visit anytime in the foreseeable future.

Service: The service was quick and efficient, but not overly friendly. I'm not sure how representative it was of the norm though, since I dined around 6PM on a Saturday evening when the place was a virtual ghost town.

Atmosphere: As noted earlier, the atmosphere of this place is like none other in Atlanta. The interior is allegedly influenced by the seven Celtic Nations, complete with a statue of Braveheart in the middle - however, it's actually closer to something you'd expect from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Walt Disney World.

Cost: Appropriately priced for the food quality and overall dining experience. Appetizers are $5-$10, entrees are $10-$15, and desserts are approximately $5.

Other: Olde Blind Dog is located in the middle of the Town Boorkhaven plaza, at the intersection of Brookhaven Ave. and Town Blvd. Free parking is available in the plaza's parking garage, which can be accessed directly to the right of the entrance to the restaurant. An express lunch is offered Monday-Friday from 11AM to 3PM and brunch is available on Sunday from 11AM to 3PM.

My girlfriends and I went here on Sat for a quick bite and some drinks. I can't fail to get out of this place without spending 100.00 first of all. I ordered the sliders and they were so dry I didnt not eat the second one, even after dunking it in the bbq sauce, it was still terrible. My partner ordered the bbq chicken tenders and they were edible. My friend also ordered the sliders with onion straws and recieved chips instead. The service is ok, we had to ask for silverware after the fried pickles were delivered, they were good btw. It gets really hot in this place so after we ate, we left. Probably will not go back.

I ate here last week, and enjoyed it so much, came back with my family a few days later.  The outside is a lot more understated than the inside.  Whoever own this business spent an unbelievable amount of money reproducing the inside of an Irish pub.  I'm sure there are some hipsters who will criticize the Epcot aspect of the simulated pub, but to those I say there is a 6 pack of Pabst and a roller dog, awaiting your wallet connected to a chain, at the Quick Trip.

It's a lot of fun.  They have a great menu with some of the best "pub food" I've ever eaten.  The average entree is around $16.  The fish and chips, cheddar ale dip and french onion soup are all outstanding.  It's also kid friendly with a children's menu.

I first came here for the curried chips.

Doubtless, Americans will find the notion disgusting, but when I was growing up in Ireland, no night at the pub was complete until you'd stopped by the local chipper for a punnet of curried chips.

The first time I tried the curried chips here, the chips themselves were waaaaay over-seasoned for the curry. Too much flavoring. I remarked on this to the manager, who responded with something like "I know, I know." I almost wrote them off at that point. Especially since the Publix across the street sells curry in a packet from the UK that goes perfectly with MacDonalds' chips.

Anyway, I eventually came back. Lo and behold, much better fries, and great curry. I now go there at least once a week for beers and curried chips. And they taste GREAT! (The curried chips. Beer always tastes great!)

BTW, the fish and chips are also really, really good. The fish is flash fried so the batter is nice and crispy, while the fish is not at all greasy. Really good.
Finally, I enjoy the snugs. This place has a few nooks and crannies that'll handle two to six people, allowing for quiet, intimate conversation, even when there's a loud football game going on.

All in all, a great experience, even if the story of the old blind dog is complete nonsense. Dear Lord, what Americans think of the Irish!

Anyway, I quite like this place. I come here a couple of times a week. What more can I say?

So, I enjoyed the atmosphere so much my last visit, that I decided to return with one of my girlfriends.  Again, no food for me, because I am still fasting, but, my girlfriend had the Meatloaf Sandwich. It looked and smelled absolutely divine.
I did however sip a partial Patron margarita over the course of 2.5 hours. And it was yummy.
I looked forward to fasts end. I believe I will head to Olde Blind Dog for the Fish and Chips. I'm a sucker for Vinegar and Fish..........of course I will have to have it following my return visit to Ameer's Mediterranean Grill. I have dreams of his Hummus :) amongst other items.
But, this review is supposed to be for Olde Blind Dog.
    Awesome Music and Fabulous Atmosphere
Crowds a touch young for me, but.....
and all the food looks incredible and smells just as good.
    The Bartenders are Outstanding!

