Pros
The hand pressed tortillas are delicious
They serve coke products
The queso is muy bien
They use a tool called "the bob" to mix up the ingredients before they wrap the burrito. Â Genius!
Cons
The food is very bland
The meat is overcooked
The chips are way too salty
After checking yelp and seeing 5 stars we were very excited to try this new place. Â It smelled wonderful, had great decor, and the staff was very friendly but the food was sub par. Â Qdoba is much better.
First time here and I'm a fan. I believe Pancheros opened recently. I like how it's located right across the street from some prime shopping spots, Nordstrom Rack and The Container Store. Â I ordered the steak burrito with hot and corn salsa, black beans, white rice, shredded cheese, and oooo diced jalapenos. While the flavors were very reminiscent of Qdoba, which is not a bad thing, it's the service that really sets this place apart. From the first person taking my order to the last person ringing me up on the register, they were all very professional and polite. Also, I was warmly greeted by whom I presume to the owner/manager. I sat munching away and during my meal the same gentleman stopped by every table to check on us and I even noticed him taking away another table's trays. Oh, forgot to mention the burritos are served on a warmed metal tray which was a nice touch especially since it took me a while to eat. I will definitely be back.
Review Source:The fresh tortillas are the best idea in a growing burrito restaurant market. Mixing the ingredients before rolling is a nice touch as well. No more mouth full of guacamole with one bite. The food was hot and everything was fresh. Chips and queso are awesome too and come with blue corn chips. The price is comparable with Chapotle and Qdoba but I think I prefer Panchero's for the freshness.
Review Source:This place knocks qdoba and chipotle out of the water. All of their tortillas are made fresh and the nice thing is that the workers here speak english. I had a chicken burrito sans rice (too filling) with black beans, cheese, cheese sauce, pico, and sour cream. It was very very good and I like the fact that they mix your ingredients so that every bite is a balanced mix of what you asked for. Good prices as well and fast service. We'll be back!
Review Source:I absolutely love the fresh-pressed tortillas and their hot sauce. Â I have been going to Pancheros since college in Iowa City and finally have a local spot to get my fix on.
Here are the items I usually get:
1. Steak burrito, rice, black beans, corn, pico de gallo, and 2 scoops of hot sauce.
2. Steak salad, black beans, corn, pico de gallo, 3 scoops of hot sauce, and 2 large tortillas on the side.
3. Chips and queso.
