Oh sweet baby Jesus. I really hate doing this...trust me, I do since Wall was one of my first gay clubs I visited when I was in the process of coming out. But alas...it has to be done. I call it like I see it. Sadly, I really don't like what I see anymore.

Lately I've only gone to Wall to support friends in their DJ-ing endeavors or birthdays. There's a reason for that.

When I first started going to Wall, the dancefloor had no dinosaur-sized stage and it was PACKED...all...the...time. It had great lights (which it still does) but was dark and allured a sense of mystery and sexiness. Things, personally, I think encompasses club culture and, in a sense, club history. Not to mention, the music was AMAZIBALLS. Sadly, last Friday's tune sung so loudly, after removing my finger from my ears...well, there was blood...from the music being so horrendously AWFUL.

Many of other gays were standing around (so this wasn't just me y'all!) talking about how awful the music was. I mean, if I wanted to hear bad pop music, I could go to any cliché straight douchebag bar. You go to a club to dance. Well folks, there was more people talking about the terrible music and standing around then there was dancing.

At points through the night the dancefloor would be completely vacant. VACANT. NO. ONE. DANCING. There's a reason for that kids. And, when your business is a club, you sustain it on people being patrons to pay the bills and well...your liquor/beer sales. Maybe that's why it's still open as people had to drink so much to forget about the bad music?! I don't know. That was my plan anyway.

You go to a club to hear dance music...good music because you expect hired DJs to know their craft, be innovative and do it well.

You don't go to a club to hear THE MACARENA. Or Will Smith's "Gettin' Jiggy With It" straight off the cd. Should I bring my roller skates next time because I could've swore it morphed into a roller rink (and trust me, I know this because I practically lived in one for 20 years training)?

Not to mention you, as a club, should have the expectation and only hire DJs that can do something called "TRANSITION". There was horrifyingly none of that going on either. Guess it was amateur night all around.

It's almost like Consuela, the maid from Family Guy, came out and said, "No, no. Good DJs is no here."

ABSOLUTELY. TRAGIC. If they keep up like this, on every night they're opened, I look for them to be out of business in t-minus 2-3 years...if not sooner.

I'd say now it's honestly a waste of money to go unless you're going for a show. The dance scene in Columbus is already pretty much a travesty but I went to Axis Saturday and the music was well...good music. And their dancefloor was PACKED. Go figure those two go hand-in-hand.

Over the past year or so, Wall Street has become this art-tastic little club!

I've been to Wall Street a few times throughout my years in Columbus, and it was always "okay". Not really my scene, but also not miserable when my friends felt like going out.

But in the past year, I've seen three Imagine Production plays at Wall Street, and my friends and I have had the best time at each one! The tickets are reasonably-priced, the tables are front-and-center, the drinks are cheap, and the parking is easy.

I don't think Wall Street as a club will ever be my kind of place, but it's most definitely on my list of favorite places in Columbus to catch a show.

I've been a few times now and am not impressed. I even gave first Friday a try and walked away wanting my money back.
This club if you can call it that is small lack luster and kind of dirty. Id call it a dive bar under other circumstances. Wall street is in an ally one shared with the ymca. Be prepared to be harassed by these men, there is no security outside except one camera watched by the front desk. If you want to smoke you will need to do so outside in the ally.
The drinks are the one good thing at this place except the last time i went each bartender made her own prices up. There is one very nice very cute bartender.
The stripper hired to dance on the table looked beyond bored and had no rhythm.
The music here is beyond bad. Like you can see the shifts of people depending on what's played. Most of the music say 60% is top 40, the rest is just reminders of 90s pop divas and George Michael. It makes no sense to me that the music that isn't to 40 clears the floor quickly except for the very old clientele.
I am over the idea of this place. I cant bring myself to ever pay another cover here. There's a much better bar down the street that won't charge me a cover has stronger drinks better prices and nicer people.