The first time I could remember being in a pub atmosphere (that I can remember) was at Epcot's Rose and Crown Dining Room (<a href="/redir?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdisneyworld.disney.go.com%2Fdining%2Fepcot%2Frose-and-crown-pub-and-dining-room%2F%3FsearchDate%3D2012-12-31%26partySize%3D2&s=7383343c2df9b028c921898fde11fcb969470557235228e42934635b922a976e" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://disneyworld.disn…</a>).  The theming, food, and natives working there, I instantly fell in love.

I had the pleasure to meet some of my friends at the Brookhaven OBD location a few weeks ago- as this was my first OBD experience... This is the newer of the two.  The cool thing about it is there are condos right above the place (choice place to live, uhh?)- they can help the party go into the wee hours!  When walking into the building, all i can think is "holy shit, is this place for real??"  Maybe I don't get out much, but to me, this is THE baddest ass place I have been to in Atlanta, theming wise.  I felt like I was in the streets of Dublin or on the set of "A Christmas Carol".  Cobblestone floors, gas lamps, store front entry(s) (which are actually to private dining areas!), and all of the cozy booths that are placed everywhere in a strategic order.  There is even a second floor, with William Wallace (for those of you out of the know, that's Braveheart!) protecting the OBD proudly.

The menu is the exact same as the other location- which is great- as I haven't had anything I have not liked on the menu.  In fact, I think they cook the corned beef and cabbage here a wee bit better here.  We sat at a table, so the drinks did come out sort of slowly and some things were out (boo).  But I tell you, the server was friendly/in the know, and the damn decor I still can't stop thinking about it!

Anyone that is looking for a great/intimate atmosphere with PLENTY to look at, I highly suggest coming here and see what they are about!  If you don't like the food or the drinks, I guarantee you will like the building!

There is parking scattered throughout the area, and is pretty safe as well- didn't see any issues!

This place is just too expensive.

The food is good and the beer selection is good.  The atmosphere is really neat but their food prices are just too much.  Nice location, nice place but I cannot justify spending 18 bucks on bangers and mash.

If you don't read entire reviews, just read this: Try the Guinness Stout Onion Soup, even if you don't like onion soup. It's that good--it's actually the best onion soup I've ever had. Even better, the general manager, who waited on us, told me how to make it.

Other good things: The hamburger (better than average), Shepherd's pie, fish sandwich, ale and cheddar dip, huge beer and liquor list, service and bartenders. Been there four times. Excellent service each time. Decent prices.

Oh yeah, the decor is crazy cool. Some might think it's gimmicky, but everything is real. You can't help but look around. They even have cobblestone "streets." Some of the tables are funky (good) looking too. All in all, a fun place to eat, and hang out.

Best Irish food I've tried in Atlanta, hand's down...no offense to the late-night fun-place Pub 71 down the street. Might get five stars after I've tried more dishes, which I will, because this place makes me want to come back.

I enjoyed my visit to Olde Blind Dog and will be back.  The bangers and mash is the best I have had in Atlanta - and the lunch portion was just right.  Others in my party said the fish and chips were really good - better than some other places nearby.

The menu had so much on it that I wanted to try to see how OBD would fair on other entrees.  And the beer list was impressive for an Irish Pub (high gravity beers were on the list).

I was impressed that they used to have Banoffi Pie on the dessert list but stopped carrying it because no one liked it.  :(  Perhaps I could special order it.

I really liked the interior decor and the coziness of many of the tables.

I just got back from a farewell lunch for a co-worker.  We were a party of 16.  Making the reservation was super easy and we were seated in a long table in one of the private rooms on the right.  Everyone in our group remarked how nice it was to have a room to ourselves and how fantastic the decor is in the pub.

Our waiter was an absolute gem.  We told him off the bat we would like separate checks and he simply smiled and said, "No problem."  He was quick with beverages, food orders, and refills.  Food came out together and every order was correct - down to the extra sour cream, dressings on the side, and no cheese on the veggie sandwich!  A group of 16 is tricky to get every order right, but Olde Blind Dog had it down pat.  Such amazing service!

Best of all, everyone in the group remarked on how wonderful their food was.  My cottage salad and chili were absolutely delicious (and a perfect lunch portion size).  The menu was varied enough that everyone in our group - the picky eaters and vegetarians - happily found something to eat.

Our waiter was just as quick with the bills - every bill was correct and the included service charge was happily paid by all for the pleasant experience.  When the bills came back, he even brought extra pens so no one had to fight over one pen.  Olde Blind Dog seriously thought of it all.

