Ambiance- 5 star. Love it.
Staff: Maybe because it was glow night, but the cheap hooker outfits (including thigh highs) really throw off the place. Going into a classier club and seeing that staff. Makes you wonder if they swapped club staff for the night. Drinks are too pricey. Cheaper than places in St. Louis so overall impressed.
Kasey had asked why I wanted to leave so soon. I flat out said, "it's a little lame for my taste."
Work on your staff's clothing and I will try it again.
This place SUCKS! Â My boyfriend and I sat at the bar where there were 5 scantily clad bartenders. They were so busy talking-story that nobody helped us. We sat at the bar, right in front of one of the bartenders who was training a new dude bartender and she glanced up at us, ignored us, and then continued to 'train' the new guy. You could tell he was super embarassed that we weren't being served. Finally, 10 min later when I was ready to walk out and when she was done with her training, she addressed us with absolutely no apologies. How the heck this place gets away with charging so much for alcohol with such poor service is beyond me.
Second time, boyfriend talks me into going there again. I ordered a pineapple mojito. The bartender made the worst drink I've ever been served -- it had so much syrup that I could not drink it. I asked to have it re-done, but kept my eye on the bartender to ensure she didn't spit in my drink. She remade the drink without attitude, but actually test-tasted my drink by drinking from the straw.
This place is really pretty inside, but I think the owner only cares about attractive employees. Service is definitely not a priority.
Today was my first and last day @ pearl. I went for Dolled out event and it was horrible. They advertised the event as starting @ 430; They kept us waiting until 6. The lady who was giving out the tickets for the activities lied to me about the number of activites each person can do. Â I saw a manager give a bar tender a massage. Also employees were cutting in line to partake in the (mainly the) massage. The staff appear to want to serve only certain people. Oh, well! another $30+ check just walked out the door and is never gonna come back.
Review Source:I would wander to Pearl every now and then if I wanted something a little classier that Mai Tai. Unfortunately, most of the time is wasn't classier. Guys were stuck up and obnoxious the girls were the goofy types that you see at the club. Come on, you know the ones I'm talking about. Music was ok, drinks weren't bad, usually there was a fair amount of sitting and standing room. I will say this, I had a couple VIP events here... they do the VIP stuff right.
Review Source:Went to Pearl Ultra Lounge on Thursday (runs every last Thursday of the month).
Parking was awful (which I am not sure is Pearls fault, but important to mention). It took me 30 minutes to find a spot.
Upon arriving at 6. all the gift bags (much werent many) were already handed out. Â Everyone was in line to sign up for the All Dolled Up and with only one person taking names for all the stations..it was taking a long time. Once they started calling names, you couldn't hear or understand which names they were calling because the music was to loud.
The service was AWFUL, which is one of the main reasons for the low review. Our waitress was not only rude, but didn't care if she took our order or not.  We got snapped at when asking about our food.  We asked the young man that brought someones order if he could check on the rest of the tables food...He said Äsk your waitress, I just deliver food." We had to keep moving our empty glasses and plates to the bar because no one would bus them for us.
When we left at 9:00 we stepped over the kids on the floor playing their gameboy's. Â However, it was probably better then them watching the girls try and pole dance on the stage. Â Speaking of the "pole dancers" (I am using that term lightly), the establishment would have been better to have them waitressing then attempting to spin only once around the pole and getting stuck.
Sorry..but I am going to pass on this event in the future...I assume that an ultra lounge is classy and this was not.
Review for ALL DOLLED UP event every last Thursdays (6pm-9pm):
PARKING: I arrived at 6:30ish pm and had to park past the pineapple room as parking was severely crowded.
CHECKING IN: I was unhappy with the check in as the wait time for hair, nails, eyebrows, and massage was over an hour.
However the  Fit For a Goddess show was very interesting. I actually went to meet a meetup group but felt very disconnected. so i decided to watch the pole dancing show on the stage. I've been here many times before and my friend was the emcee for the night so i actually ended up hanging out with her.
