It has become more and more popular. That is great for socializing and people watching.
I am still under the same opinion when it comes to the customer service at the bar. They are under staffed or have the wrong staff. I don't think they have a defined server chart. It feels like its whomever gets to the table, waits on them.
I still think it is beautiful. The private rooms for smaller parties on ten or so is a smart move for business meetings during the week or when you want to have a confidential conversation. They even have a pool table in the back.
The drinks are ok. It is a regular bar. No mixology going on here. he basics. That can be good too. I just wish they had more people working that had a better clue as to what is going on.
I really would like to give this place higher reviews because it has so much potential. The first time I came it was a pretty nice crowd. My fiend and I ordered a drink each and it took so long for them to bring them, I had to go to the bar and get it myself.
When we finished the drinks, no one came to check on us or give us our tab so we had to get up again to get our ticket and pay.
I went back a second time when the crowd wasn't as large and tried chicken nachos. The nachos were basic with pre-cooked and pre-cut chicken cubes. My friend had wings and fries and they were pretty generic as well. The fries were pretty good though.
The atmosphere is nice and has a lot of good memorabilia on the walls. I hear that they host different events there from time to time, so I'll probably give them another shot before I give up on them.
Since we're not from Kansas City, we didn't know what kind of neighborhood we were headed to when we came to the 9th Inning Sports Bar. Â Suffice it to say it was bit more urban than my small-town wife was accustomed to. Â After parking and taking a few steps toward the restaurant, she wanted to know about Plan B. Â There was no Plan B, though, so I convinced her to forge ahead and broaden her cultural horizons. Â I'm glad we did.
As it turns out, this sports bar is quite a bit like lots of other sports bars, except that on a night where there were a couple of great football games on, the crowd was noticeably absent. Â Not much more than us and a group of folks from Omaha that kept drinking until they didn't care much where they were. Â I could see this place being great for a Sunday football group.
The service was fantastic, food was very good, cold beer, lots of TV's, several private rooms and unfortunately some loitering locals hanging around outside, which made me worry a bit about my car. Â All the people at the restaurant were super-friendly, though, and we had a good time. Â The best dish for our table was the fried wings, which had a unique, peppery breading. Â These might be destination wings if you're a local. Â One minor complaint: Â They could use a few more craft beers.
Please get over to the 9th Inning and give these people some business. Â They deserve it.
