Nice and simple place, good fresh cooked burger and fries, good service, plenty of beers on tap. Glad to have you in the neighborhood!

We showed up to this place looking for a Tuesday taco special, and found a great one!  The special was $5 for 3 tacos and a Pacifico or Corona.  The tacos were delicious, and the service was great.  There is also a special just about every night of the week.  We are looking forward to coming back and trying the breakfast here!

Went here for a burger and brew.Beer selection is AWESOME, except too many choices to choose from lol. I do wish there was a drink menu that listed some, maybe they get different stuff in so I guess that makes sense, but it's hard to take in everything the waitress was listing off since there was quite a bit. The food was really great. The fries are freaking awesome, kinda like cornucopia's with the batter...but these ones are way better. There is a great selection of burgers to choose from too. The only thing I didn't like was that there was an odd taste to the burger meat..I don't know if that is because the meat is all organic or what, plus it was a little dry. I feel so bad saying that because every other part of the burger and the meal was really great.

On another note, their breakfast is GREAT. LOVE that they serve it till 2 pm!! When I went there for breakfast, every bit of the meal was so good even down to the jam they give you for your toast.

It's so close to where I live that I will definitely be back for another one of their million beers they have lol.

I've been to the P&P several times in the past few months and it is currently my go-to breakfast place. I've never had to wait for a table, unlike the glenwood or brails, and the omelettes are pretty good! the meat-lover's omelette is a must for those paleo-inclined.  Service is really good, too

I've also been there for drinks once or twice. I was surprised by the selection of bombers that they had for sale. It was a nice selection, which was unexpected. The only complaint that I had was that we ordered "pub nachos" once, and instead of tortilla chips, there were potato chips. WTF!? plus, th cheese wasnt melted on them or anything. It was pretty awful.  I'd recommend not getting them, unless, of course, you have an aversion to tortilla chips. i also had a burger which was decent-- not the best, but definitely not the worst.

in sum, i give it 3 stars.its not a "Must-go," btu if you are hungry on a sunday morning and don't feel like waiting a 1/2 hour to get seated at the Glenwood, give it a shot.

I really enjoy this place! I have only been for lunch/ early dinner but I thought the food was just great. I love the deli sandwich with a side of fries! The sandwich was fresh with loads of toppings and the fries are a perfect crisp golden brown. Also I think this place makes the best mozarella sticks I have ever had, and i have had a lot! I think it is a fun new twist on the old Jamies Hamburgers.
The only criticism I have is I wish they were a bit faster with their lunch orders. Last time i went in for lunch with my boyfriend we had to take our food to go beause it took so long for it to come out and I couldn't be late going back to work.
If they can speed up the lunch service a bit I will be a regular for sure!

I like their Reuben and Club sandwiches and the home made chips are pretty good, better than the fries. I think its hard to rate a place like this because it does what it intends to do very well, but its not the most "amazing gourmet food ever." In that regard, its like a place you go to sit down, have a burger or traditional American kind of food, and just accept what it is.

HMMM...in a word....mediocre...at best. Nice waitress, uneventful burger, patty tasted straight from the freezer, dry....served open faced...not juicy at all.  The fries were battered and crunchy but no big deal flavor wise, may have been the frozen type.  Breakfast 'til 2pm is nice, my friend had a pancake that was dinky and overcooked, eggs were runny. Interior ok, not the cleanest but much nicer than the exterior. Sorry, going to stick with Giant Burger for the best burgers and Brails for the best breakfast.

The pantry and pub has great food- especially the fries! The breakfasts are OK, but lunches are great. Plus they have a good selection of beers and CIDER!

Love the burgers but this time I tried one of their roast beef sandwiches.  The flavor was awesome, the roast beef (which is local) was so tender.  Great service and friendly people.  This is one of my favorite places to go in Eugene.

My review applies only to breakfast at P & P, since I have never eaten another meal here. In a word, breakfasts at Pantry and Pub are great.  The pancakes are as good as or better than I make at home--and I make great cakes. The Denver omlet is packed with ham bits. The bacon is thick, crispy, and very flavorful. The hash browns and home fries are excellent. Service is friendly. Most of the clientel is local, because it's the type place a visitor probably wouldn't think of trying, unless introduced by a local. If you happen to find yourself in west Eugene in the morning it's one of your best breakfast options.

Tried the House Burger 1/2 pounder, which normally has some bbq sauce on it which I asked for it on the side.   My on going quest is to find the best burger.  The Pantry gets their meat from Oregon Natural Meats rather than SYSCO special.  When asked how I liked it cooked, I knew I was on the right track.  All the basic hamburger condiments, and tons of flavor!  Cooked to perfection and juicy.  The fact that my favorite local micro brew is (Ninkasi Sleigher) is on tap added extra points.  When you consider the friendly staff and quick service time, and they were busy, The Pantry and Pub has a winning combination.  I look forward to checking out some of their specialty burgers in the future.

