Sol Cantina

Ended up here after a somewhat disappointing happy hour experience at P&L. The outdoor patio with the lights was quite pretty and relaxing for a not too crowded and warm Friday evening.  We easily got seating and had a quesadilla and dip that were just okay.  The crowd here was quite diverse and, for the most part, friendly and fun.  DJ seemed kind of full of himself, however, and brushed my friend off when she went up to request a song.  The music fluctuated from top 40s sort of stuff to dubstep/house and then to older hip hop jams... I wasn't too much of a fan (I thought the transitions were kind of whack) but my friend from Germany said that the DJ could have easily fit in at a club in Berlin.  Depends on your taste I suppose. Anyway,  I plan to come back on a Sat to see what the music and scene's like on a busier day, hopefully update then!

Great atmosphere and setting with the outdoor area.  Try the Mahi tacos, fish tacos and cowboy quesadillas.
Go there for Happy Hour on weekdays and a great lineup of dj's and local bands on weekends.
The staff is always super nice and I never have to wait for a drink even when they are busy...

This place has an awesome happy hour, great outdoor seating and giant Jenga!  That's kinda where it ends - they $1 tacos are good for the money, but I wouldn't spend much more for their regular menu.  I've had a few different items, but none of them really hit the spot.  

Although the food's not great, Sol is an awesome place for happy hour or drinks with a group.  The outdoor seating is great and the games are fun, we'll definitely continue to go to Sol.
