Borrringgg dinner show. Nothing is awful about this place but the show is on par with a middle school play. I live in Orlando and have been to most dinner shows in the area, I have to put Sleuth's at the bottom of the list. The first part of the show dragged along slowly and then LITERALLY the second half the show is Q&A where each table gets to ask one question which seems to drag on forevvvveerrrrr. Overall, Total Snoozefest.

My roommate and I were really excited to try this - we're both into criminal shows/mysteries and she'd seen a show that sounded similar to this that she loved so we thought we'd splurge on it for her birthday.

We did NOT love this. The acting was super cheesy and exaggerated, basically like a high school play. The show is somewhat inappropriate for younger children and not really exciting for someone our age (early 20s) either. Unless you come with a group of 8 people, you will be sitting with strangers, which was pretty awkward when you have to participate together but no one wants to volunteer to speak for the group.

The only plus side was the food. I got the prime rib and my roommate got the lasagna which were both actually really good. The drinks are also unlimited, which includes beer and wine. We downed quite a few glasses of white zin to be able to get through the awkward night. Overall - we would not recommend this to someone unless they got free tickets and have nothing better to do. Definitely not worth the $50-60 we each paid.

FUN, FOOD & A GREAT PRICE.  I have done a few of these in my life and they are all campy and over the top but this one was a ton of fun and was defiaietly one of the best

I'm pretty much in agreement with everyone else here - I would only come if you get a huge discount on your tickets or if someone else is paying. We got a huge discount ($20/each) and enjoyed ourselves but wouldn't return on our own accord or really recommend if for anyone we know - it's not exactly for kids yet young adults aren't too into it either so I'm not sure what the crowd is they want. However, it was packed so obviously their marketing is working!

The food - which I was expecting to be horrible - was not and those around me that ordered the hen and steaks wanted my lasagna and changed their orders. I enjoyed the social part of it, sitting at a table with other people who were friendly and enjoyable to be around. However I could see if you got stuck with awkward people how it would ruin the whole thing for you.

I felt like the show was too scripted and they didn't go off script enough to connect with the audience that was there and make it personable and more humorous. I felt that the actors could have interacted and included the audience members more and even done some sort of preshow where they chat up the people and try to throw them off in their guesses for later. A certain personable-ness was really missing for me. Plus I felt like ad-libbing was not most of their strong points except for one brunette actress who handled everything soooo well and had great comebacks and tie ins with her character.

I also felt like the whole story was very broad and that made it hard to guess. I guessed the way he died correctly but not by whom and when they asked exactly how I thought that was deep for not much detail being given in the whole story. Ideally they could do that same story over and over again and change who did it because there was so much room for everyone to have done it since you never saw the detail of events like you would in a movie.

The magic bar was probably the best part which took place afterwards in the connected building with one of the actors doing close up magic on a screen.

I really wanted to like Sleuths, but it has somewhat set itself up for potential failure. From the layout of the lobby, which lacked any order and was severely cluttered, to the poor sound system that made it difficult for anyone to grasp the storyline through the terribly fake accents.

Its saving grace are the surprisingly decent food (I expected horrible, microwaved meals), and the entertaining actors who may not be the best at faking accents, but pretty good at being funny and exaggerated. Now, I'm not saying the food is absolutely amazing, because at the end of the day, my corny hen was mediocre at best. But others at my table raved about their lasagnas from the moment they started consuming it 'til after the show had wrapped up. The prime rib was also apparently pretty decent.

I would not recommend paying full price for this dinner show, but if it is less than $30/person, I'd say give it a try. Now that I've been once, I do not plan on returning unless someone else is paying.

I'm gonna break this down as simple as possible: Entertainment - Good, but could be better. Price - they encourage tip cuz they don't include it in the price of admission, which just shows that charging customers $60 is not enough to sustain their business. Food - 3-course meal was good, the appetizer needed work. It did take awfully long for our main entree to come out. Environment - lively and interesting sitting with strangers. OVERALL - not bad, but COULD be better. Better as in, the cast should be more diversified. I was expecting one or two of the customers would take on a surprising role, but we did nothing but brainstorm and ask questions from each head of the table. Not bad though, for a first time experience.

This is a tough experience to rate. If I was rating strictly on the quality of cuisine it would be a 2 1/2* review. Cut and dry. However, Sleuths is a WOW! I can only judge based on the cast of the show my lady friend and I saw. The show was stupendous. I took the advice of a fellow Yelper in another review and bought my tickets at a Walmart located off of highway 27 near the intersection of 192/27. I recommend doing this. Purchasing my tickets at Walmart netted me a $16 discount on each ticket.

