I am basing the rating on the service and not the meal.
All the women working today, had been so bored, that they were leaning on the counters when we arrived. No customers equates no work?
It took a few minutes to figure out what we wanted (everything bagel sandwich with egg and cheese, plain bagel with egg and cheese. Two coffees). The girl who took our order had no idea how to ring us up. My question is: shouldn't she be in school? She looked 16. We were there at 11:30am.
The everything bagel was put in, but the plain wasn't, and when it was, the cook didn't know what the counter help was talking about. We sat down to wait for our breakfast, and when it was delivered. We were asked if we need anything. We replied "our coffee". Apparently, we paid for it and no one knew or even gave it to us. So we got it with an attitude. During the time we ate, we were being watched by the staff, as if outsiders aren't allowed to eat there.
The sandwiches were good, but coffee tasted like it was either bottom of the barrel or super bland. Almost watered down.
It has been one of those visits where first impressions are always the best, and we most likely won't return. The price was right for the meal, but the attitude wasn't.
I drove by the Atrium on my way to pick up my Mom for lunch today and saw the sidewalk sign showing Robin's Nest Bakery and Cafe. Picked Mom up and we decided to stop in and check it out. Â Very cute decor, B&W photos of French scenes and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Â The person behind the counter was friendly and helpful. Â We each got a sandwich and split a salad. Â When the server brought our "split" salad on two separate plates, each beautifully displayed, we were pleasantly surprised. Â The salad was very fresh, crisp and cold and we both really enjoyed it. Â Mom got the Moulin Rouge sandwich and I got the Tuna Salad sandwich, both were delicious and the bread was soft. Â We were asked more than once by different employees how we liked our meal and they seemed genuinely happy that we liked it. Â I will definitely come back again but next time I will save room for dessert, the cupcakes looked awesome!
Review Source:Ordered a simple basic cake for $25. Â (enough for 8 people). Was very disappointed with the quality. Â In my estimation, the cake was stale, possibly made, frozen and defrosted. Â For $ 25, Â Publix puts out a much more yummy, and 'fancy' cake than this bakery. Â Their cupcakes are great, very fresh and the frosting is lucious. Â However, I won't make the mistake of ordering another cake from them again. Â Very disappointing.
Review Source:A wonderful dining experience! Â This quaint little cafe offers a wonderful selection of sandwiches and soups as well as some delicious cupcakes and pastries. Â I would rank their soups in the top three of all times. Â Their lobster bisque and stuffed pepper soups are to die for. Â If you are in the mood for something sweet, you should try their French Toast Cupcakes I promise you that it is a taste you will not forget. Â The staff is fantastic and handles special orders without question. Â The owner seems to always be there and takes and active role in the operations, she may even be making your food. Â I strongly recommend Robins Nest and hope you have the same experiences I have.
Review Source:I have nothing but 5-star reviews for this location.
We have suffered a loss in the family and my parents live 25 minutes from Robin's Nest. This morning, to offer condolences, my boyfriend and I called about fifteen bakeries within 15 minutes of my parents address which offered delivery. None of them would deliver, some were rude, many required a week's notice, all of them said it was too far.
As a last ditch effort, we called Robin's Nest. She picked up the phone right away and was completely sweet - excellent customer service and the best we have seen in the area. She was very accommodating and treated the customer like they were the first priority - she took the order at around 10 and said she would personally deliver them to my parents at their home on her way home from work. No colossal short term delivery fees or fees for not having the order made a week early like the other places. On top of that, the other bakeries charged 25$ for delivery in their local areas - she only charged a couple dollars to deliver them, and it is a TWENTY FIVE MINUTE DRIVE.
This is the best example of customer service I have seen in a long time, and has made a huge difference to a family that is going through a lot. Little things mean a lot, and I hope that this review will guide some people to what is truly a great business with exemplary customer service.
