Pretty fun for a ladies night out. Â Cover charges ($10!) starts at 7pm, so either get there early before the band starts at 8pm or get a buy 1, get 1 coupon from the visit kc website. Â It's pretty good time with live music you can request from the musicians, who are all talented and you always have fun watching the crowd dance on stage. Â There is typically a really intoxicated guy in a cowboy hat or a gal in way too high heel just having a ball dancing to YMCA or competing for a free drink in a dance-off.
The drinks are pricey, but when you consider you are a getting a live musical act, it's not too bad. Â The huge bucket drinks (~$30) can be dangerous though because they are delicious, go down easily and when shared among a group of friends, really add to the fun environment. Â
There is always at least one birthday or bachelorette party taking place as well. Â It's fun for a change in the ladies' night routine. Â It does get really crowded fairly early in the evening so if you want a table, plan on getting there by 10.
If its basketball season, don't go here unless your are a Kansas fan. Went here and sat at the bar to watch the Kansas game. Â Had a great bar tender. Very friendly! After that game, Kansas State was playing. Â The tv screen above the stage was raised so the dueling pianos could start. Â The band was wearing Kansas shirts and the bar didn't show the next game. Â MANY sports fans were in the establishment and most left to find other venues to partake of food, beverages and basketball. Will never go back!
