Warning: If you know how to read Chinese, great. If you don't - Make sure to come here with a friend that knows or else youll be stuck for a good 10 minutes trying to figure out how everything works.

Unfortunately, every single KTV in Flushing is like this place.

The only thing I like about this place is that the amount of money you spend for just singing, is the amount of money you can get for the food. (So if you spent $16 for one hour of KTV,  you can get $16 worth of food before you have to pay for more food.)
However, it doesn't make much of a difference because the prices for food is crazy expensive, and they don't have anything besides a bunch of fried crap, and a fruit platter that costs $30 and they don't even give you much. You're better off sneaking your own food into the place - make sure to hide it deep in your bags though, or else they'll make you throw it out before you enter the place.

The service was terrible. My group ordered one order of french fries, one order of onion rings, and one coffee slush. The guy messed up on all three of those things. He first came in with an order of strawberry slush, which we made him take back. He then came in with two orders of onion rings, we made him take one back as well. When he finally came in with the fries, there was no slush. About 20 minutes before our time was up, we asked him where it was, and it seemed like he forgot all about it, so he just went into the kitchen. Around 10 minutes before we had to leave, he finally came in with the drink.
I wanted another straw so I can share the drink with my friend, so I went out to the table and asked for one. The guy passed by and gave me an annoyed look and said, "just go back inside and you'll get one".
    Rude.

The workers here are a bunch of teenyboppers that look like they just came from Asia, and they're pretty full of themselves. I think the only reason why they're even allowed to give you such bad service is because they have a set commission (15%).
Because of the bad service, we only tipped him 5%, and when we went outside, a guy came running after us telling us we were short on tips. If they had told us inside, I would've probably argued with him and said that his crappy service didn't deserve full pay. However, we were already pretty much halfway down the block, so I didn't feel like arguing anymore.

I will try to find better KTV places in Flushing, but it looks like i'm stuck with this shit for now.

Everytime when i am invited to this place make me dont want to go.  So my friend booked for a room apperantely they lady at the front desk messed up and told us to wait for 15mins which was okay at the beginnin but 15mins turned out to be 1hour. My friend started to complain and a staff there came up to give us attitude! The experience here is always horrible. The mics and the room are all so old. Wouldnt want to come back anymore.

So you expect to go karaoke and to have a good time. Great, but beware of the service. The workers there are nothing but a bunch of douchebags. 15 minutes before our time was up, they barge into the room and asks us to pay and they have the nerves to stand there to wait for us to pay. In addition, they came back to us saying we didn't tip enough. The nerve!!! Let me tell you something, tipping is optional, obviously I didn't give you what you wanted because your service was terrible. Be grateful that I even thought about tipping you. Overall, the songs selections were OK, but the service was just not worth the time. I recommend anyone who wants good service to not come here unless youre the type who likes douchebags then be my guest.

Bad experience. At the end they ask for a 15 dollars tip.Not 15% but 15 dollars and there's no service at all. Won't go there again , never.

One star for Xmas decor, one star for all the lights, and one star for the fish balls!

Touch screen to pick songs, simplified Chinese....! The room we were in had poor speakers... Something was wrong with the sound. It would just blank out once in a while.

My coffee slushie & strawberry slushie was SUPER bad. Very artificial taste and super sweet. Their calamari was shitty and you might mistaken it for shitty onion rings. Fruit platter presentation was interesting. Didn't touch any of the sandwiches I ordered though so no opinion there.

Come here if you love bright lights, will drink only from bottled products like henny & green tea... And if you only want to eat fish balls and fries.

Song selection is OK. But staff atitude is really bad. We booked 5:50pm, but they didn't let us in till 6:05pm. Then I said the need to make up the minutes, cuz after 7pm it will be more expensive. We want to sing for an hour. But they brought the bill in at 6:45pm and keep pushing us to pay and wanted to get us out by 6:55, cuz they want to clean the room. Totally ruined our mood. Also we ordered our juice from the very begining, but they forgot. We would have to ask for it again. It is just really lame. Not coming back!!

I had some friends coming to Flushing and they asked me to pick a karaoke place.   I heard good things about Sky Blue and decided to try it.    We had 8 people and got a medium sized room for $40/hour.  Space was pretty comfortable and you get your own private bathroom.  As in most places in Flushing you can use monies charged to the room as credit towards food & beverages.

The only thing I found that was different at this place is that they make you sign a contract stating the start time and the end time.    The contract was written all in Chinese.  The server wanted me to sign the contract but I told him I couldn't read it.  He then started to explain the contract to me in Mandarin, which I don't understand either.  I had to throw my arms in the air and walk away.  Luckily someone in the group can speak Mandarin and took over.    They also do bag checks and will not let you bring in alcohol.   I later found out someone in our group was in law enforcement.  They saw he had a gun but didn't ask questions and let him in.  So you can pack heat but no alcohol at this place.

