This place could have gotten a lot better score if it wasn't for:
1. We were charged for drinks we never ordered
2. We could have gotten the guy who sets up the mechanical bull to actually do that instead of sit in the back with his feet up
This was an early stop for us so we didn't have to pay cover, it was just getting crowded when we ended up leaving. Â The concept looked fun and I enjoy country music, so it could be fun. Â Good thing we weren't wasted though because when we got our tabs were were charged for extra drinks (I would hate to think that happens a lot since most people probably aren't sober enough to realize it) and then we checked our statements and there are two charges pending.........hmm. Â That just sucks. Â Secondly, we wanted to try out the mechanical bull because I think that would be hilarious, but when we asked the guy if we could do it, he said ok, but then sat in the back for an hour with his feet up, so we just ended up leaving. Â It could have been a lot better but it just majorly disappointed.
There's a time and a place for everything, and when the time is "wasted out of your mind at a bachelor party," the place more often than not will be the P&L Live Block. Now, this is absolutely not my scene, but of all of the places we went, I enjoyed PBR the most.
Let's be clear, I enjoy PBR in a "Carnival of Horrors" type way. If you want to drink cheap beer in a packed room, listening to REALLY loud country music while one friend rides a mechanical bull while the other makes out with a drunk chick, this is the place to be! It's the antithesis of everything I ever want to do, but knowing that it was a bachelor party, and i was going all-in, I let it all just flow over me.
Basically, if you're the absolute opposite person as me, you might enjoy this place un-ironically. I, however, had an absolute blast of a night being Bizarro Matt. Thanks PRB, I'll see you in another 5 years.
