I really should not have visited this place - I mean that it a nice way - it is not my style and it feels like a chain/corporate restaurant...think Houston's with seafood...
Tuesday Night Downtown: not really a crowd and those who were present were not cute - staff was friendly enough the bartender was super peppy and nice to me....
All that being said - it tries hard - the menu is okay - the oysters were super fresh and tasty... yea I had oysters in Kansas City, got a problem with that?
The best item was a smokey "broken" wasabi vinaigrette served with the oysters was so AMAZING that I used it on my side of cold (I Â don't know why they told me the plate was hot when serving me) cauliflower and on my duck flat bread (also served cold but watch my fingers lol)
So I mean it was ok - OK truly all worth it for the vinagrette which I am going to work on at home : )
And I am also gonna work on that flat bread instead of your cliche sliced green apple I think I will used shaved raw asparagus YUM (and also in season versus apple eh?)
Peace OUT
PS. I really loathe pleather bar stools
ooh PPS. Make sure you do your best to never have to visit Kansas City EVER.
We made a reservation and were sat at a booth in the bar. This would've been fine if a Bon Jovi concert wasn't starting in an hour. Maybe those who make reservations should get to sit in the dining room? Just a thought. The fish and chips were soggy, and at $25, we probably should've sent them back . The grilled salmon was pretty good.
