Shells Cafe

Since I work in the same building as this place and don't always feel like venturing outside in the dead of winter, I often have to subject myself to this "cafe". I think the only reason this place still exists is because of people like me, who don't have any alternatives.

The food is SO greasy and they offer no healthy options aside from sandwiches on average bread. Everything they make is coated in grease. Even their soup, which comes from a bag, tastes so salty you can't even eat it. The broccoli cheese is made with the consistency of the cheese you dip pretzels into! Their salads are about the only thing edible and they are coated in so much dressing. Everything just tastes so average. Even the fresh fruit is just pineapple and cantaloupe.

They don't even sell just plain coffee, let alone coffee drinks. They don't sell bags of chips or any kind of packaged snacky stuff.

I just think this place has the potential to be good, but fails miserably at being creative. They need to look at their cliental - business people who watch what they are putting into their bodies. I'm not saying they should go all organic, but at least get into the 21st century!

Plus I've been there on a few occasions when the employees are eating lunch behind the counter and then just rinse their hands before they start cooking.

I also heard that the same owners own a Mexican restaurant in Stillwater called Nacho Mama's, which apparently is really good. But then again, who can screw up Mexican food?

One more thing - for what you get, it's WAY OVER PRICED! Over $2 for a cookie? I know it's giant (and undercooked) but come on!
