Our current go-to place for Cantonese. This place has significantly better fried and white rice than its local competition. I really like its BBQ pork while my wife prefers more sauce with it, so, Mama-Say, Mama-Sah, Ma-Ma Coo Sah,* you try it and be the judge. One complaint: parking is tight here, but still better than anything in Chicago.
* I had to throw that in. My almost eight year old son is sitting on my lap and I wanted to get a giggle out of him from reading it. It worked.
This is now my go to spot for authentic Cantonese food. Amazing. Just a 10 minute drive from Jefferson Park. Super hot, homemade mustard. Homemade BBQ sauce for the BBQ pork. Food is fresh and not layered in corn starch and tasteless brown sauces like most local places. Give The Palace a shot, you will not regret it!
