Claddagh Irish Pub

I like this place.  The decor is fairly bright and authentic, however, I like my traditional Irish pub to be a bit darker and cozier.  The Irish beer is well taken care of and the traditional Irish food is delicious.  Unfortunately, I was there on a slow weekday, and the band playing was loud and not so traditional.  This is a great Irish pub for Columbus, but I like my Irish pubs a little less American.

We've been here several times, the food is consistently good.  The waitstaff is friendly and attentive, the beer selection is great, and their happy hour specials are wonderful.  Monday night they have two for the price of one Fish N' Chips which also includes the Shrimp and chips.  We love their appetizers but when we go on Monday's we order the Shrimp N' Chips first to share as our appetizer, and then the Fish N' Chips second as our dinner.

Oh, ask for the vinegar based slaw, SO MUCH BETTER than the mayo based (blah) slaw.

Met a buddy here for dinner on a Monday evening. Since there wasn't a Blue Jackets game that night, the place was pretty dead. The printed beer list was a few months out of date, according to the waitress, so she had to go through the list twice since I got there before my friend did. The first two beers I asked for they were out of. It was happy hour so pints were only $3. I ordered the fish and chips and got a huge piece of fish that was very tasty. It was also seafood night so if you ordered the fish and chips you got another fish and chips or a shrimp dish for free, so I got shrimp to go and had it for lunch the next day. Some of the tables were not cleaned when I got there and one of them was broken. The service was OK, nothing spectacular, especially considering how slow they were. They had music on, right on the border of being too loud, but the song selection was good. My buddy and I kept commenting that they were tunes we have on our own playlists. However, it was obvious that they were using a phone plugged into a headphone jack, as we kept hearing Facebook notifications interrupting the music.
