The Main Bar

By far my favorite bar in Columbus. Main Bar is the definition of a whole in the wall, but they offer a kind staff and strong drinks that aren't too expensive at all. I spent New Years there and it was like celebrating with family. This is a great place to relax after work or spend a Saturday night with friends.

Solid dive bar with warm and friendly atmosphere.  Friendly, outgoing patrons and staff.  Cheap beers and shots abound, and there are a few quality beers on tap too.  Funny atmosphere with quite a few sloshed patrons.  Definitely worth checking out if you're downtown and are looking for cheap drinks.

Main Bar is my favorite local NFL viewing spot.  Great friendly atmosphere, interesting draft beer options, good beer prices, and NFL Ticket on decent-sized flat screens.  This isn't a fancy spot, so don't come looking for beers of the world, martinis made with rare ingredients, or a fine wine list.  Just real people watching football and giving each other a good-spirited hard time.