When my date and I arrived at the theater we were greeted by a rather unusual security guard who was sipping a rum runner at the time. Out of the ordinary to be sure, but we felt plenty secure so it was alright. He informed us that tonight we were to attend a roast of some sort. There was an assortment of cheeses, wraps, and a fruit tray at the door. There was also a full liquor bar available in the lobby to all interested. For $15 you can pick up your favorite frozen drink in a Sleuths souvenir glass. Be warned. You will be hit up for money later in the photo package. If you are pinching pennies, but would still like a souvenir of note you are better off going for the photo package. It is $20 and contains 2 key-chains and framed photo of your party. The show was HILARIOUS. This is a great night of entertainment. I highly recommend it. It would have been a 5* review if the food hadn't been as poor as it was. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great.

We purchased our tickets from one of the ticket outlets on 192 HWY for 45.00 per ticket including tax. Saved big this way!

We were instructed to be there early as much as an hour ahead of the show time. We arrived at 6:00pm and were the second couple to arrive.

We walked in and my first impression was what in the World have we wasted our money on tonight!

As we walked through the door there was a man using a terrible impression of being from Scotland claiming to be Doctor Watson. He was more irritating than Entertaining.

The place was like a vintage shop more resembling a poor taste of decoration and I was immediately thinking this is going to be some hokey joint that stole my money!

We ate a few pieces of cheese squares that were placed out for appetizers, they had no flavor and there were no plates to put them on only napkins. As I walked around I found a small room that seated maybe 35 people and I was thinking, "Oh Man this place is a joke"!

Then comes the good part, they begin to call people for their tables and instead of being in the vintage junk store they took us next door to the theater, it was very nice, all set up to serve.

Immediately we could begin eating our salad and awesome dinner rolls and were served our drinks right away.

The show actually began from the time we were seated and continued throughout the evening.

It was funny and mysterious and promised, very entertaining.

Now, your not going to a broadway production so dont expect such a thing, but you will have a great time, meet new friends and enjoy the show!

Our food was average, but we didnt go for the food we went for the show, I have never been to a dinner and show combination where the food was above average.

Bottom line, we had a great time, ate well and enjoyed the evening!

My fiance and I were looking for something we haven't done before in order to waste some time before our late evening plans. We decided to do a dinner show and found Sleuth's Mystery Dinner Show.
We were excited to see that the show was about a wedding and who killed the groom!

It's important to get there early and have a few drinks and get the feeling of the all around atmosphere.

Once seated, you're able to eat ... and oh ... the cheese dip was AMAZING!!! My fiance ate the lasagna with meatballs and I had the hen. Both were delicious and cooked well. The desserts we had were the key lime pie and strawberry shortcake. Again, both delicious. The food was all around as good as expected. They didn't let us down.

We had a family of 4 sitting with us. The parents have been to shows here all the time and loved it. They said they come each year. So we were sitting with a good group of people.
*** However, a tip to anyone who has gone before and you know your "table-mates" have never experienced a show before, don't ruin it by stating at the end "I've seen better, this wasn't so good" and then not applaud the cast as they finish. It's rude and takes away from the first timers experience. We loved it, regardless.

The cast were a funny group of people and played their roles exceptionally well. At the end, they are all brought out, giving us a chance as a group to ask specific questions, trying to help unravel the mystery. They played their roles so well, my fiance and I both had the wrong person picked as the murderer.

I will go and do this again for sure. It was a fun, interactive, unique experience. A must for everyone.

Sometimes when the family is in town, you have to do the tourist thing. We did it recently at Sleuth's and had a great time. They have plenty of onsite parking, so getting there and getting in was a snap. The food was OK, nothing to write home about. They do give you plenty, and unlimited beer or house wine to drink. The show was very nice, all the performers were really into it and put on a good show. People of all ages were in attendance and having an awesome time.

Went there for WKZY radio final show. As with the previous seven shows we have seen at sleuths. This was funny and a very entertaining night. The cast is always improvising based on the audience. The interaction along with the camaraderie of other people at your table leads to a night of great entertainment. .
For a dinner theater the food is above average. The fun begins at check in where the characters start priming the audience prior to seating. I have always enjoyed each mystery and the murderer can change for the same show so it is never predictable.
This is is a regular stop for us when we visit the area. If you are attending on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday take advantage of the comedy or magic show following the Murder Mystery. The $5 discount ticket is well worth the entertainment value. These may not be Prime time Players but they are very entertaining. Remember these are local performers and the sets could be cheesy but that is part of the entertainment.
Don't compare to a Broadway production but sit back and enjoy a night of entertainment. Each time has been very entertaining.