I wasn't too found of their karaoke system or their English song selection.  The food here was just average.   The positives about this place is that the prices are reasonable and the service was good.  I still favor Zebra Lounge more for Asian Americans.

I will definitely come back to this place if I get an urge to sing Chinese love songs to my gatlin gun!  This place may be better for Chinese native speakers.  The selection of Korean songs is even worse than the selection of English songs.

I went to Sky Blue twice last year with friends, I thought the service was pretty good, and the decoration was definitely better than most of the other karaoke places in Queens. The prices were very modest for the amount of time and amount of alcohol we had consumed. The equipments were very modern, although lack of sufficient new American songs, so it was a bit boring for my ABC friends, but we played dice when not singing, so nobody was left out.

I think the place deserves a 4 rating based on my experience, but when I tried out the 'place @ main' that got a 4 star  rating but actually the price was pretty bad and the equipments were not as updated as I have read in the reviews, I feel I owe it to Sky Blue to give them a better rating.

Best thing yet, the place is right next to the big parking lot on Flushing, no problem with parking there at nights! People complained about the outside of the facility looks a bit shady, to me I don't care because I am enjoying the insides of the rooms instead of the outside. And it's in a very safe neighborhood, why would anybody be worried about stuffs like that?

When I first went there, my first impression of this was that the outside looked gloomy , like is not a right place to have fun. When I walked in, the people inside there are polite, they show us the way to our room that we booked. The songs are alright, not all of the artists are there. The bathroom are clean since there's one in each room. The mic was alright, since sometimes it kinda run out. The food was alright, but you can only order the same amount of hours you booked to get free food, if you order food that pass the hours you pass that you are paying, you have to pay for the food. Which is a good deal since I don't really order much to eat there! You can hear other people singing, since the door isn't fully close, but in order to avoid that, I prefer you put the volume to the maximum. You need to give tips, of course you have to, but you can't give coins ? There wasn't a rule saying you can't pay with coins, they didn't let us leave until we pay with cash! But other than that everything is alright. If you ask me, if I would come back, I would come back .

My first time at Sky Blue Karaoke was a LONG time ago (at least 4 years?) and I didn't remember it leaving much of an impression, even though my bus drives by the place all the time. I happened to come back here just a couple of weeks ago because a friend arranged a midday karaoke session on a Saturday, and this girl can never say no to karaoke! *points at self* As it turns out, we got the VIP room at a discount because it was a midday booking (I believe most karaoke places in Flushing do that), so after singing for three hours, each person in the room paid about $15-20. Not bad.

However, because I have been ultimately spoiled by Place@Main (<a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz/place-at-main-flushing#hrid:EWLNy7BZe0Xmp6L4H7f3ZA">http://www.yelp.com/biz/…</a>), this place only gets three stars for a few reasons:

    1) Their touch screen computer system is a little slow and all in Chinese.
    2) Their song selections are relatively up-to-date but are missing a few artists here and there. (We found Adele but couldn't find Linkin Park!)
    3) Their sound system is a little weird: some songs would be normal, but others would be very low, so you constantly have to adjust the volume.
    4) Our mics kept dying.

I probably wouldn't mind coming back here if my friends booked their sessions here, but I won't be actively seeking it out.

The best thing about this place is that it's situated across the street from the largest parking lot in flushing.  After 10pm, it's free parking there!  Ok so Sky Blue is more of an asian joint.  Most of the songs are in Chinese/korean.  There are English songs and surprisingly some recent songs too.  Foster the Parents - Pumped up kicks was on the list!

The prices were great.  There were about 12 of us, we stayed for 3 hours, each had 2-3 beers, had chicken sings and fried fish balls as snacks and got a bottle of Henny and with tip only came out to $230!  WTF!?  In manhattan, the bill would come out to $500 easy!

Spacious private rooms and and clean too.

One thing I really hate about their karaoke system is anyone can manipulate the song orders.  So if I was the 20th person to put a song in, I can easily bump my song to the next in queue with a touch of a button.

All the other kids with the pumped up kicks you better run....sorry, im still in the mood.

I was very disappointed during my last visit here. I ordered watermelon juice and milk tea, both of which took about 25 min to come (we had booked a room for an hour and was almost half done at that time). The service was horrible and they demanded a bigger tip when they came in to collect the money. This seems to be happening here a lot lately.

The room rates are fairly cheap but the atmosphere is very unwelcoming and the workers are rude. I will be visiting other karaoke places in the future.

