Strip club prices but no show. $5 beers and $8 shots? Really? Bars are a dime a dozen in KC and you can get a good buzz for half the price that it costs to have a beer at this lackluster bar. R&B is housed in an old and failed gay bar. I still smell the jockstrap that some old leather daddy left in the bathroom. This is not a dive bar nor is it eclectic - $10 bucks gets you 5 songs in their jukebox. Really? You can have a better time and save lots of money by going to the P&L (and I am no fan of the P&L) and get a nice bag of  Bolivian Marching Powder for what they charge you at R&B. You will be robbed. I warned you. You will be robbed. DO NOT GO.  Also - its like 5 guys to 1 girl.
Review Source:Man oh man, Â do I love this bar!
Now, it's not my typical go-to, but I've never just had an OK time here. Rhythm & Booze is has historically always been a blast. It's probably my ideal spot in town to kick back, drink some cheap beer (or Purple Drank!) and play bar games.
When you first walk in, you're suddenly smack in the main "bar" area, where you'll always find a friendly barkeep and usually see a few working class dudes catching a game. I typically start up my tab then immediately bee-line it for the far back room, or Bar Game Heaven.
Two pool tables. Two dart boards. Pinball. Skee-ball. This room is stacked for a good time! Also, there are oodles of board games, if you want to go that route. The dart boards are electronic, which can sometimes be a problem, but these machines are in excellent repair, and they always have plenty of darts. It certainly makes for an easier game, when my PBR-riddled mind is free from the burden of math. What's more, this room is never all that crowded. Sure, I've been here on nights where other groups are sharing the room, but everybody plays well with others.
People tell me they have food, but I wouldn't know. I come here for epic days of Bar Olympics with friends. And it's always well worth the trip.