I'll be back next month and I'm going early
Went here for happy hour today. Celebrated a friends birthday with a party of 20+... Service was horrible. All of us are industry people and it was unbelievable. We always had to flag her down. She didn't even ask if we wanted something to drink. She just said "let me know if you want to order". She even gave us attitude about ordering from another waitress because she wasn't around. Took forever for her to come back and take our order and even later when it was time to bring our checks. And it wasn't even busy.
To Pearl management: you guys could be making a lot more money if the service was better. We all went somewhere else to continue drinking/eating.
I didn't come to Hawaii for the nightlife, but of course we still had a few late nights partying. Â One night we ended up at the Pearl Ultra Lounge. Â Coming from NYC, it felt more like a fancy sports bar that was a bit run down. Â The place is big, but separated into three different sections which didn't seem to take advantage of the space. Â Still, the pours were strong and we had a good time drinking and dancing til we shut the place down. Â
It's in an out of the way location, but the bouncer helped us out and called for some cabs to come pick us up and bring us back to Waikiki at the end of the night.
I went here on a Saturday night for a going away party.
We made reservations for 25 people. I'm not sure how much it was to reserve the tables or what the stipulations of making reservations are.
We also were able to set up prepaid drink tickets and pre-ordered food.
Great food and great drinks! A little pricey, but remember that on a Saturday night it's more like a club so drinks are around "club" prices.
It's a very nice venue for get togethers, even for larger parties.
I came here for a Make a Wish Foundation event. It was super fun! The appetizers they offered were good and so were the drinks. I was impressed the cocktail waitresses were so attentive with the amount of people around. I would like to come back to see what it's like on a regular night. Great, easy location and good drinks. I would recommend!
Review Source:Came here with a few friend on a friday night and had a blast.
small dress code but nothing extravagant.
I guess you could say im not a big fan of paying $8 for a small cup of jack n coke..... idk its just not my thing lol so i did what any cheap person would do... i gave up on alcohol and drank water all night while dancing the night away.
live music was great... dance floor was kind of small but i guess it was "enough" for the number of ppl actually dancing, not to mention i was the only sober one on the dance floor with the drunkest looking dance moves...... yup... Talent...
anyways the food was ok, service was slow but thats kind of expected due to the amount of people there. id actually give this place more stars but i felt it was missing something and i cant quite figure out what it is....
either way you will enjoy yourself here.. unless you are a boring person... then just stay home =)
Came here for the Nextworking event.
It was difficult to find parking closer to the club. I parked nearby Macy's and walked my way back.
Checked ID at the front. Got a name tag. Wandered around the venue.
Saw that a lot of people had food. We were hungry too and debated on getting something to eat. The friends I was with got a drink.
There was a table open so we sat there for a bit thinking of what we should do next and while those that have a drink finish it.
Most of the time we walked around. We went to people we knew.
The interior of the place is nice. A bit small. A few bar areas. There's also a stage.
In their bathroom there's a bathroom attendant.
Though I didn't buy anything, their items were quite pricey; even the prices during happy hour.
A mother actually brought her child in O_O
By the time we left, got a certificate to come back for Ladies Night.
Food is delicious. Â Served on little tapas plates. Â My favorites are the yummie carpacio served with capers and little toasts...the poke, if fresh, is the best I have ever had...fried calamari - yumm! Â And, if they have any fresh pasta dish on special for the evening...that is an EXTREME MUST!! Â Each creation is a gastronomical treat. Â And, even tho the prices have gone up over time, you are still getting a bargain at their happy hour prices on food as well as drinks!
Located in the easy to find parking of Ala Moana Center. Â This makes it the perfect place to meet friends after work or...make new ones!
Enjoy  =)
Very awesome place to hang out late night!!!! Closes at 4am on weekends....no cover before 10pm!!! Table service available...