I can't believe just in 1 month my rating to this place has dropped so dramatically.  The second visit was very disappointing.  First of all, the receptionist messed up our reservation, so when we got there, there was no small room for us.  We were sort of forced to take a large room (though they agreed to charge us at medium room price).  Fine, the price difference wasn't big enough to ruin our mood.

But the room was stinky!  The guy working there said it was the smell of the air freshener.  Are you kidding me?!?  And the private bathroom was filled with smell of cigarette smoke.  Seems like some customers took the bathroom as the convenient smoking spot.  Really bad...

In the end, they somehow mis-charged us at the large room price, and we had to ask them to adjust, and they showed an attitude.

Overall, the service was just disappointing.  We were thinking to go to CEO next time, but I heard CEO's service was also bad.. what other K place is good?

I have never been to a KT V place with such poor, rude service.   From the moment we walked in, they said there were only large rooms available for $20.  However, when we left, there were small and medium rooms available.  I can't believe they would do that just to get an extra $5.

It took forever for the drinks to come.   We only stayed for 1 hour, and the bill was $21.75.  We left a $3 tip, but then the guy said there is a minimum of a $4 tip.   I was shocked, and I didn't want to pay it.   Also, at the very end, the guy came right into the room and took the microphone away from us exactly at the 1 hour mark.

I don't know if the owner changed or the workers who are so greedy, but I am not coming back here.  I hope the owner realizes that retaining a customer is more valuable in the long run then trying to squeeze $5 out of the customer.

There are plenty of other places to go to KTV in Flushing.

I liked this place.  I've been to several karaoke places all around and this place is nice. I like the rooms and the own private bathroom. VERY NICE! The song selection was good and the drinks were nice. THANK YOU

    No stars from me.

From the moment we walked in they said we had to pay them first and give them 15 percent tip before we even walked up the stairs!

As we finally proceeded upstairs they tried to make us sign a "contract" that was not in English. The price would've been $50/hr for 6 of us, so the price wasn't that bad, but I have been to several karaoke spots and was never forced to sign a contract and pay tip before service was even provided.

why do i get the feeling that had our group been asian, things would've turned out better?

    racist. flushing.

The walls, ceilings and floors are lit up like crazy. Makes me feel like im in a futuristic hippy building. I don't know what the problem of the staff was, but the chinese guys gave me a really hard time when I asked him questions. They barely spoke english which was a bit of a problem.
The food that my friends and I ordered Sucked! Taste like plastic, felt like rubber. I guess it went down better when I have to drench it with ketchup -.-
Didn't like the music selection they had in English. It was a pain in the butt trying to understand how their karaoke system worked. Touch screen wasn't very responsive.
The only thing I liked was that they had a bathroom in the room. That was kinda cool I guess.
None the less, my experience was pretty bad. I over paid -.- Never again.

I'm a fan, there are bathrooms in each rooms.
The bottles are decently priced, I dont know what other KTV clubs in Flushing charges for their bottles. But a bottle of Hennessey cost about $110. One complaint though is that they only supplied one bottle of green tea with the Hennessey which is ridiculous.

They do check bags to make sure that you don't smuggle in food/alcohol from outside. There is no smoking in the rooms, but my friends just smoked their ciggs in the bathroom.

I do have a complaint, they should be able to control the temperatures in each rooms individually. Our room was packed with 13+ people and after a while the room became hot & muggy. When we complained about the temperature, they told us they only have one thermostat that controls the temperature in alllllllll the rooms. Some rooms are hotter than others, and others rooms are colder than the rest.

Overall, I had fun. Fun with great friends, and drinks.

*watch out for ID & bag checks upon entering* O_o

Instead of going upstairs like most karaoke joints take ya, Sky Blue goes downstairs (somehow this made me flinch, but anyway!)

Few cool notes about Sky Blue:
    - Classy bathroom, haha. So I'm big on bathrooms!
    - Awesome lighting system that you can mess around with. Just don't give your party seizures, pretty trippy.
    - If Chinese songs are your forte, I think you might like it here.  They have a lot of different versions to choose from for the same song.  So experiment with the acoustic cover, the concert version, and the duet version that you usually wouldn't find anywhere else!

    Why come to Sky Blue?

One, it's fairly new. The floor you step on, the walls you bump into, the mics you hold, the seats you sit on is all new.

Second, private bathrooms in every room, and they are pretty darn nice.

Third, the song selection system is touch screen. We were having a lot of fun just selecting songs.

Fourth, they got some pretty lights in each room and the hallway has a cool design.