When a place advertises Taco Tuesdays, and promises 99 cent tacos, I expect two things.  First, that they will have some choice in tacos, aside from take it or leave it.  Second, that they will be serving tacos that normally would retail for something MORE than 99 cents.  Sadly, neither was the case here.

The ground beef taco (your only choice) was . . . insipid.  It was also, in reality, an 89 cent taco.

On the positive side, my wife had a reuben that was better than some we've had in Eugene, and the fries were done perfectly.  Still, I left with the urge to drive to that food cart on W. 11th that proffers 99 cent tacos just to compare.  I resisted, but it was hard.

This is my local, so I'm a bit biased.  But I've had great food here and the beer selection is pretty good, too.  It has decent prices and a pretty big selection of bottled beer.  It's pub grub, so don't expect anything fancy.

Tiffany is a great server.  She is always energetic and helpful.  The woman I'm dating knew her from her other job as an esthetician, and she has positive feelings about her, too.

Evidently they offer a discount to disc golfers using the Westmoreland course nearby, but they always forget to tally the discount on my check.

This restaurant was trying to be Cornucopia and The Bier Stein at the same time. They failed miserably in their attempt.

My burger was one of the worst I have eaten in Eugene. Their claim to local beef is misleading, because that typically indicates around here that it is going to be grass-fed or at least taste decent. It was flavorless even cooked medium-rare. My friend's food looked unappetizing.

The place was unclean too. It looked about as well maintained as our server's facial piercings. Perhaps her lackluster attitude was caused by an infection in one of her dermal anchors. I wonder, too, who urinated all over the bathroom. Maybe they are waiting to find out too, because it smelled like it happened two weeks ago.

For a $10  burger, I can go many other places in Eugene - ones that have nice atmosphere, service and food.

    Jesus, where to start.......

A neighborhood "pub," with a giant yellow sign reading "family friendly?" Hmm..... I really wanted this to be my spot, since it's right around the corner. But the food just isn't that good. The burgers taste frozen, the beer selection is marginal, and the nightly specials are generic.

To the owners: more draft beer, a liquor license?, get rid of the salad bar, add a dart board, and research the term "gastropub." I really want to like your restaurant.

Me and a vegetarian friend went to have a few beers and food on a sunny afternoon.  We sat outside next to a busy road but which was actually pretty nice.  It was .99 cent taco night, so I went with the beef tacos.  They substituted beans for the beef for my friend.  The food and beers were good but I was hoping for a better beer tap selection.  They did have some good seasonal locals but most of the taps were just the normal local beers which I have had many times over.  I guess complaining about too many local brews on tap makes me sound crazy.

The pantry has a warm local atmosphere with good service. the food i have noticed is a hit or miss, however, their seasoned fries are what brings me back every time.

Finally made it back for a go at the burgers that looked so good at our initial visit.  Although they offer a good collection of jazzed up burgers, we kept it simple &  ordered the 1/3 lb burger with cheddar.

Asked for my burger medium rare - our very pleasant waitress looked uncertain & said something along the line of  "I'll try, but we'll see how it comes out."  Well, it came out  well done, but still edible.  Burger was presented very attractively with the usual garnishes, optional mayo and BBQ sauce and a large pile of really good fries - golden & crispy outside, soft inside, hot and fresh.  Worth every carb.

Good - not  great - burger.  They use an OK bun, but it was served quite cold - could have stood a warm up on the grill.  Glad I asked for the BBQ sauce on the side - definite liquid smoke overkill.

All in all, a pleasant little place that could teach Cornucopia a lot about customer service.  With just a bit of food tweaking they could grab another star or two.

Am sure we'll stop in again when we're in the neighborhood.  Heck, just finding a restaurant with nice, attentive waitresses is worth the drive.

    Here are my issues:

    1. Blazer season is over. I have really no reason to come here anymore.
    2. The place was filthy when we stopped by for a burger last week.
    3. The girl I thought looked like Zooey Deschanel doesn't really look like Zooey Deschanel.

    Star deduction time.

Not too bad of a place to eat.  Not uncommon for them to be out of the soup of the day.  Salad bar can be spotty at times, the same with the service.  Good food but nothing that would scream out that one must eat here.  One should try this place at least once.  Parking spotty at times as they can get busy, hence, limited seating at times.

We ordered the Heavenly Burger (an Oregon natural beef patty with herbed cream cheese, avocado and sauteed mushrooms). Unfortunately, it wasn't so divine. While the patty wasn't over-cooked, it certainly wasn't prepared medium rare, as requested. We usually enjoy the lovely juices that ooze from a medium-rare patty, but this burger was unusually runny, creating a giant pool on the plate.

As for the unique toppings, neither of us could detect any hint of avocado anywhere on the burger. The cream cheese, on the other hand,  offered a pleasantly unusual consistency not achieved by regular cheese.

In the future, I'd recommend a chicken burger with a side of house-made chips. The Rose City, in particular, offers a lovely, moist patty and flavorful toppings. The chips, which are reminiscent of Kettles, are crispy, well-seasoned and totally addictive.

Pantry & Pub also offers outdoor seating for the rare sunny Eugene day. However, I'm not so sure if I'd enjoy the view of the Chambers Bi-Mart.