Good food....good drinks...happy hour pricing is offered....some bartenders are so-so, but there are a few that makes drinks awesome!!!!
Music and Staff are awesome!!!! Â Check their website for events...
Lots of parking as it is located at Ala Moana Shopping Center!
Usually short line to get in, no more than a 5 minute wait...it can get crowded, but empties out around 2:30am...but still has good partiers after 2:30am.....haha!
By Far PEARL is my hot spot to kick it with my girls! I love there pupu's and there signature Pearl cocktail! Â Most of the workers are awesome. I believe I only had one bad experience waiting for a while but I never had to wait any other time.
Hands down the best place for me and my girls to go! Check it out!
For: happy hour
Against: service
Other essentials: Dress code enforced at random, unknown times.
More:
First of all, the service is always awful here. You will never get drinks, refills or be able to put in orders in a timely manner. However, the waitresses wear backless shirts which my roomies love.
There is free parking at Ala Mo's which is nice to not have to worry about. Pearl is closed Sundays and Mondays which seems to be the only days I get the urge to go. Frustrating. Also, they choose when to have a dress code (I still haven't figured out when) so you can get turned away during peak times but show up in sweats for happy hour or late night and it's g. At times there is live music which is typically a solo acoustic act. Love.
I only go for happy hour and used to love it. The tables are too small for appetizer dates. I like the beef carpaccio, crab cakes and stuffed mushrooms. The saffron risotto cakes are also good. I'm not impressed with the poke as it's bland and comes with three random, unrelated sauces - one of them being Sriracha. Happy hour apps are $7, cocktails $6 and beers $4, for the most part. This is up a $1 from about a year ago. The apps are getting smaller and less and less impressive in terms of taste. The cocktails are probably the same but my tastes are changing to be less sweet so their cocktail menu looks less attractive every time. Sad to say, but it's time for a replacement happy hour joint.
Review is for night clubbing on a Saturday night.
COVER CHARGE $10.00 even at 1 AM, for ladies. Boo.
PARKING = Free, which is a plus, at Ala Moana Shopping Center. Just be sure to enter the third floor level from the Ala Moana Hotel side as we made the mistake of trying to enter from Nijia Market-side and ended up having to drive down a one-way ramp after liberal amounts of cursing at every chained-up entrance. There was another lost soul driving around on the empty parking lot level looking for a way out so we weren't the only ones. Note to Ala Moana management = chain up the ramp, like all the other entrances that you are NOT supposed to enter!!
DRESS CODE - according to the reviews I've read here, its supposed to be ultra chic and dressy, so we were a bit intimidated - but once we got in it was a whole 'nother story: women in shorts (two of them), women in jeans, women in slippers. Don't know about the men, they were all hanging out in the shadows too afraid to approach the inebriated women.
DANCE FLOOR = TINY. Like, smaller than my living room. Â Drunk women dancing on the tables with each other, grinding their hips and making provocative hand motions near nether-regions. Mostly women dancing with women. Â
DRINKS = HOLD ONTO THEM. Some mofo drank my new drink that I left on our table near the dance floor. I look over to see my full glass now almost-empty. I look over again and see another person (woman) pick up my wine glass, bring it to her lips, wrinkle her nose and set it down - seriously WTF? - my poor wine glass, now devoid of drink, was skirted away by a very sleepy looking bouncer who was struggling to stay awake. What a waste of $10 (the wine was $7 but I tipped the waitress with the change)
THE PEOPLE = I know younger reviewers have complained this was Cougar-ville but being a Cougar-in-training myself, enjoyed the mixed crowd of younger, older, and really older folk. Military (a few), Asians (a lot).
RETURN FACTOR = Nope. I don't like bad music on tiny dance floors and buying drinks for complete strangers who don't even dress up.
This review is based on our Happy Hour experience (before the Journey concert). Â I have been here numerous times in the past but I haven't actually come during a time that was laid back and chill. Â I believe the Happy Hour prices have gone up from $5 to $7 for the food because while it is still a good deal, it's not a great deal.