Other folks in our group complimented the friendly hostess.  :)

As someone who frequently dines out in large groups, I must give Olde Blind Dog a A+ grade on knowing how to treat a large group of folks at lunch.  I would strongly recommend going to Olde Blind Dog for your next large group!

They dropped a cash bomb on the interior design.  How much money did they spend on the crazy Dublin city street facade?? It is very cool on the inside.  the food great quality and we had a blast.

I recommend hitting this spot for dinner, then walking over to the rock solid CinaBistro for a movie.  A trip to the new LA Fitness next door to burn off the Guinness the next day may be needed.

The facade was dazzling and unexpected, not unlike the allure of a Disney attraction experienced for the first time. It's a welcome addition to the fledgling development, and we loved it--hoping it can thrive in the shadow of what must have been a spine-crushing budget. But go, definitely go--the food meets expectations and you'll enjoy the visual banquet.

Bartender (name pronounced "Know-me" -- not sure how that's spelled) was knowledgeable, nice and served us quickly.  We'll come back just for that reason alone as he provided us a wonderful experience as "first-timers" to the venue.

They could have better selection of beers and whiskies but what they did have was good. I liked the Left Hand Milk Stout on nitrogen (thought it was on draught which I've had before and is awesome but was ok with it being bottled -- not quite the same though). We were just in for an adult beverage and didn't consume any edibles so we'll have to come back some other time to do that -- and we will!

Interesting place -- very cool. Will definitely be back.

Good selection of beer and ale.  The food was fair and I had the fish & chips which was prepared well but lacked flavor.  I would go for the drinks and atmosphere as the decor has the Irish Pub theme and space for groups.

I've been here a couple of times and have had good experiences both times.  It is a fun atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and efficient.

The first time I stopped in, it was a rainy Sunday afternoon and a cup of chili was perfect.  It was delicious - lots of meat and beans with a nice kick to it.  The cheese and sour cream added to the flavor.  The second time I visited was on a Saturday night celebrating a friend's upcoming wedding.  We were having a great time and the bartenders were awesome and well as the owner, who came over several times to talk.  There was a nice crowd there and it seems like a good place to go with a group of friends to hang for the evening.

Cool atmosphere, great staff and good food is what Old Blind Dog is about.

What a weird place. The decor reminds me of the Paris casino in Las Vegas giving you the feeling that you are on a sidewalk sitting outside, but your are really inside. It's very loud and the menu offers pub style food. We ordered the pretzel and beer cheese dip recommended by Yelpers. It was not only overpriced at $7.99, but terrible. It was pasty and lacked flavor. Perhaps the ones who recommended this dish had a few drinks first.

For entrees, we had the reuben with clam chowder and fish sandwich fries. Reuben was better than expected and clam chowder was a bit fishy for me. My husband said the fish sandwich was just okay. The fries were great.

We tried it since we live in the neighborhood, but probably will not return. So many other options to choose from.

Couldn't help but think the décor was a little cheesy. The bartender was knowledgeable and had the perfect balance of being attentive and friendly while also letting my friend and I enjoy our conversation (we sat at the bar). The crowd was an odd mix of older traveling business people (so they seemed) and younger fratty guys.

I've been to Olde Blind Dog about three to four times now. I really enjoy the food atmosphere, and the staff. A few of my favorite dishes off the menu are the meatloaf sandwich, the Ale and Cheddar dip, and last but not least the short rib sandwich.

stopped in when traffic was bad and was greeted by a very kind bartender. Their beer selection is above-average, but plenty of Irish pub beers that I often desire. Kilkenny's wins above all, but they had some good craft IPAs as well. Inside it is dark and cozy, with lots of space for reserved seating or dinner parties. Haven't seen this place at night, but expect that it would get pretty crowded. Good for a drink or two, definitely a fan of the chili cheese fries, served up with a big scoop of sour cream.

Upon talking to my neighbor, it seems I missed out on the Cheese Ale Dip.

    I will return.

Popped in pretty late on Saturday night and the place was 50% full of people that looked like they'd been there all night drinking pretty heavily.

Average beer selection and average prices. We didn't eat so I have no idea about their food.

