This is the best pizza in Northern Bergen County. Nice BIG slices in house, crispy crust, sauce and cheese just as they should be NY style.
If ordering delivery (which is usually within 25-40mins) - make sure you say crispy crust - it can arrive to your door too moist otherwise, and thus hard to eat.
The margherita pizza is excellent as well as the peppers and onions, meatball, pepperoni, and sausage.
But don't just try the pizza - the entrees are delicious too! Family favorites in our house are Penne A la Vodka and the Spaghetti w/White Clam Sauce. You will be surprised how good it is - better than some "classy" restaurants that will charge you double for the same.
It's a shame some people are scared away from this place because of its location or "look." Sure it needs updating, but you're not eating the decor!
HORRIBLE DO NOT GO HERE... gave me the wrong pizza would not take it back even though I did not even touch it yet. called them up they told me "IF I HAVE A PROBLEM COME DOWN TO THE STORE AND DEAL WITH IT FACE TO FACE"
This Guy Was trying to pick a fight with me. He said he made the delivery and knows where I live and said if I keep complaining he will come to my house and deal with me dace to face
Do NOT go here.. the most rude people ever
When it comes to size, Ray's really delivers. I use to go to Ray's all the time during high school and revisited this past weekend. I got a ziti slice and it was fresh out of the oven. It was twice the size of a slice you would find anywhere else for the same price. The crust was really disappointing though. I don't know if it's my memory failing me but I thought the crust was thicker the last time I had Ray's. Or, maybe it was because it was too fresh? I don't know - I couldn't get a bite of it without everything sliding right off the soggy crust. I ended up just picking some crust, throwing some ziti and cheese on it and eating it. It was still delicious but I wish the crust would have been crisper and held better.
Review Source:Best pizza in Bergen County. Huge house slices just like the NY Original Rays. Try the Lasagna pizza. Huge slices of meatballs on ricotta, tomato sauce and mozzarella. Filling and tasty. Every pizza parlor should be just like Rays. Probably my favorite pizza right after the Rays on Prince Street in Little Italy.