I really enjoyed the burger, the poke and the beef carpaccio so much so that we ordered two of each of these. Â The consistency is a problem though, as the evening wore on and the crowd picked up we noticed the plating got less articulate and cool. Â The streaks of sauce for the poke turned from something fun and creative to just zigzag blurts on the plate.
I wish the prices hadn't gone up 40% but what can you do. Â Oh, I know... post on Yelp! Â I always feel if you're paying 40% more perhaps you should get something more... consistency? Â Quality increase? Â Who knows but I'm left feeling a little... bummed?
As far as pretentious upper social ladder clubs go, this place is right on up there...happy camper you will be if that is your thing.
Not so much my thing...but it works out to get on with the pretending every now and then. And when a friend tells you that we have a table with bottle service, you kind of throw your apprehensions off the top tier of the Ala Moana Shopping Center Parking Structure and go for it!
I was admittedly under-dressed. I guess rockin my skinny jeans and hottie-heels still wasnt enough when compared to the skimpy dressed beautiful people that frequent the place.
Oh well!
The crowd definitely seems much more mature than other like establishments. The business man crew was in full effect and reppin thier baller status hard! I guess that works for those of us that prefer to spend the evening being politely approached by clean-cut, mature and more sofisticated potential dance partners.
Dont get me wrong, there is the young and 20-something crowd there as well. Those folks are still doing their 20-something year old thing...dirty dancing and grinding up on the dance floor. And I can say that it is much more enjoyable to watch the whippersnapper crowd get their dance on.
Have you ever seen a mid-lifer do the Dougie? It's almost comical!
I am not really poking fun...because I did enjoy myself the few times that I've been to Pearl. I am not one for this kind of thing, but I do like to get my dance on...and I was able to go get that here. Wish they played a little less Chris Brown, but I was able to get my booty shake on. HAHA! While most folks were doing the 2 step, or staring at the go-go dancers with dope bodies...I was able to get a little time to play on the dancefloor.
Great happy hour. I like it more as a pau hana spot rather than a night club. The space is nice-- spacious with 3 separate bars, nice lighting and various places to sit. The happy hour menu is good-- go for the poke (nice presentation and very fresh fish), and the sliders (Kobe beef). I think both are around $7. Sometimes you will luck out and get to hear some live music.
As a club, I think it's kind of stale. I used to go a lot on the weekends, so maybe it just got old. I just feel like it's a weird demographic, the music is super mainstream, and it simply feels kind of cheesy, to be honest. Sometimes there is a long line to get in, they charge cover, strict on dress code, and some of the staff aren't very friendly. I would only go late at night if there was a special event.
I've only been here once and it was for a friend's bday party. We had bottle service in a small private room area so I really enjoyed the layout. It was pretty cool that music videos played throughout the lounge and every once in a while slideshows of my friend and her friend who she was hosting the party with was shown throughout.
Major negatives is the crowd for me because I'm was a little on the younger side.. And also the music. I guess because I'm younger I don't really know the older songs they played. The other thing is that there was no mixes or anything. Songs were played as are. Even I could do that -__-
I did like the decor though. Seemed classy..classier than some other clubs and lounges here that's for sure.
31 Yelps Challenge: #17/31
Experience is between a 2 star & 4 star depending on the night & event. Â Girls night out can be super fun or super frustrating depending on who is organizing it & the chicks who attend. Â On a club night depends on who has table service. Â One night there was a super drunk dude who barfed right on the dance floor by the tables! Â WTH are you new??! Â He was waaay over 21 should know his limits & how to keep it together.
#22/31 Yelp Review Challenge
Recently came back to this place. I've been on a mission to try new places but decided to go back to a place I knew I loved. The drinks, food, and live music were still as good as I remembered. However the crowd has definitely died down. From past experiences, the happy hour here usually always brought in a decent sized crowd... never too loud or quiet. This time around, it was very quiet.
