Mac's Café

Great place for drinks and food if you're into Scottish/Irish food in the Short North. I used to live a block away and the service was always on point and reliably consistent.

I like Mac's n' all, but I feel it's been something that people let slide "just because it's Mac's."

I've been here and had great service, and I've had deplorable service. I've had my Guinness poured perfectly, and I've been served a priest's collar. The food - is good. The scotch egg isn't bad (mainly, I think it's the sauce people love), nor the Shepard's pie. I know we've ordered a few other items, but to hell if I can remember them.

The beer selection isn't bad, and the staff seems to have improved over the past year, but I suppose the lack of convenient parking is why I never really think of going there when I am in the area.

Worst rueben sandwich i have ever had.  The drinks were cold but the tables are crowded and too close together.  I'd come back if I had to but I'm not going to make it a destination place.
