I, too, am disappointed to see all of the low reviews.  If you are thinking you are going to get teh same experience as Cafe Iberico, I understand the disappointment.  However, this place is a GREAT option for a cheap meal/date, good drinks (sangria and wine) and tasty food.  The meu is quite simple compared to Cafe Iberico downstairs but it is still tasty.  

The environment is much more laid back and less fancy.  It is a great space for large groups or parents with children.  It is also easier to socialize then in teh loud space downstairs.

Don't judge based on Cafe Iberico.  Enjoy Pinxtos for what it itself is: good food at extremely reasonable prices.

Rude at the door. We were meeting people there. They already had a table and left a message for us at the door. The girl at the door said we had to wait for a table and said she didn't have a message for us. I called our friends who told us where we were. We had to give the staff the slip do we could got to the table with our friends.  They were upstairs in apparently the inferior cafe.
I don't know if the food was any good. I have no idea what I ate. The ambiance is middle school cafeteria. Very loud, no conversation, server had "like it or lump it mentality" of a lunch lady.  I could not taste or enjoy anything.

This is the upstairs of Cafe Iberico. Here is a suggestion: if your wife is about 3/4's into her pregnancy, starting to get mad at things that don't make sense to you (i.e. getting the wrong type of ice cream or telling her she will get her figure back after the baby is born when she just asked you if you thought she would (there is no right answer to this question)), then take her to this place. The food is amazing and you get to share everything, which they seem to love. This will get her mind off of things for a good hour and you will look like a hero. At least until you get home to find the dog peed in the house and somehow its your fault.