After a couple drinks and our usual food choices, the live music stopped and the manager (or at least I think he was  the manager) decided to play DJ. That absolutely ruined our experience! We asked for the check and ran out of there!
I can't give this place a bad review because of his choice of music or the way he would stop a song 30 seconds into it, then leave the place in silence for minutes while he picked another bad choice.
I'm still going to give this place a chance.... but I'm not too sure what type of an experience the next visit will bring me.
We had come here for drinks and dancing after a bridal shower. It was completely dead, other than 3 other groups: 1 group of 3 girls sitting at a table and 1 group of 3 guys at a table near the dance floor, oh and some guy on his laptop sitting alone on a table near the bar. Â
Not only are the drinks over-priced but our server was terrible. Â My friend had asked what the drink specials were for the night, and the server rolled her eyes and said, "there are no specials after happy hour". Â She didn't smile at all, didn't check up on us after our first round of drinks and completely ignored us when we tried to wave her down.
Over-priced bar trying to be a Vegas ultra-lounge? I'm not sure, but it's not a place that I would ever want to visit ever again.
Happy Hour Review:
I came here for a friends birthday, and having been here many times before I was REALLY looking forward to eating the food here! Unfortunately I was soooo disappointed! The stuffed mushrooms didn't have much flavor. The crab cakes seemed to be flavorless as well, on top of shrinking in size. The beef carapaccio (or however you spell it) does taste good, but the portion is quite small. Even the kobe burgers didn't have as much flavor as before! I don't know if I came on a bad night or what?? And did I mention the price during happy hour went up from $5 to $7 per dish? :(
Overall I still like the ambience inside Pearl and the service was great. I will be coming back here, but not with such high food expectations anymore...
Club Review:
Clubbing here is fun though, but definitely for the older crowd! Not for the people who just turned 21. I'd give Pearl Ultra Lounge a 4 stars for clubbing!
Last night I put together a small networking get-together of folks in my industry. Â I had called a couple weeks ahead to reserve a few tables. Â The staff both on the phone and in person were incredibly friendly and accomodating. Â
Chad, the manager, came over and introduced himself to us and made sure we felt welcome and cared for.
The happy hour food menu heavily favored seafood (which I don't eat), but my colleagues enjoyed the seafood and I got some non-from-the-sea options. Â We didn't have to wait long for the food. The happy hour prices were INCREDIBLY reasonable!
The servers were excellent and we were never without drinks. Â
We'd definitely go to Pearl again for our group, though we might sit in a different area a little further from the music (one man band during happy hour) as it was a little hard to hear each other over the sound.
We were there early (5:30-8) so I'm not sure what it's like "after dark" but it was perfect for the needs of our group.
Trying to find a place during happy hour can be difficult around 5 PM as places get packed really quickly. However, after trying to go to a couple of places like duck butt and shokudo we finally ended up at Pearl for their happy hour. Good thing was it was not busy when we got there. We had a table right away (our party had 6 people).
The waitress was really attentive to us as our drinks were bought to us in a timely manner. We also didn't feel rushed so that was cool. I didn't realize that happy hour lasted until 8 PM thats so crazy because other places usually end right before dinner time like at 6 or 6:30.
I totally forgot what we ordered LOL but I remember none of the food were that bad and it was decently priced. I would definitely come back here again because it is located in  a good area where parking is plentiful and a chill atmosphere.
Let's just say, if you want to go out dancing, don't bother going until after 11p.m. Â Happy Hour seems to be popular, but noticed that the same drinks during happy hour are way more sweet with way less alcohol. Â The first drink we ordered/drank after 11p.m. was 4x's stronger (and, too strong at that). Â Consistency would be nice! Â
We decided to try the stuffed mushrooms during happy hour. Â While the menu said it was stuffed with crab, it tasted more like tuna for some reason (yuck)! Â I noticed a lot of people left uneaten food on their tables when they left, so maybe the kitchen was having a bad night? Â
After 11p.m. Pearl really gets going with descent music and happy folks dancing the night away.
