As a frequent concert goer this is one of the best. Promowest Productions has a great thing going. The LC and Stage AE (in pitt) are almost identical and equally amazing places to see a show. The PA systems are perfect and the indoor/outdoor stages give wonderful options for the bands.

Beer prices are cheap compared to others. 32oz micro beer for 8 bucks is a unheard of. Go to nationwide and pay $12 for a 24oz bud can.

The LC. The second floor requires you to get there early, because they now seem to block the "box" seats so you can't look over them, and the sides are insanely crowded. Downstairs - better angle, unless you're short. Really, the Newport is a better indoor venue, IMO.

The bartenders? Don't order anything complex if you want to be served and not ignored.

Outside? It's a great venue. I've caught several shows here, and it's hard to find a bad seat. Even the crowded shows, it's pretty easy to weave in and out of the crowds, get down in the mosh pit area, or claiming a piece of grass as your own.

I never mind a drive up to Cbus for a show at LC. This place is especially cool because it serves as both an indoor and outdoor venue. I've only gone to concerts inside, but have heard good things about the outdoor stage, so I'm hoping to make it out there over the summer.

Located right off the highway, LC Pavillion is a fairly large venue with a decent-sized pit, and a pretty long bar with lots of bartenders behind it, so you never have to wait too long for a drink. They always have big ol 24 oz plastic cups of beer for 8 bucks, which really isn't bad in the scheme of things, and the size helps make it last so you don't have to leave your spot to get another beer (as often).

Parking - On a weekend, it's fairly impossible to find a street spot so you usually have to park behind the venue in a 5 dollar lot.

The A&R Rock Bar usually has pre and post-show parties, and it's literally steps next to LC. Besides that, downtown Columbus is just a few blocks down the way, where you can find more bars, restaurants and the like.

Security is usually pretty relaxed and the staff is fairly nice, but there is only one flaw of this place - the bathrooms. They're not dirty or small, they're actually nice venue bathrooms - but the entrances to both Mens and Womens is located in the very same hallway that leads you to the outside smoking area. As it is a non-smoking indoors business, there is always a clustered mess of music fans on their way in/out of their nicotine fix and people trying to head to the bathrooms. I have a few smoking friends, so every time we went to go outside it was quite the crowded process getting in and out. Just a bit of a not-to-thoroughly though out floor plan.

A nice, modern, decent-sized venue that promises an excellent live experience.