I went there yesterday. It's really cheap and people there are friendly. Then even gave us a plate of fruit for free.  I enjoyed that very much. BUT the quality there is terrible!!! The voice of music is too small that we cannot hear the music. And the system is hard to use.... Anyway, if you do not want to spend too much money, Sky Blue is a good place to go. But if you are in pursuit of high quality, I strongly advise you not to try it....

I always forget about Sky Blue when I want to go karaoke in Flushing because there are so many better options. I ended up at Sky Blue for the second time recently because a friend organized a party there, and was reminded why I always overlook this place. Let me break it down for you...

Decor: Roomy and dark, typical of most Flushing ktv places, but DIY is better.

Food and drinks: They have the standard food and drinks options like the rest of the ktv places in the area, but Monster is better.

Song selection: They have a touch screen system that's fairly easy to use. They have a decent song selection but they don't seem to update as fast as a lot of their competition.

Sound system: Their sound is pretty good, but they have a huge problem with sound calibration. There's too big of a difference between the volumes from song to song, so we were constantly adjusting volume. Place@Main has the best sound system.

Price: We paid $50/hr for a large room on a Saturday night which is a good deal even in Flushing, and probably what keeps them in business.

All in all, I had a good time at Sky Blue and wouldn't mind coming back, but it doesn't rank high in my choices for karaoke places in Flushing. I'd rather pay more for a better quality karaoke experience.

This place is the best place to go for singing to Asian songs.  They ahve a really cool touch screen monitor so the songs are really easy to find.

If you go before 7pm, the rates are sooooo sooo cheap (6.50 an hour, I think).  And they give you a free plate of fruit!  (You might have to ask for it first).

It's totally worth the hike to flushing to come here for a great deal and sing WangLiHong songs to your heart's content.

Came here for a friend's farewell party, the 3rd time I've come here. According to everyone it is fairly new compared to the other karaokes in the area, so things are clean for now. The personal bathrooms in every room are small, but has everything including an urinal. I am still unclear regarding the prices, but  food/drinks are included along with the room. Just your regular food and drink selection, nothing special (don't get the sandwiches though).

The equipment sucks. The touch screen systems are no longer responsive, I was tapping the screen with my finger till it started to hurt before I could get the system to do what I wanted it to do. The microphones here REALLY suck, we had to get our microphones switched out 3 times. They either ran out of juice or was in and out when it came to picking up voices.

The volume control is a bit iffy. For some songs we wanted the music track to be louder, the system only allowed us to pump it up a bit. We really wanted to rock out, but sadly the music wasn't ear numbing enough. Lets just say everyone heard me singing WITHOUT a microphone...

If you like your English songs and Chinese isn't your thing. You might be left with a slim selection of songs. Even then, some of the already limited English songs are merely music videos with no lyrics and the vocal track can not be disabled.

So if you like Chinese songs, but don't mind how crappy the system can get sometimes...then by all mean give it a shot since it is fairly cheap. Another good thing is that they're really good with cleaning up the floor. I don't know how many karaokes I've been to where the floors of the private room are sticky and you hear everyone's shoes sticking to the floor while walking.

On a side note, they have a strict no outside drinks policy. There is a $100 dollar "corking/bottling" fee for any special drinks that are brought in. You wonder how strict the policy is? My friend had a half-finished cup of frappucino from Starbucks, that they didn't allow in. Until she argued enough that the guy upstairs let her through. C'mon guys, half a cup of coffee? Expect some of your bags to be looked through to prevent any outside (cheaper) alcohol from smuggled in. Despite the somewhat adequate control of who gets to come in, people opened our door and peeked in looking for their party multiple times during the night.

For all the smokers, I don't think they even have a no smoking policy. Somebody in my party during the past visits lit up inside the room and the servers didn't really care even though they spotted him smoking.

awesome pricing you can go wrong.

Cheap, some what disappoint song selection. limited jay chou and american pop.

Not sure if this is a regular price but we go $40 for 1 hour per room and $30 free drinks / food included. for a 10 -15 person room. That's amazing even without the free drinks.

This place is decent priced and the staff was professional except the guy downstairs with the clipboard gave me a hard time when I walked in maybe because he didn't understand English well but all I needed to say was the time and name I put down to reserve the room right? He kept looking at me, then the clipboard, then at me...I came here twice, last time sat downstairs in the small room which was okay.  This time I sat upstairs in one of the large rooms, very comfortable and each room as their own bathroom.  It also has a decent amount of English songs compared to other karaoke places in flushing.

By far, the best Karaoke in New York City. Great staff, awesome location, amazing rooms--each room has it's own private bathroom! They use the new touch screen systems, which means no more dealing with annoying song books. The management is as nice and friendly as can get, and that trickles all the way down to every member of the staff. And, it's pretty accessible by both train and car. I'd go here again in a heartbeat.
