The Peanut

Havnt been to The Peanut in a long time because of my work, decided to bring an out of town friend in to the downtown location this afternoon for wings.  Unfortunately they dropped the ball on everything possible.  The bartender was still drunk from last night, couldnt remember anything we asked him.  The wings took so long to come out I wasnt even hungry anymore.  Which was a good thing because they had sat too long and were dry as a bone.  I really hope this was a one time deal, guys, I would hate to have to write off an old KC tradition.

Quality for a dive(ish) bar.  Didn't try the food but strong beer selection with 3 New Belgium options.  Friendly bartender and locals.  Many TVs but no high-def for MNF.  The wings looked and smelled amazing (too bad the vegan can't partake, can I use the sauce on some tofu???)  Will for sure go back for happy hour or a beer on the walk home.

The wings at the Peanut are by far the best in Kansas City.  If you want cheap beer and amazing wings then head to the Peanut.  If you are looking for an attentive wait staff and high class surroundings then go elsewhere.  

It would be nice if there were more/better quality televisions to watch games on.
