  i have only had the brunch here and i loved it.  
  
  also - if you run out of keurig cups in your room at the morris, they will give you nice sized to-go coffee in the morning (free of charge).

  Both lunches and dinners are very good here.  Very attentive servers and good food, whether I've had fish or steak.  Eaten here maybe 20 times.

  My experience derives from business lunches mostly.  I've had perhaps a dozen meals here and never been disappointed.  The soups and salads are always spot and and seasonal.  Fish specials, stews, risotto, grilled meats, I've never known the place to serve mediocre chow.  And while I don't order those big entree salads with meats (like Thai salad or the like), my companions have always loved those.  This is one of the most reliable, if staid, places in the area.

  This is located on the notre dame campus located in the Morris inn. Every time I have eaten here the food is exceptional. Whether it is a simple hamburger to gourmet eggs Benedict the food was outstanding. I would highly recommend. The service staff is very friendly. Make sure to stop by leahy's and have a after dinner drink and say "hi" to murf.

  Apparently, the first reviewer is right. Locals don't come here much, and they are really missing one of the best restaurants in the region. We've eaten here many times over many years, and we've always had great food and good service. And it's one of the few places you can go and enjoy a quiet meal with friends and family sans telescreens making you wish you'd stayed home.
  
  PS--The Yelp map is off a bit. Sorin's is in the Morris Inn at the northernmost end of Notre Dame Avenue.

  Old, stodgy, drafty dining room.  Superb wine list.  Excellent food with intense flavor.  4 stars because it's on the ND campus, so you're sure to encounter some people with "airs" about them.

  How can I possibly be the 1st to review Sorin's?  Don't Notre Dame folks yelp?  This hidden jewel is a great fine dining option in South Bend for both lunch and dinner.  We go here about once a month for lunch and several times a year for dinner.  Lunch is very reasonably priced and offers many options.  Dinner is in line with pricing for other fine dining venues.  The menu is always creative and reflects the current season.   I am especially fond of their fall menu items.  The service here is exceptional.  For all the years we've been coming here, you always see the same wait staff.  I wonder if people in South Bend are aware that Sorin's is open to the general public?  I hope you try Sorin's and love it as much as we do.
