I eat here more often than I should.  But really if I want wings and don't want to leave German Village where do I turn?

For a long time I hated Roosters wings.  It was sort of a trial and error process, but now have a standard order that's pretty good, but still can't compete with great wing.  Hot Garlic - all drumsticks.  Everything else I've tried has been bad. But stick with this and you'll satisfy your wings craving.

But the place is never packed, pretty quick and friendly enough.  I prefer carryout and it's a not option to have.

I feel the need to go back and update my old review as I now live in German Village, and visit Rooster's a lot more frequently than I used to. The service is always great, all of the waitresses are friendly (yeah, I know) and the food is good and reasonably priced. Certainly doesn't hurt that it's a block away from my house. Definitely my go-to spot if I'm hankering for some greasy bar food. The pizzas are surprisingly good for a chicken joint. Highly recommended!

This place reminds me of Hooters without the girls in orange spandex.  The walls are lined with light-colored wood, there are TVs everywhere, and they specialize in wings.  If you like Hooters, then you'll like Roosters.  If you don't like Hooters...well, you're a bit of a snob.

The wings are delicious.  Really big, meaty wings with tons of sauce and tons of breading, just the way I like them.  The fries are tasty too.  The service was kinda crappy, but I don't really expect great service from wing joints.  The beer list isn't anything to write home about, but, again, wing place.  All in all, this is a good place to hang out with friends during a game and eat some really good wings.

Pretty excellent little spot. I've heard a lot of good things about this local chain, and I was not disappointed. The service was very friendly, and the food was hot and tasty. Went there for lunch on a Saturday, and there were some good specials going on too. Definitely some of the better wings I've had in Columbus.

We tried to order ahead, they did not let us.
I orderes 10 boneless wings, Killer sauce, the 2nd spiciest sauce. Sauce was OK, Not ultra hot like I imagined. Wings we super salty. They say they are award winners. I don't know which contest. My lips are chipped because how spicy they were. You want Blue cheese? That's extra. Want Celery sticks? Extra. WTF?
The whole admosphere is nice. Waitress was very helpful and nice.

It's hard to complain about a casual joint that boasts amazeballs chicken wings and a hearty beer selection. It's a great game-watching spot!

I love the curly fries (though they're usually a bit under-salted for my taste). Service is a bit slow, but has never been annoyingly so. Parking can be a pain, but hey, that's German Village for ya.

Everything about this place, from the cooks to the food to the service to the decor to the condition of the actual menus, is gross.
If you want wings there are exponentially better wing options within spitting distance of roosters (Jimmy V's, Club 185, Max & Erma's), at a better price and served by friendlier staff, in a cleaner, more pleasant environment.

For a tiny, crowded restaurant on a Saturday night, I was impressed by how well our waitress managed to keep track of us. The wings were substantial in size and the sauce (spicy Thai chili - omg, try it) was so so good. I wasn't a huge fan of the batter on the fried pickles, but my boyfriend loved them. I'm pretty picky, so to each their own.

I'm not in this part of town very often, but I can definitely see myself stopping in here again for the food. And the beers, of course.

This location is quaint and cute. If you are looking to watch a big game, get there early as the place is fairly small. Prices are great, food is great & they have plenty of TV's for the game. Even have Keno which is a huge plus for me! :)
During NFL season they have $1.95 Bud Light pints during the game & Monday's are wing night!

I want to like this place because its nice for a bit of greasy food. However, I cannot stand the service there. The girls that work there are absolutely horrible, they are always rude, over the phone and in person when you dine in. I ordered over the phone the last time I ever decided to put up with this place. She asked me if I could hold for one minute, so I did, I was on hold for over 5 minutes and then she just hung up on me. I called back, then the phone just rang and rang.

Best Wings in the USA!  Donkey Sauce is to die for.  Everything here is consistently good.  Go now!  Go now!

One word...breading.  That allows the grease to really grab the back of your throat and hang on for the whole evening.  Lots of beer and the excellent loaded fries, saved an otherwise unmemorable trip.

