We decided to come to this place after a late night of karaoke.  The website touts their quality ingredients (Caputo flour, San Marzano tomatoes), and the website says they were open until 3AM.  Because of this, we passed up several other late night eateries to try Pizza Bar.

What they don't tell you is that two of their entrances are indirect, either through other restaurant, or through a larger common area, and those entrances close at 2 (and have security enforcing that).  But they also have doors that open directly onto the street, so no big deal, right?  The problem is that their management arbitrarily decides to make those doors "exit only" at 11:00.  So while they tell you they are open until 3, that's a lie (I use that word because they have to know the situation, and if they were honest, they would either allow direct entry after 2, or just change their advertised hours to say they close at 2).  The other thing that really irked me is that the guy who turned me away at the door directed me to the other entrances, which meant a further walk in the cold and rain, which he had to know was going to be in vain (and it was, making me that much more upset when I returned).

After an extended discussion (I was tired, angry, and frustrated), I resolved the situation with another employee by having him bring some food to the door so we could take it to go (thanks Luke).  I wasn't excited about having to eat it outside in the cold while other were still reveling inside, but it was a decent resolution under the circumstances, and I appreciated his effort.  The pizza itself was reasonably good - not artisan quality, but if you were expecting "bar food", you might be pleasantly surprised.  Otherwise, no big deal one way or the other, but don't count on them as the late night option they claim to be.

The operative word here is "bar". Food is bar food, of below average quality and overpriced. Came by for Sunday lunch, was not impressed.

Nothing to write home about. If you're at PnL and have the munchies, the pizza is cheap and fast to get to. Whoever the "MC" is, is super obnoxious. He makes redundant and awkward comments while interrupting the music and conversation that you're having at your table. The pizza is... edible. It's been half-raw the few times I've had it. Lifting a slice off your plate will cause any and all fillings to slide right off. If that doesn't get you wanting more, I don't know what will!
