    Unique taste; quick service.

I'm new to King Lincoln and I'm used to being in a funky part of downtown that was just far enough that no one delivered. So, when I saw a coworker get pizza delivered for her lunch, I just had to jump in. Turns out it was Plank's. I ordered a cheese pizza and I have to say, I'll be ordering again, very soon!

After ordering, my pizza arrived in about 20-25 minutes. I popped it open and the aroma was mesmerizing. I'm not native to Ohio, so I had to remind myself that square cut on a round pizza is standard. One of the first things I noticed was the ration of pizza to toppings. It wasn't overloaded with pepperoni, nor was it too sparse. It was probably the best example of a well-pepperoni'd pizza that I can remember. And they have those tiny pepperoni that crisp up around the edges, adding great texture. Speaking of texture! The crust is phenominal! It is thin with just enough bite that you can truly savor it, but you're not chewing forever.

I give Plank's 4/5 stars for two reasons: First, the customer service over the phone wasn't stellar. I was rushed through my order, wasn't quoted a price or how long it would take, and I was hung up on before I could ask more questions. Granted, it was lunch time, so that won't keep me away. Second, even though several other reviews mention the sweet sauce, I wasn't expecting it to be as sweet as it was. The sweetness is not subtle, but I don't feel like I'm eating dessert. I will say, though, that it slowed me down a bit, because it is so unique.

Came here for a friend's Christmas party and had a blast! The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly and the food was delicious! The pizza here tastes like it's baked on one of those honey wheat pretzels! It's good!! :)

My friends and I are on a Happy Hour binge, and this was the Monday stop this week. We stopped in on a Monday for half off pizzas, and showed up around 5 PM. The place was pretty empty and easily accommodated our large group, although I will say it filled in quite a bit by the time we left a few hours later.

The inside of the place is definitely akin to a local joint that hasn't changed its decor in decades, with lots of local sports memorabilia and pictures. Its not much to look at, but it has a lot of character. The staff was friendly and easily split our bill, no easy task for a party of 12.

As far as the food goes, I enjoyed the sweet crust. Their pizza menu isn't extremely long with specialty pizzas, and they don't have tons of toppings, but they have the standards. One of my friends ordered the Cajun Chicken and really enjoyed it. The pizza is that middle ground between regular and thin crust, not quite as crispy as the thin but not as carbolicious as the regular.

I might have gone with 4 stars, except our pitchers of domestic beer were $13. Seemed a little outrageous to me, maybe their Tues/Thurs happy hour specials are better.
