I...don't see what the excitement is about at Flying Saucer. It's a decent place. It's HUGE and is probably one of the better options to check out at PnL. But keep in mind, that means PnL prices, PnL parking and PnL people. However, they do have an extensive beer/overall drink selection but as far as the service and the food? Nothing too great in that realm. I do believe it's a PnL "thing" to have scantily-clad waitstaff so I will leave that alone, but I do want to point out that it is unnecessary and doesn't really help my appetite. Which I guess is a good thing because the items I've had on their menu doesn't really leave my appetite satisfied. The beer pretzels are bland, the burgers have been soggy and the chicken sandwich I've had was dry. The appetizers are sparse considering the amount paid...all that served by a disinterested server? Doesn't really give me much to work with. As a trivia-lover, we decided to give that a go. It was alright; there are more organized and challenging quizzes in and around the KC area but the first place prized (that we did end up winning) was very generous ($50) so I guess we will have to go back at some point.
Ok, I'll cut them some slack: there are far worse out there! We'll be back so hopefully I can edit this current opinion.
Out here on business and on the 2nd trip joined the UFO club. Figure if I'm going to drink in KC might as well do it here. So many beers to choose from, figure that it will take me 2 years to get a plate on the wall but it will be fun doing it. Â Waitresses are lovely and they know their beer, what more could a guy ask for.
