I eat here more often than I should. Â But really if I want wings and don't want to leave German Village where do I turn? Â
For a long time I hated Roosters wings. Â It was sort of a trial and error process, but now have a standard order that's pretty good, but still can't compete with great wing. Â Hot Garlic - all drumsticks. Â Everything else I've tried has been bad. But stick with this and you'll satisfy your wings craving. Â
But the place is never packed, pretty quick and friendly enough. Â I prefer carryout and it's a not option to have.
I feel the need to go back and update my old review as I now live in German Village, and visit Rooster's a lot more frequently than I used to. The service is always great, all of the waitresses are friendly (yeah, I know) and the food is good and reasonably priced. Certainly doesn't hurt that it's a block away from my house. Definitely my go-to spot if I'm hankering for some greasy bar food. The pizzas are surprisingly good for a chicken joint. Highly recommended!
Review Source:This place reminds me of Hooters without the girls in orange spandex. Â The walls are lined with light-colored wood, there are TVs everywhere, and they specialize in wings. Â If you like Hooters, then you'll like Roosters. Â If you don't like Hooters...well, you're a bit of a snob.
The wings are delicious. Â Really big, meaty wings with tons of sauce and tons of breading, just the way I like them. Â The fries are tasty too. Â The service was kinda crappy, but I don't really expect great service from wing joints. Â The beer list isn't anything to write home about, but, again, wing place. Â All in all, this is a good place to hang out with friends during a game and eat some really good wings.
