  Zombie crawl stop 2. I guess we'll just roll with calling this place PIB. Though i believe it is technically the "Gutter" now. Had it not been for a lot of people in costume, i think i would have hated this place more. But it was sort of fun. I snagged a Sam Adams Oktoberfest and Strongbow cider for bargain basement prices. The bar directly in front of the stage gives this place an absurd "Coyote Ugly/Tom Cruise in Cocktail" vibe. I half expected Rob Lowe or Michael J. Fox to hop onto said bar and rip a mean guitar/sax solo.
  For being dressed as a frilly zombie dandy, i encountered no static. I tip my hat to the burly gentlemen of this bar who weren't looking to pick fights all night as i had expected. Though if i went there any other night dressed in that manner, who knows...
  
  Now a bit about 80's cover bands. Why do you all do the same songs? With all the other competing 80's cover bands, you would think to change up the set list a bit. Nope. Journey, Cure, Bryan Adams, and Simple Minds just like all the other bands. Whatever. I didn't pay to get in, so i am not that annoyed. What does annoy me? "Monster" energy drink neon bar lights. For real, now energy drinks need signs too? Ugghh...

  With my deep-seated hatred for the namesake, I cannot, in good faith, give more than 2 stars.

  Calling it PIB, just makes this meathead bar seem even more pathetic. I can only go to places like this if I'm drunk.

  Oh Emm Gee.
  
  I bet the owners of this place feel very successful. They've accomplished what they set out to do. The Put-in-Bay Bar is exactly like the island of Put-in-Bay -- full of douchey brahs and terrible cover bands that will make your ears bleed.
  
  They even have a little VIP room that overlooks the bar. It contains a large teevee, a leather couch, and a stripper pole!

  I always laugh at the name of this bar. It is so stupid.
  
  The Put-in-Bay bar is a local favorite of hambones and hooknasties, drawing the typical west end Lakewood crowd, white, middle class, post college locals. It is a great place to grab a cheap drink and "dance up on" a PYT. If you are looking for a sophistication and class, this is not the bar.

  The island in Lake Erie is a very stupid place full of drunks celebrating who knows what. The goal of this bar is to duplicate that stupidity on the west side of Lakewood. The bands that get booked here are terrible. I am mad that I ever set foot in this stink pit. I have a lot of friends who love going to really dumb places. This is one of them. That is why I have been going to places alone and living a solitary lifestyle as of late. The only thing that I can say positive about this place is that there is bowling here. Go to Mahal's if you really have that itch to bowl. The lanes here are no good. If you don't believe my review, click the hyperlink to see pictures from the place.
