I finally made it here! Phew! What a great little gem. We came last night to listen to some live music, the bands werent that great, but the atmosphere makes up for it. . My first drink was an Old Fashion and his was a traditional whiskey sour with egg whites. Both were delicious! We had another round and called it a night. I was told they have live jazz here on Wednesday so I will definitely check that out.
Review Source:The Whistler recently reminded me I'm not a young man anymore. The cocktails we tried were good and adventurous and worth the $8 price tag, but the place was so crazy packed that it was hard to enjoy anything, like sipping a martini in a mosh pit. Of course, only a fool tries to sip a martini in a mosh pit, but similarly the business trying to serve one is unlikely to make the martini enthusiast happy. I'd go again, just for the drinks, but probably limit myself to happy hour and early evening visits. Like I said, I'm too old for the late night scene there. Definitely a post-college but not that much post vibe.