Local beers, local beef, and local sports. Can't really go wrong with that lineup.

They have one full menu page dedicated to all the different ways to have a burger.  A bit much, but hay it is a burger's world these days.  They do a decent pulled pork sandwich as well.  They rotate their handles for beer pretty often so you do not have to drink the same beer week after week.  My wife got an entree there once.  It was acceptable, but clearly not what they do best there though.  Stick to the burgers and brew and everything will be great.

I am pretty much in love with this place. It's really close to my house and the waitresses all pretty much know me by name.

They have Awesome food. I started only going for breakfast and I always got ( and pretty much still get ) the chicken fried steak. Then I found there lunch menu... They have Oregon Natural Meats Brew Burger. I had no idea what this was until I tried it. It's AMAZING. There burgers are so good and they have a very large selection.

Every time I walk in, every waitress gives me a big glass  of water and a straw and knows my order. I love this place and I love the people who work there.

I quite often bring all my friends with me, I've had up to 11 people at one time and they did a great job taking care of us.

Great burgers (with fried egg or crumbled blue cheese, anyone?). Awesome bottle and tap selection. HD sports on tvs. Extremely friendly service. Nice locals atmosphere. Not the most pristine place in town but hits the right notes for the price.

Found out about this place from NightOutEugene and they had a handy text special for a free appetizer with two sodas. A friend and I gave it a try and thought it was OK.

I had the fettuccine and it was bland. Large portion though. My friend had the Reuben and she said it was good. The clam chowder was very good and they had a nicely stocked, small salad bar.

The service was good and the waitress was nice.

    Don't know if we'll be back. I wasn't wowed.

Service is better than comparable places in Eugene. In fact, they often get something going very quickly for my two-year old, so that's a big plus in my book. The food is OK, but you can't screw up a burger or an omelet.

They were on a kick with  Ninkasi-fed beef, and might still be on that. I've had it a few times in other places as well, and while I love recycling beer hops and eating local, that beef just doesn't cut it in my book.

I do like that the place is open late. Eugene rolls up the carpets early and this is one of the only options to sit down and eat sometimes unless you want to go to Sharis.

The pub and pantry has an awesome atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming. My waitress, Terry, was a efficient and helpful.

I went on taco tuesday( .99 tacos ), which is an awesome deal. Their salad bar was well stocked and delicious.

Overall very good. Not Spectacularly mind blowing, but very good.

The Pantry is a great little hide out with awesome (mostly local) beer and great comfort food. I've been there for breakfast and an afternoon app/pint and well, I'm a fan

They have a small but descent salid bar and a special of unlimited soup/salid and bread for 7.95. If thats not enough they have a happy hour!

Food is very meat oriented--lots of burgers, sandwiches, and a small and simple american dinner menu. You can sub a veggie patty or tempeh for a burger but otherwise you will not find much if you aren't in the mood for meat.
That said the food was quite good. If you are looking to splurge on something bad for you but tasty, this is your stop.
Unfortunately the prices are expensive--$10 for a sandwich, but they seem to use quality ingredients which is much appreciated. Local beef is def. a plus.
Server was very nice and attentive.

Hard time deciding between 3 & 4 stars for this place.  I stopped in a couple weekends ago on the way back from the coast, as it was one of the few places open at 9:30pm.  There was some sort of (loud) team sport gathering in the front but the table we were given was in the back and quiet.

I ordered one of the many bottled beers and a burger, the lady had a pasta dish (I forget what, exactly) and they arrived promptly.  The burger was quite delicious, with a thick patty of tasty meat goodness and a few southwestern trimmings thrown in.  Just like it should be - focus on the meat, some garnish to top it off.   They asked me how I wanted it cooked and got it spot-on.   Fries were crisp, warm, and decadent...

I think the Cornucopia (Agate Alley? Turtles?) comparison is apt (menu and ambiance-wise), although I agree that the service is much better at The Pantry.  To be fair they'd have a tough time being worse...

My complaint would be that with the combination of a burger, pasta special, and two beers we were at $40+ after tip.  I am not sure if the prices are quite in line with the menu and type of place they seem to be trying to be.  I mean, the food was good and all, but...

I'm a fan... I found my substitute for Cornucopia.

They have a good beer selection (although they do not have a beer list or taps) in bottles-- good prices too (I got a Beer de Mars from New Belgium for 5.95 for a 22oz).  The food was very tasty (I had the Sea Burger-- a deep fried halibut burger with delicious dill tartar sauce) with the house-made chips (freshly fried, not overly greasy, and really freaking good).  My significant other had the spicy burger and it was delicious as well.

They use local meat (not sure about the seafood) which was fed spent Ninkasi grain.

Service was excellent.  Greeted as we came in, seated promptly and was very courteous.  They asked my significant other how she'd like her burger cooked (unlike Cornucopias overcooked extra-char-burgers) and it came out exactly as she liked it.

Food came out very quick (10 min at most).

    I'm a fan!

    Huzzah!