Ive been here before for some events but this is the first time that ive been here when it was supposed to be a "club night".
Went in around 8 ish. Â We expected it to be a little busier since it was a Friday night but it was actually fairly empty. Â We headed to the back where some friends were already there. Â The back can get a little crowded because the cocktail tables are really close to the bar. Â Its not ideal for any of the cocktail servers because we were all banging each other since it was so close.
Anyway, we were there just to catch up with friends visiting from the mainland so we werent there for the "service". Â
We made most of our order at the bar. Â But when the server came around, we ordered from her too. Â Spread the wealth. Â It was a good time.
The drinks were reasonably priced. Â They werent trying to gouge us and there were specials on Bud Light Platinum (drink of choice for the night since it was cheap).
The club never filled up at all. Â Later in the night, there were gogo dancers, but the club was pretty slow. Even the bartenders said its normally busy. Â I wonder if Tsukijis club night stole all their customers.
But anyway, the whole purpose was for the gang to get together and it was achieved. Â
Free parking, decent priced drinks and food, no cover charge (If you have the ID CARD, its NO cover). Â
I'll be back only in invited, but wouldnt go there as a "regular".
Like any other club, there's a line, but it's a legitimate line with plenty of people crawling from bar to bar looking for a good buzz. Â I'm over the club scene, but every now and then it's important to show your friends some love, suck it up and party like a rock star. Â Am I slowly giving up my age yet?
If you got the yellow fever, this is the place to come. Â I thought the ratio of female to male were pretty good. Â The drinks were nice and strong and priced at affordable. Â I haven't been here any other time to eat, but it was a fun night. Â I remember the bartenders being attractive and most importantly attentive. Â
I'm not too sure on the price of entry, because I used my iDcard from islediscount and got in for free!
Trying to be Hollywood in a nutshell. Â Overpriced, hassle to get in, bartenders with dull personalities, nobodies who wanna be somebodies for a night.
This is also where people like to enjoy some nose candy and meet others who do the same because that is really popular here...*I'm going to the restroom (wink wink)
I don't know what Pearl is during the day because all I know is Pearl at night.
Me and the homies always cut the line and walk in VIP style. So I can't review what it's like to wait outside (if there is a wait?).
My friends have told me about Pearl in it's heyday. They say that it's only like that when there are special events. The crowd at pearl is 25+ yrs. Seriously. It's for the grown and sexy.
If you are a younger guy between 21-25, hint hint, this is for the GROWN and sexy.
You'll catch a lot of locals, people who are visiting from the other islands (because they say you come to Oahu to party), people who are stationed here, and Japanese tourists.
I personally love the music. DJs such as SOUNDSEX plays the tunes I like when I wanna get buck: Techno, House, Dubstep. It's funny since you know the crowd doesn't listen to it regularly.
I guess Pearl offers a VIP card, if you go out as much as I do, get one. It's part of my Friday/ Saturday night rotation. You'll catch me out there.
Pearl UltraRetirementHome is like a retirement home(except they serve booze). Â You get treated badly and they barely want to serve you but you are paying so they'll cope with your existence. Â They can't wait for you to die(leave) so they can have someone a bit younger than you so they can torture them too until they die off (or until they run out of money)
Pearl is inconveniently outside of Waikiki, caters to the 50+ crowd. Â It's not a hip bar and it deserves no stars. Â Management (Daniel Punch) is a balding old guy, much like its clientel. Â And Kasey is a poor college student bartender wannabe.
This bar is set for failure to close. Â Mark my words. The only reason why it's still running is probably because they are squeezeing insurance money off of the retired residents from the first world war.