I am not a wing expert by any means, but, I truly believe that Roosters has some pretty outstanding wings. Not only are the wings great, but, the chicken strips (naked or fried) are pretty amazing too. My favorite thing on the menu is the Red, Bacon and Blue salad! The dressing is awesome and you can add chicken strips to it... Yum! I usually hit Roosters for lunch (free wi-fi) and love that I can bring my computer for entertainment if I go solo. I also have been picking up take out lately... When I need a greasy fix on a Sunday night and don't feel like sitting down for dinner... I order some wings from Roosters.

Roosters is a great neighborhood joint to drink a few beers, watch a game and just relax with friends. The service is pretty good and the atmosphere is pretty standard for a GV restaurant bar... A good mix of locals and visitors.

The one thing that does bother me... You have to ask for Blue Cheese with your wings and I believe they charge $1 for each container. Also, people complain about the parking... Its German Village people! You may have to walk a whole block.

Great wings every time.  Add a bunch of flat-screen TVs and beer and you've got the perfect game-watching venue.  The wings are a good size and the sauces are legit.  Not the greatest beer selection, but they've got the usuals.  Great service and hasn't been too crowded the times I've gone.  I've never been to the other locations, but seems like this one has more of a neighborhood feel.  I think they have 50 cent wings on Mondays too.

I don't know if it was because of OSU game day, my love for German Village, or because it was simply a delightful afternoon with good company, tall beers and some kick-ass wings - but I LOVED my first trip to this Roosters.

I've been to most of the locations around the city and have always been a little turned off. See here: <a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz/roosters-grove-city#hrid:SSFpHEVvr9NaCsmDo-usRw">http://www.yelp.com/biz/…</a>

But this location was different. It was smaller, cleaner, I could watch the entire game without squinting and the service (even on a bustling game day) was awesome.

And let's talk about the wings! Sooo good! They aren't little teeny wings either - we're talking meat! I was even pretty happy when I walked out of there only spending $15 for three huge beers and an order of poultry.

My favorite quirk: the quotes on the wall.

    Friendly, Cheap, greasy, good, beer!
Basically sums it up.  Service here is always great.  The only time you can expect a wait is game time, so if you're planning on watching her set up camp early.
I love me some chicken wings, though here I think the tenders outshine the other methods of consuming poultry.  The quality of chicken is light years beyond BW3s (and I do like b-dubs).  Obviously not frozen or anything crazy like that.
Sauces are good, but BW3s has better sauce, or at least a better variety.
Fried mushrooms are a must every time we go here.
Their happy hour is pretty decent too: 2.75 draghts (domestic, of course).  Two 4 piece tenders, fried mushrooms, and 3 22oz beers is about 25 bucks during happy hour.
I live within walking distance so this joint has a special place in my heart, but prior to being local I definitely made the drive more than once.
My only disappointment is the size of the boneless wings.  They used to be massive and now they're closer to what BW3s offers, though noticeably larger.  I'm not saying there's a relation to this occurance and BW3s closing down the street but... well... I don't know how to finish that sentence.
Beer selection is on the paltry side, but I wouldn't really appreciate a nice craft porter while my tongue is blistering, nose running, and eyes watering from Super Killer wings.  Yes, the Super Killer is insanely hot so I'd start of with the, um... er... "Donkey" flavored wings to break you in.
Caveat to my review: I have never had anything here but the variety of wings.  No burgers, pizzas or anything like that, but honestly, why would you?  I wouldn't go to Olive garden and get a steak.  Go to a burger joint if you want burgers, come here if you want delicious wings.

One of the more lively places in German Village.  A friendly bar with reasonably priced drinks and decent bar food

I was out handling some business with my dad after Thanksgiving and he wanted to take me to lunch. He was making suggestions and when he said Roosters, it was somewhere I had never been, so of course I jumped on it.