Yes, it was my idea to go to this dinner/show because it sounded like a fun time of "who done it", solve the mystery, suspense, etc. And I don't give many bad reviews, but I feel obligated to say that this was an awful time. The food was mediocre and the actors were just not great. I was extremely bored with the entire production. I see many Yelpers gave it a good review. Indeed the people (from Oregon) at our table seemed to be having fun. I just don't know.  Maybe it's because I live in New York City where high school and college productions far outweigh what I saw that evening.  I am generally not a snooty NYer, but this evening was awful and I felt SO bad because it was my idea to go..... "SORRY!!!!"  I thought it was corny and cheesy. If you MUST go, do not buy tix at door or from their website, there are plenty of discounts online for $39.00. (which is still a lot for this production even with the food -- the best part was the unlimited raspberry iced tea) Come to NY and catch the students at the High School for Performing Arts ---or any HS ----for free!!

    One word, Hilarious.
My lady treated me to the Mystery Dinner Show for our anniversary, and we had an amazing time.
    As for the show.
The plot and overall story really wasn't that creative, but the actors made up for it by improvising through the show and adding a great amount of humor. They did good at including the audience in the show and answering questions ( including weather or not the actresses were single, and why the dudes wore such tight pants.) I will say even though it is advertised as kid friendly, it really isn't. Yes the show is careful with it's humor but the audience is not. Expect a lot of dick and fart jokes from the masses.
    For the food.
We had the cheese lasagna which was very tasty. They also include salad, bread rolls, and desert. It was an overall nice meal. Plus the unlimited beer and wine is a nice touch. They only serve Bud and Bud Lite beer though so you may just want to get a coke.
We didn't stay for the late night comedy show, but we will be coming back for it.
I highly recommend for a fun time.

Sleuths was my first show dinner, I've never experienced it before but the concierge at our hotel had pamphlets for it and it seemed more interesting than the Arabian Nights one and the Medieval one. So we showed up with no reservation but they were kind enough to be able to seat us at a table with 3 other couples. After waiting in the lobby/store/bar for a little while we joined everyone else in the actual restaurant/show area. We were seated by one of the actors and our adventure started literally as soon as we walked through the door. At first you make small talk with your table and eat bread, crackers and salad then they start explaining the rules on stage. They introduce you to the story a little bit and then they take a break giving the audience time to eat and discuss whats going on. They continue after a majority of the audience has finished their course and the waitresses come around to offer and take dessert orders. A photographer also takes your photo that you can take home for a fee, although our picture wasn't great, the contrast between the colors were sharp and sucked. Anyways, its all really entertaining and you're sitting there thinking the entire meal! Our table was pretty smart and came up with a bunch of questions for the actors and actresses during the interrogation part. There was a twist and you'll never guess it, I'm sure there's a twist in any show you go to. It was fun and I hope the next show is just as great. The food was comparable to the food I had on the cruise ship we had gotten off or banquets food hotels serve.

Went here last night with some family and had a wonderful time. Orlando is also a place where I'd consider myself an almost local, since we've been coming here since I was little, but there are still some tourist-trap type places that I would definitely recommend to the masses.

This place is a lot of fun. Where Medieval Times and the Pirate Dinner Theatre show can tend to be campy to the point of being painful, this place is just loads of pure fun. The theatre is a nice sized room filled with tables situated around a stage at the front. This makes the crowd size manageable, rather than the overwhelming crowds in the aforementioned dinner shows.

My favorite part of the night was the fact that the actors seemed to be having such a fun time. It's definitely improv theatre, but these actors are very well trained and worked well with each other and with the (very interactive) audience.

The dinner was fine, not necessarily anything to write home about, but for me, it was more about the show. I'd recommend this show above most anything else you could find on International Drive. And with 13 shows playing in rotation, you're guaranteed never to have a boring evening.

A fun show with decent food.

Their check-in process is a bit cumbersome, but once you're in, the show begins.  Improv actors cruise the room, chatting up the tables, and introducing themselves.  Then they get on stage, perform an act, and it ends in...

    murder!

    but in a funny way.

Then you get to write questions for the actors.  And put them on the spot.

Overall, the acting is great.  Funny, interactive, a great show.