Pearl UltraRetirementHome is wheelchair accessible. (Wheelchair cost extra $10 on top of the normal cover charge)
Pearl pearl pearl, you've let yourself go girl!
You've put on some extra poundage (gone are the days of $5 pau hana pupu).
Your makeup is smeared (the decor has definitely been through the 4am party wash one to many times)
You just don't make time to get all pretty and dolled up like you used to (uh... please reconsider your waitstaff attire. This is the year 2012, crop tops haven't been cool since the nineties)
and you're starting to sag in all the wrong places (you literally FALL into the seats by the window, I had to prop myself up to be at eating level with the table)
I definitely used to like this place for their happy hour. Previously, the $5 beef carpaccio served on a nice salad with shaved Parmesan and toast points would bring me drooling. Alas, the prices have gone up on the happy hour and most importantly, the quality of the food has gone downhill.
The carpaccio is more expensive and you get 4 teensy weensy slices. The bread was not toasty.
The calamari was over-breaded, over-fried, and served on top of marinara sauce. Not only was the taste lacking, but the plating had serious design flaws. With marinara covering the bottom of the plate, it's impossible to get adequate sauce coverage on unwieldy pieces of calamari and the bottom buggahs got soggy. We didn't finish the dish.
And... the main reason for coming to Pearl - The dranks! Well, let's just say that our crop top bartender with the bolt-ons mixed the worst mojitos we've had. Overly sweet and there was no muddle on the mint. It was packed with whole non-muddled mint leaves. This didn't even taste like a mojito.
Sorry Pearl, I moved on. We can still be friends. I just need more quality and consistency in a relationship. Oh yeah, and I'm officially allergic to crop tops.
Pearl Ultra Lounge
Stepping into this place, you get this bizarre feeling your being watched... By who you ask?! Well MILFs! Felt like I stepped in to Cougar Town! These aged women are fun to party with! No really, they dance funny but lol... they get all up in your personal space. HAHA! Sorry really.
Went there a few times, not often though when I do I always have a great time. Â On two separate occasions, friends threw their birthday parties there and it was fun. I think there are three full bars one next to the dance floor, one near the VIP section, and the other on the other end. Went on a Saturday night and it was crazy busy!
Warning: Dress code is strictly enforced! Had to lend a friend my Ferragamo's, bad idea... It ended our friendship! No I kid!
Couldn't believe I hadn't been here before! Â
Loved the happy hour drink and pupu specials until 9 PM. Â Drinks were $6 and pupus were $7. Â That's a steal on this island, especially in a swanky place like Pearl. Â
There were lots of little cozy nooks to hang out, and a large bar. Â The service was pretty good until it got busy...then things slowed down. Â But hey, it was hard for me to move around, let alone a server. Â
Now I know where to go when I want to dress up and hang out with the girls. Â I'm very tempted to try the "all dolled up" events they have occasionally for the ladies...free manicures and waxing? Â They won't be able to keep me out!
Hopefully next time I'll figure out how to park close by - I get all kinds of confused when I'm in the Ala Moana parking lot. Â Apparently they have valet too, not that you'll need it once all the stores start closing for the night. Â Â
Compared to the other places I've been to on the island, thought this was pretty good and worth going back!
Pearl is located in a shopping mall, so no pretty beach view at this place.
If you are slightly over 21, there is plenty of table top dancing, drop it like it's hot thong showings, military boys trying to score, etc.
If you are slightly over 30 however, this will give you an evening of people watching extravaganza. Did I mention, this is a hot mess central after 1 am? Freaking hilarious. True story: My two travel partners and I are sitting at the bar, sipping some cocktails and watching the drama unfold. A boy comes up to strike up a convo, we very politely laugh it his joke and tell him that we are simply here to spend time together and people watch...he stumbles away. Not even 20 minutes later he comes back, approaches another one of us with the same line...seriously? LOL. We drank, we danced to some 80s and went back to the resort.
P.S. Staff and bartenders are chill and friendly.
