The burgers are tasty but at $3.89 plus tax, you're better off ordering a McDouble for a $1. Â You'll get more. Â The Sonic fries are average and the limeades that are diet-flavored taste far too artificial. Â The Texas toast Philly cheese steak is flavorless. Â Add the tip for the car hop and the bill for two adults and a child was $25. That hit me like a sonic boom. Â It caught me off-guard. Â It's not worth the cost, especially for fast food. Â The novelty is a one shot deal.
Review Source:I hate to give a Sonic only two stars but this one in Newburgh never fails to disappoint. I have been here several times, always hoping I will get the Sonic of my Texas memories but it never happens. Wrong orders, bad lemon-berry slush, bad malts...Ugh, sorry guys, I hope you get your act together soon.
Review Source:I have never made it out of there in under 30 minutes. It always takes so long. I watched the drive thru lane sit there not moving at all and the car next to mine at the pull up order spot was there even longer than me and seemed to be going nuts. The servers are always really nice and and ice cream is decent but I always regret going because it takes SO long.
Review Source:I was so excited for a Sonic to open in Newburgh, but I've been dissapointed every time I go! Â The first time I went, they had a LOT of trouble understanding what we were ordering, and when they FINALLY brought our food out to the car almost everything was wrong. Â Every time I've gone since, I use the drive-through to try to save some time but it also takes sooo long. Â The only time it's worth going to Sonic is during happy hour for a half priced drink, as long as there's no drive-through line or you'll be waiting forever!
Review Source:Newburghers have been taunted by Sonic commercials for years. I say taunted because most of us have never seen a Sonic before!!!
It's in the Walmart parking lot so it's easy to find. The deal is that it's all drive thru. It's kind of like a gas station. The server ACTUALLY rollerskates your order out to you. (Our guy didn't really know how to stop but hey, I'm not there for the graceful service.) I wasn't hungry (I had just been to FIVE GUYS BURGERS AND FRIES) so I ordered a milkshake, since they are BUY ONE GET ONE FREE!!! How amazing is that??? For $2.91 I got a vanilla shake for my mom and the most delicious, sweet, creamy, fresh peanut butter and hot fudge shake for myself. When they say real ice cream, they mean it.
It's gonna be a long summer.
Went for a ride yesterday to check out the first Sonic in Orange County! Â Woot woot, we're really moving up in the world. Â First of all the location, it's basically in the Wal-Mart parking lot right off of Rt. 300, so you go get yourself some new clothes then stroll across the parking lot and pick up a Sonic burger.
It was a pretty shitty day (weather wise) so we thought the line wouldn't be too bad, it was about 10 cars deep (for a stall) and it moved pretty quickly. Â It's the same as every other Sonic in this country so I'll spare you the details on the food. Â Their beverage selection is where it is at. Â The shakes, limeades and the such are really, really good.
Anyway, it's def worth a trip if your in the area and especially if you've never experienced Sonic!
