Cheap drinks and beautiful women, yeah that just about sums it up. Â But i'll provide some detail anyway.
I was in Atlanta on business and wanted to grab a drink and enjoy some nightlife. Since I was staying at the W Hotel anyway, I figured let me try the Whiskey Blue. Â I was glad I did. When I first arrived, it was kinda dead but the bartenders were really nice and attentive. Â They had the basketball games on and I was happy. Soon it started to pick up as more and more people arrived. By 10:30pm the place was packed.
I stayed at the bar the whole time because I had a good spot and was able to converse with different people as they came to order drinks. Â Very friendly people in Atlanta for the most part. The place itself is pretty big so there was lots of room if you wanted to mingle around the bar. Plus there was an outside area but the weather wasn't good so everyone was inside.
Drinks were very cheap so I had plenty!
Only downside was that this place is apparently one of the hot spots around and by midnight it was so overcrowded it became uncomfortable to be at the bar. Couldn't talk with anyone without getting bumped around constantly.
It is a very nice rooftop bar. I didn't feel like I was in Atlanta at all. Â The ambiance had a South Beach type vibe to it. Â The drinks weren't that expensive. The music was pretty good. Mostly pop with a little rap remixed into it. The crowd was very diverse. There was some grandma's "Turning Up" next to our section. It looked like they were having the time of their lives. Â The only thing is that the parking is 20 dollars to valet. I said forget that. I got lucky though. I asked security at Lenox Mall if I could park in their lot. Security had me park behind a hotel. He told me he would be working until 4 am. Â I leave the bar about 2 am to get my car and it was still there. I thanked and tipped the security guard for watching my vehicle for me.
