Tavern Olde Towne

I was living in OTE when the tavern opened, and I was so glad to have a place to go sit on a patio and drink great beer. In the first few months following its opening, between a few friends and myself, we tried everything on the menu. My favorite is the red masher grilled cheese. Mashed potatoes on a sandwich? Yes, please! Oh yeah, and broccoli too. So yummy. The guac is great, but the pico and the queso are just meh. The pizzas aren't anything to write home about, but then again, YBP is right across the street, so if you want pizza with your beer, go there. Beer! The draft list is ever changing and always wonderful. There is something for every beer snob you know. The patio seating is the biggest perk for me; there is plenty of room, and a fire pit for chilly nights.  Great addition to the neighborhood.

I like these kind of cool spots that carve out their territory in up-and-coming neighborhoods. They have a great selection of beer i've never heard of. You should check this place out - it's where real hipsters come to drink, not Bodega. Be an early adopter, not a follower!

Went here two nights in a row while in Olde Town East. Great food and beer selection. The bar has a upscale feel, but delivers a great price at around $7-12 for food. I got the jalapeño popper grilled cheese sandwich with a side of sweet corn -- it was fantastic! Also would recommend trying their hummus platter or nachos for an appetizer. Great location and place to be!