Food was decent, but nothing in Orlando was great.  It's more about the show than the food.

They do give you unlimited drinks though...

I had an awesome time at Sleuth's.

Great show, great actors and actresses. I laughed so much that I nearly forgot I had to eat dinner! ~.^

For $50 or so you get a great show and dinner (prime rib, lasagna or chicken). We actually got it for $40 because someone had extra tickets. If you look at traveling pamphlets or online, you can find $6 discount coupons though.

I thought my prime rib was pretty good - and actually done medium rare (actually saw red). So YAY! The chicken that my husband had wasn't too bad either in my opinion. We also get a starter salad and bread (bread was yummy!).

Dessert choices were chocolate cake, strawberry shortcake or key lime pie. Dessert was okay, not great cake.

My husband actually surprised me again when the show was done.
He told the staff that it was our honeymoon - so we got called out and got a huge cake to ourselves as well as a little gift. What a sweet touch! They do this for any occasion, so just let them know. =)

Overall, this place is pretty great.

The food is lousy. I had the prime rib and it wasn't particularly tasty and a little tough. The dinner rolls have no flavor, unless you count the cheese spread, which isn't great either. The beer and wine is free flowing, but obviously very cheap. I had the cabernet, which was a mistake.

But let's face it. You don't really go for the food; it is all about the interactive entertainment. A topical mix of sketch comedy,  improv, and murder mystery.

I've been twice and although the whodunits we saw were neither airtight nor very cerebral, they were quite funny from beginning to end. It honestly doesn't matter too much who the murder is -  It is more about interacting with the characters that is interesting.

They work hard at put on a show that is both hilarious and acceptable for for kids. It isn't really a kids place, but if they are well-behaved, they can come.

It isn't a cheap evening and at least half of the grows was there to celebrate something: a birthday, anniversary or bachelorette party. It is Orlando, so they do try to get you do souvenir photos and junk you don't need, but it isn't forced on you.

What a great group on improv comedians these actors are.  I will agree that the plot of the show is lame at best but I thoroughly enjoyed the audience interaction with the actors and their witty imprompu responses.

The dinner was a bit above average with a tasty salad and crackers and cheese spread served before dinner.  Dinner was a cornish hen that was well done, with stuffing and green beans.  Dessert was a sweet key lime pie.  Oh, and the unlimited beer truly is.  They give you a big pithcer of beer and a glass and when you want more, you just have to ask.

I'm an Orlando resident and normally do not visit the tourist stuff but we went with a work party.  It really was enjoyable and I'd recommend to anyone.

Extremely disappointed!  We were VERY mislead by other reviews about this dinner show.  Sleuths was ranked as the number 1 dinner theater...what!?!  Not even worth our time.  Luckily we paid military price for our tickets.  If we had paid full price I would have been furious!  We left the show so disappointed!  Thankfully, 2 nights later our dinner experience was saved by Disney's Luau at the Polynesian Resort.  My family owns a timeshare in Orlando so we go every other year.  We have been to Medieval Times, Disney's Luau and the Pirates Dinner show several times.  Don't waist your time at the Sleuth's Mystery Theater.  Beer and wine are unlimited at this show.  Of course it is...you have to drunk to enjoy their less than mediocre show performance!

It was my first mystery dinner show and I found it pretty cheesy and hard to follow. Anyone could have been the murderer since everyone had different motives. The plot itself was sort of lame, and in the end, it sounded like they chose a random character as the murderer. The part that is interesting is that they come on stage and you ask them questions and they come up with answers to what you are asking...stuff you never would have known from just the performance itself.

The food isn't so great, and "unlimited drinks" is limited to bud light and wine.

I think the part that irritated me the most is they announced exactly how much we should be tipping them. Any place that tells me how much to tip drops a star.

We had a big group and we wanted to try out this dinner mystery.  First off the food was nothing to rave about.  The show itself was entertaining, there was a good amount of crowd interaction.  I think some of the characters were over acted.  The plot was pretty complex but it seemed like they could have chosen anyone to be the killer.  This was my first and only mystery dinner so I have nothing to compare against.  I did really enjoy the fact that it was all the wine you could drink.

    What a great dinner theater!

A few years ago when I was down in Orlando we went to see a show there, and were blown away by how great and funny it was.  The food was delicious, the drinks were bottomless, and the show was terrific.

We actually enjoyed it so much, we went back the following night.  They have about 10 shows that they rotate, so if you are there for a week you can go more than once without worrying about seeing the same show twice.  This is definitely a place I would love to go back to!
