The Plaza Restaurant & Lounge

Blah is what I have to say about our dinner there. We had dinner at 630pm and the restaurant was almost completely empty. My boyfriend got the ribeye which was much better than my sirloin florentine...but still boring. Though the plates were hot, our food wasn't. It was kind of strange. I think I enjoyed the grilled veggies on the entrees better than the main parts. However, dessert was a banana chocolate cake thing and pretty yummy.

First off, I've only eaten at The Plaza Restaurant during breakfast hours, taking full advantage of their Breakfast Buffet. It's located inside The Hyatt.

It might very well be my favorite place to eat breakfast solely based on their Sausage Gravy. It's a very beautiful and delicate (if Sausage Gravy may be called such) combination of herbs and gravy. Poured over a freshly baked buttery biscuit is a warm and inviting way to start out breakfast.

Pile your usual favorites on the plate, breakfast meats, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit and banana nut bread and you have a really great and hearty meal.

For a buffet (a hotel buffet) the quality is superb, but don't think you won't pay for it. Water and coffee is included in the buffet price, but not juice or milk. But let me say again, the Sausage Gravy is worth the price.
