I think this place is a lil better than Panera Bread. They have a lot of good sandwich, soup and salad options. The strawberry with poppy seed dressing and chicken I had was refreshingly delicious! The steak panini was delish. Their chocolate chip cookie was good and they have a fresh brewed sweet tea!!! Yum!!!
Review Source:I ate the Southwest Chicken Salad. Â It had torilla chips -- different and good. Â Probably not enough grilled chicken for the amount of lettuce so I needed more than one container of dressing. Â I was not as excited as my friend about her delicious cookie.
Added visit to my frequent eater club with Paradise.
Long story short: it's just a tad classier Panera with healthier options... with a wild bonus cookie that appears.
Items bought:
-Albacore Tuna Sandwich
-Clam Chowder
-Bonus: Free Chocolate Chip Cookie
-Sandwich: For once in my life, I bought an item that actually looked like the description picture. Â You know how all those fast-food chains have these delicious looking burgers, and then you receive a flat, soggy, not so appealing burger? Â Not this time, the blown up picture of the sandwich on the wall actually looked identical to my sandwich, much to my surprise. Â Maybe this was a fluke, but it was nice to see that my sandwich looked appealing.
On the taste spectrum, if you had "full flavor" on one side, and "healthier option" on another, it would be fairly close to the middle, but favoring the healthier option by just a little. Â
But overall, the sandwich was pretty good. Â
-Soup: Â The Clam Chowder is pretty good I must say, and it was healthy serving, a "cup" seemed like a small bowl. Â It was nice and creamy, very smooth. Â Not watery, nor overly buttery/oily. Â
The only thing I'd say is that I wish the potato bits were a bit larger.
-Bonus Cookie: Â It was free, so I'd say I'm a little biased here. Â It comes included with your "meal". Â It was actually a pretty decent cookie, nice and soft, and full of decent sized chocolate chips. Â
Pros:
-Good food and what seems like all from scratch
-healthier option than a Panera in my opinion (but only if you want it to be), and,
-Nice ambience, has a "home" like feel. Â
-Nice staff
-When you're done, you can get up & just leave, you don't have to "put your dishes away", so to speak.
Cons: Â Slightly more expensive than Panera (I think I spent ~$12-14 on myself?)
-Though they're nice, some staff don't know the difference between whole wheat bread & multi-grain bread. Â I asked what bread the Albacore Tuna had, she told me whole wheat. Â It was a white bread, multi-grain.
The manager is Mitch. He is almost always waiting for your order with a smile and tries to accomodate any changes. The help behind the counter is busy, but makes it look like you are the only one they are helping. Other restaurants could take a lesson from their great customer service.