    <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.roosterswings.com%2Flocations%2Finfo.php%3Flocation%3D99&s=c3ddd435ae988027577ea12157abd192bbdcb376ec8d0372f835206c6bfe6668" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.roosterswings…</a>

Upon first walking in, if you didn't know already, you'll realize it's a sports bar type restaurant - flat screens abound with games playing, tables with stools (some have chairs as well, and I think some booths.) Kind of like Hooters, but better; cleaner, and no cheesy atmosphere. And while there are no scantily clad women, there are cute (especially the one with dark curls), nice and attentive ladies nonetheless (and who needs women in running shorts and hosiery anyway? a bit silly if you ask me.)

Anyway, the thing I really want to mention about Roosters is, they make a damn good burger. It's been a while since I've had a burger this good. I got the 1/4 lb Bob's BBQ Burger with the works and cheddar cheese - damn tasty... and my dad was telling me how you can pretty much get it hooked up any way you want... like he prefers his onions chopped and grilled - just ask and it's done.

Oh, and as we left, all the girls chimed in to say bye, I love that kinda thing. My dad is a regular at this spot, so hopefully he'll take me again when I'm in town...and maybe the waitress with the dark curls will be there too...

I went here on a Sunday to catch a pre-season Bears game with my Pop.  We sat at the bar which affords lots of seating and is stationed directly in front of several flat screens, so while watching the bears, I was also getting caught up on boxing.  Had a few R&C's at $3.75 each and some boneless wings with medium sauce.  The medium sauce was a true medium, none of that "sissy" medium nonsense.  This stuff had a real kick.  I can't wait to go back and try their Hot.  They also had this sauce called "Donkey" which was hotter than the Hot on their adorable thermometer illustration.  Anyway, I'll be back.

good food + good prices = good time

    Great boneless wings!

Came here on a break from wedding festivities for dinner, and the hot garlic, boneless wings did not disappoint. This is also one of my sister and brother-in-law's favorite hangouts, I've been here for drinks before, but this was my first time for food.

Service has always been friendly and good. If I lived here, I'd be back every Sunday during football season or on Friday nights for a relaxed hang out. Good beer, great wings and stellar prices.

I'm really not a chicken wings and fries kinda girl...but I am a beer and sports type.

I just got back from this place with some friends that had a hankering for poultry. The menu is simple,it's clear there is not a parisian chef back there and everything is served in baskets lined in paper. They have the standard crowd pleasers on tap, blue moon, bud light, magic hat #9...etc.

The only thing about roosters that is not mediocre is the crowd, laid back atmosphere , and awesome series of flat screens along the bar featuring college and professional sports.

This is a great place to go to meet locals in german village, hang out with a large group of friends since the seating is adequate, or watch the game.

I wasn't to psyched to go here but I will be back come baseball season!

I'm not sure if German Village is a perfect match for a casual wings and beer type place like Rooster's, but I suppose it works either way. It's hard to quantify the existence of Rooster's without comparing it to local heavyweight BW3, but either way I think it does an A-OK job of holding its own.

The menu here is nothing fancy, just a standard selection of fried chicken products, sandwiches, salads, fries, etc. Most of the nuances that make Rooster's stand out are subtle, but they're appreciated nonetheless. The Reuben sub is pretty huge and is great if you like Rubens, but I'd recommend sticking with the chicken fingers if I were you. Get it done up with the medium buffalo sauce if you know what's good for you- it's tangy, spicy, and perfectly halfway between mouth-scorching and just right. Steer clear of the teriyaki, however- it's a greasy mess and doesn't taste very good at all.

The ambiance here is more like a campus bar than a place like Lindey's or Club 185, making Rooster's a decent place to stop for lunch if you're new to the area and don't feel like dealing with the trendy vibes most of the other restaurants in the area are rife with. It's easy to feel at home amongst the wood paneling and the heavily lacquered furniture, but I'd try to avoid getting drunk and falling over in the street here. They don't take kindly to that in German Village, after all.

Roosters is the "good ol' neighborhood bar" of german village. Although it doesn't have the olde world charm of other eateries in the area, it's a good change from the usual german village cuisine.

Prices aren't bad, for two people it was about $24. The menu is small but has variety. Their individual size pizzas had a good thin crispy crust. And the sub we had was tasty and filling.

The place was over-run by softballers from berliner, so service was a bit slow and impersonal. Otherwise our experience was a good one.
