Double Happiness

I've been here a bunch of times since my last review and Double Happiness is a 5 star-erer now. Forget about the heating issues. Those are gone. And they have such great synergy with Freshstreet that this set up is hard to beat. The owner Yalan is super cool and real easy to talk with. And the booths on the second floor is a huge upgrade when it comes to seating. Awesome place with great drinks, food and music.

They did a pop up and did it well when it came to the chefs, organizationally it was a little hard to get the food because everybody just stood by the kitchen blocking others from getting in. They  soon figured it out and started having people delivering through the front doors to the rest of us. Great food. Stay away from the vinegar drink. Hipster vibe. Cool diverse place.

This hipstery, Asian-themed bar in the brewery district has decent drinks, and bar food in the form of Freshstreet Yakitori, but otherwise the service absolutely stinks. All the bartenders seem to suffer from ADD. If you guys want to make it in the Brewery District, you've got to step it up. Invest in restaurant buzzer devices to let people know when their food is ready, instead of running around blindly trying to figure out who ordered what, and for the love the bar gods, please get drink orders right the first time, and when someone needs to close their tab, don't get "distracted" multiple times in the three feet from the bar to the register. I want to come back to your establishment, but won't til you clean up your act.
