The View Tavern

First and foremost, The View (aka Parkview Tavern) is a bar and a smokey one at that! Back in the day they had $2 Tuesday with $2 burgers and pitchers of beer. Nowadays, it's still a bargain at $3.50 a burger (plus $1 for fries) and $3 pitchers of beer.

My husband and recently stopped in on a Tuesday to grab a burger and a couple beers (which turned into several hours and several pitchers!). Service is always great, even when crowded. It's a good burger for $3.50 and I'm sure some of their other burgers are even better. Onion rings and fries are always crisp and hot...and you can't beat their daily drink specials.

However, the smoking continues to be the biggest turnoff for us. It's not very appealing to eat with constant smoke and I hate coming home and smelling of cigarette smoke. We would definitely frequent more if they went smoke-free!
