I've rarely seen people in this place. I'm perplexed how they get rid of the eleventy billion shelves of baked goods inside. The couple times that I've been in the service was pretty surly and the product overpriced and okay.
And what's up with the empty parking lot?! So odd.
On my list of places in my neighborhood where I wish they would build a Trader Joe's. #1 is the Dialysis Center they just opened on Kimball above Diversey. Sorry Diabetics.
This Pierre's Bakery has been at this location for at least
20 years..
And.. for the record.. they have some fancy looking cakes
and cake slices and they have cases filled with muffins
and crescents and some other pastry type stuff.
They also have some pretty nice/good cookies that they sell by the pound..
I bought like 9 cookies today for less than $3.00!
I am proud to be a low maintenance woman!
Okay.. so this one lady picked up a cake today while I was there
and the total price for said cake was pretty high so I think that
depending what type of cake you order be prepared to mortgage your house
to pay your bill..
And.. as of January 7, 2013 Pierre's is leaving the Logan Square
location and moving to 1956 W Chicago Ave..(Chicago and Damen)
So do not go to Logan Square for your Tres Leches no more!
So.. I was pretty happy with my 9 cookies and I dont like Tres Leches
so I guess all is good.
Pierre's..you have had a good run in Logan Square..
May you have great success as well in your new location..
Thats a Wrap..
