I should start by saying that I've never eaten the food here. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover this place, which is south of where I usually stop walking down High Street. They have a great beer selection and a pleasant atmosphere. Nothing particularly special, but it's just a nice place -- a little hidden gem, off the beaten (foot)path.
Review Source:I ate here a couple of times on a recent business trip because it was open late and close to my hotel. I am a spoiled craft beer person from San Diego, but their wheat beer was fine and went great with the soft pretzels. I also had the pierogi and sausage plate which was decent but probably not as good as you can get elsewhere in C-bus.
Service was a little off-putting - not sure if this was a regional thing, but they pretty much left you alone unless you grabbed their attention. The crowd at the bar was fun when a game was going on, otherwise, it's a pretty mellow vibe.
The perfect place for a beer heist! Â Gently poor the beer into these here growlers ya see. Â

Came in to Barley's to watch the Lakers/Heat game. Â Score...looks like there may be some higher gravity beers here. Â Ah yes...I love when some homebrew is afoot.
Topnotch craft beers here! Â Every beer avoided lingering notes...the melded flavors remained together for a finish that tasted like the first sip. Â This does require drinking faster than your grandma Ethel, however.
The atmosphere of Barley's is thriving with locals, tourists, convention attendees, and some of those trendy peeps. Â It all comes together and mixes nicely.
It's not in my neighborhood, but I'll come back next time I'm in town.