The most interesting part of this place is that the inside looks like a Disney/Vegas interpretation of an Irish city streetscape. Lots of random things to look at. I was expecting some of the scarecrow looking Irish decorations to break out in a song a la Chucky Cheese. Thankfully it never happened!

Town Brookhaven closes down relatively early, so it's nice to see one bar that's open a bit later.

Yay, another Epcot Center version of an Irish Pub. The decor here is over the top: and even includes a life size statue of William Wallace (wasn't he Scottish?). The food is average to above average America pub fare with Irish names. The bar staff is friendly and attentive. Also, this place is too brightly lit. Nobody wants to drink under spot lights!

Olde Blind Dog was pretty loud and pretty crowded on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The scene was pretty young - felt like local residents to me I have to assume they get plenty of folks who can walk to their homes in Town Brookhaven.
Service at the bar was actually very good Mario explained the entire menu to me and was super friendly and gave me a taster.
I like the Olde Blind Dog and I think I'll stop in again when I'm down this way.

We've been here twice now, once for dinner and drinks and once just for drinks. Its a good spot to meet up with friends. I haven't seen too many kids there, but both times it's been later (8:00pm+) so maybe the families are there for early dinners.

I don't know that this will become our regular hang out, but it is pretty fun and the food was  good. The atmosphere is very eclectic - it feels like you were transported to a different time/place with all the wood, the booths in hidden locations, and the building front build into the restaurant. We are somewhat disappointed by their beer selection (they always seem to be out of their specials) though so that's a definite down point of Olde Blind Dog.

When we had dinner there we started with the Scotch Egg. We love scotch eggs and always try them wherever we go. This one was not my favorite - I think the egg was overcooked and the sausage didn't have good flavor (and I didn't like the mustard to dip it in either). We also got the cheddar beer dip to share with the table. The dip was served with pretzel bread and was pretty good (nothing crazy special, it really just tasted like melted cheese). For dinner I got the French Onion Soup. Overall the soup was good - it had baked cheese on top with chunks of bread.

Our friends ordered dessert and I got to try a bite of the Sticky Toffee Pudding. It was amazing - I think that was actually the best part of my meal!

Anyway, this is a solid place and I hope that their food continues to get better. I also hope they plan better and stop telling their customers they have beers when they are actually all out. I would have been better off not knowing about the special draughts than getting excited about multiple ones they did not have.

I went to Old Blinde Dog for the first time with some co-workers.  We had a larger group, so we called ahead and they set aside a table for us, which was nice.

I didn't realize it, but they have their own parking area right next to the bar.  I parked down by CineBistro, which I didn't have to do.  The bar looks like your typical Irish pub (aka Fado) and was pretty casual. I don't recall anyone smoking, which was nice.

Some of my co-workers ordered the fried pickles which were absolutely delicious.  Sometimes fried pickles can be too salty, but these were great.  I had the veggie sandwich for my entree and while it wasn't bad, it wasn't wonderful either.  Probably my fault for ordering a veggie sandwich in an Irish pub though.  Everyone else at my table seemed pleased with their entrees.

We went on a Thursday and it was busy but not too crowded.  I'm not sure how packed it gets on a weekend though. I'd go back to see.

Really cool interior is all. Way to many kids running around a bar/restaurant type atmosphere. It was out of control. Service was great and friendly.

Food..typical Irish. Very heavy and over the top with toppings, sauces and fat laedened. Won't hurry back since there are way too many other better choices without having to be a sitter.

My husband and I went to try it out last night and it was pretty packed. We waited 15 minutes for a table, which wasn't bad. As others have noted, the decor is nice! Definitely like a smaller fado.

Service was good... my only gripe was that I asked for water with lemon and got no lemon. Oh well, I know they were busy. Also, our table was wobbly, but some sugar packets fixed that. We ordered the blue cheese chips, which we eh. Pub71 definitely has way better chips. These lacked in blue cheese and I tasted way too much onion. We also had the cheddar and ale dip with the pretzel bread. That was better than the blue cheese chips... but pretty soupy. I'd order the cheddar and ale dip again, but I wouldn't call it great.

I got a burger and my husband gone the Monte Cristo. Both were pretty good. Maybe next time I'll be a bit more adventurous and try something on the Irish portion of the menu. All in all, a good addition to the neighborhood, but it does seem a bit pricey for somewhat good bar food.
